5 out of 5 eggsAWESOME

Pros: Great clock speeds, superior cooling, great VPU control panel, and good quality accessories. I was debating between the 7950 GX2 and this card and the factory (Custom Thermaltake Tidewater) watercooling combined with the APE software make this the fastest and coolest single card configurations. AWESOME

Cons: Catylyst Contol center opens kinda sluggishly but ATI says that they are aware and are working on a fix (not really a big deal as it's just the panel and you normally don't access it a lot)

Other Thoughts: running dual opteron 248 troy cores...4GB PQI ECC memory... This Saphire Toxic... and 2 Raptor X 10,000 rpm drives in Raid 0... Newegg is where i buy most of my tech and I highly reccommend them to anyone.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT FAST !!!

Pros: FAST AND POWERFUL !!! I ran BF 2142, Need for speed carbon, Half life 2, CS Source and Oblivion all on MAX settings .. not one skip at all .. average well over 150+ fps on half live and CS source .. very very impressed .. liquid cooled .. OC's very nice and stable .. all in all GREAT CARD !!!!

Cons: ehh .. i guess the price but well worth the money .. i paid almost this much for a x850 when it was new so u its not too bad .. plus u get what u pay for !!

Other Thoughts: so powerful when i cranked all my settings all the way my battery backup started to overload !!! .. needs lots of power to run..

system specs: AMD 4200+x2 .. 2 gigs of kingston hyperX.. X1950xtx toxic .. nzxt zero black full tower case.. sound blaster audigy xfi .. 830gb hd .. 530 power supply .. msi k8n diamond mobo

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Quality card, comes in a large clear plastic box. Lots of cables and adapters to meet your needs. Easy install in a Dell XPS Gen5. The liquid cooling is very efficient as the card temps are staying low even under heavy stress. Overclocking is easy, and warranted if using the APE utility. Moved from ATI x850 xt pe. I can now run all games except FSX at max settings with no performance issues. The card is actually quieter, even with the liquid cooling, than my old card with the needed slot fan to vent the heat.

Cons: Price, single processor,

Other Thoughts: I debated between the nvidia 7950gx2 and this card. I chose this card due to the cooling concerns. My dell runs hot by default and I had overheating problems last summer with my x850 card. I think the 7950gx2 card is a good option if you have a cool case and lots of power.

5 out of 5 eggsLesson Learned

Pros: There I was, installing a Radeon X1800 (~$330) into my new ASUS A8R32MVP. I leaned forward causing the chair seat, heretofore compressed, to rise slightly. The movement of the chair piston and whatever material it moves against stripped electrons from the one material and created a static charge. Thank G** I was there to transmit this charge back to ground through my expensive video card and return balance to the Universe. Of course everyone knows you wear a ground strap when you do this kind of thing, but that is a lesson that must be learned (tuition can be a bit painful). So, what to do? Still need a video card, and might as well get the one I wanted in the first place—Sapphire X1950XTX (at about double the cost of the destroyed card). The wife already knows I’m insane, how more deeply into the doghouse can I move? For what it’s worth, the card is great (HL2 is fantastic!), the liquid cooling has been trouble free thus far and the CD includes a nifty overclocking utility (it

Cons: Price (even if you don’t add in an extra X1800).
Also, because they advertise “quiet,” one should know that the fan for the liquid heat exchanger is not quiet. It has 2 speeds (the switch is on the unit, not software controlled) and even in the slower setting, the fan is noticeably audible. In fairness, it is probably less noisy than the fans on the air-cooled units.

Other Thoughts: Awesome card. OC’ing via liquid cooling made hassle free.
