5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: The card has performed excellent so far and for the price I wouldn't hesitate to purchase more. I like to game and so far this card has performed without a hitch. Fine tune after install and have fun.

Cons: The only con I found was with the rebate. If you apply for the rebate and send in the tag off the package with the serial number and part number then you can't send the product back for replacement and of course that tag has to be sent in for the rebate. I filled out the rebate and sent in all the information but even though I followed the directions (to the letter) after reading Sapphire's rebate rules I'm left wondering if I will actually see my rebate. I don't like rebates that have so many possible disqualifactions. It seems there looking for any little reason to disqualify your rebate.

Other Thoughts: Otherwise the card is performing well and I'd buy more of them but I think I would search for ones without a difficult rebate and spend a few extra bucks to get it with out the worry of whether or not I'd receive the rebate.

4 out of 5 eggsSapphire ATi Radeon X1650 512MB is a solid card

Pros: 4380 3DMarks05 bonestock on my A64X2 4600+ 1MB DDR2
with AV+AS+Firewall on. EZ install and driver setup on 1st try. Nice looking blue PCB too. Displays very nice on 22" flat panel at high resolutions/optimum. Doom3 on ULTRA detail at + 1024x768 and 1280 no-problem at all. Oblivion looks great too. Lots of I - KANDY and FPS for the price. DVI- and VGA outputs too. Covers ALOT of installed diplays nicely. AERO GLASS ready. 512MB is nice too. Crossfire capable. Mail-in rebate.

Cons: Mail-in rebate.

Other Thoughts: With a motherboard that supports Crossfire, these cards in the Crossfire setup must be nice together, I am assuming. I like expandability like this so I grabbed two. Nicely packaged with all cables and driver disc. Running XPSP2.

4 out of 5 eggsworth it?

Pros: i mean it is a 512 for $50.49 128 interface but still $50 runs everything well. then again i went from onboard to this went from 4-12 fps on wow to 20-60+ adn 12-20 on CSS to 30-60+ so overall good card for the money.

Cons: it runs freaking loud when it wants which is a third of the time . but then again it could be my rig i only got a gig of ram and 2.8 processor.

Other Thoughts: thought it would be worse.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: this is the first graphics card i have ever bought and the price of this card is what got me to buy it. i play cs source, day of defeat, and world of warcraft all maxed out with very good fps. i havent put this card on some of the more demanding games such as crysis but this card definitely does a good job on old games. this card was a major difference to my ati radeon x1250 (integregated graphics). if your looking for a cheap card that plays really well on some older games such as cs source, then this card is for you.

Cons: do not use the drivers that are on the disc that comes with it. go on ati.com and get the drivers there. this isnt really a con but it would be alot more easier if they would just put the updated drivers on their cds.

Other Thoughts: amd x2 2.0 ghz, 2 gb ram, 250 gb hard drive, windows vista premium.

5 out of 5 eggsStill the best bang for the buck!

Pros: I bought this card for one reason only and that was to play Counterstrike and Day of Defeat Source on computer without having to upgrade my cheap 275 watt Power Supply.

This is the easiest video card to install if you don't have to have a PCI-express 6-pin connector. You just put it in there and turn on your computer!

It runs games great. Shader Model 3.0 makes games look much more realistic than my x850pro with SM2.0.

Cons: It does struggle when it comes to Bioshock and Crysis. Bioshock is very playable, just low frames is all.

Crysis runs VERY well on low. I just think when its on low it looks like a horribly made Day of Defeat Source map.

On medium settings i get from 25-60fps.

On high you ask? 4-20fps.

Other Thoughts: At $34.99 after rebate this card is one steal. Pick it up, its awesome. Here's the rest of my comp: AMD x2 4200+ Manchester s939 (from newegg,) 2gb A-data pc3200 (from newegg,) and THIS CARD.

2 out of 5 eggsSorry Sapphire!

Pros: I don't see any pros other than it isn't that expensive of a card.

Cons: I was hopeful when I purchased this card. It has some big numbers on it. Seems impressive. But for what I do with it it isn't working that is all I can say. I am no gamer per-se. I am in to virtual environments. Two of them now. There and Second Life. This card is not good for both places. In There it has trouble loading 3d objects up. They are all white with no texture on them for a long time. Then finally the texture comes in. I am running a 3ghz intel so that isn't the trouble. And a couple gigs of ram. Also Second Life's isn't doing so well either. The textures have a blue tint at times and I have to put the object on a transparency of 1 to take off the bluish color. No need to understand what I am saying other than it isn't good. I am hesitating too moving around. When I first bought the card it seemed like things did pretty well. Then it just went bad. Maybe it blew out a capacitor or something. Don't ask me technically what could have went wrong.

Other Thoughts: I don't know what I have to do to build me a nice system. Buy a card for about 200 dollars? No way. I am only good for about 60 dollars for a graphics card. I don't play intensive games. These environments shouldn't be that demanding. You know when you see these cards in the pictures. Look at it and usually you can see by how it looks if it will be something that will do you right. I should have known this thing looked cheap. I will tell you what I seem to like AGP better. I should buy another AGP motherboard instead of this pci express. My last pci express that was kind of cheap was lousy too. My AGP cards of about the same price I think do me a little better. In There the textures loaded quickly but it was just my other resources were low like my processor and ram at that time to be happy with it. Bottom line if your desperate buy it and see what it will do for you. I wouldn't buy another Sapphire if I can help it. Maybe in a couple years when I forget my bad time with this one.
