3 out of 5 eggsNice card, but not without its problems

Pros: Great for the games I play, although I'd don't play anything really hi-end like Doom or Halo. Has not often crashed while playing games, a huge plus over my last Raedon 7000! Even after a year it still works well for games and I don't see really updating for a little while. Recording and FM tuner were excellent as was the included software (not MMC, see Cons)

Cons: The TV Tuner crapped out after 4 months. Can't get a picture and I've tried serveral solutions from a fresh install to contacting ATI customer service. They were of no help seeing as I had already tried all the solutions they were recommending. MMC 8.8 was great, but there were bugs riddled in later versions.

Other Thoughts: Newegg got it to me on time, they've never let me down. Still a great price for the video card alone, and if you can get the TV tuner to work and last, then you should be in TV heaven. If you're not a really hard-core gamer, but not a basic one either, this card should work out quite nicely. Next time though I will buy my TV Tuner card seperate from the video card...

4 out of 5 eggsThe jury's really still out, but...

Pros: I'm not much of a gaming enthusiast, but I was able to use this card to play COD at the highest settings.

I love the "switch between displays" feature and have used it to watch movies on my television as opposed to my CRT monitor.

Perhaps the major selling point was that the card wasn't the latest-and-greatest, and as a consequence the card is significantly cheaper. Combine this with its performance (see other reviews for specific games and other issues), and what you have is a great value.

Miscellaneous kudos: Newegg, Newegg, Newegg...How do I love thee? Let me count the ways

Great service: Order was placed and processed and the card was out the door in 24 hrs.

Price: I used to price around, but I've learned quickly that this was futile. Great prices on everything!

I've built my home PC with 95% of the parts from Newegg. The company has earned my trust. Whatever you're doing, Newegg, don't change a thing.

Cons: The Remote Wonder II is wonderful, though the buttons are fairly small (which makes watching a movie in the dark tedious) and many (you need an MA in Buttonology to feel comfortable with it; note to ATI: Less is More).

The most frustrating issue that I'm having with the card is with EazyLook and its inability to startup after I've run other programs (i.e. web browser, Word, etc.) on the computer. To get it to respond, I have to reboot the computer. Then everything seems to work fine. I've contacted ATI support, and they've been prompt and enthusiastic, but ultimately unable to help me--their bottom line was to do "a clean install." Thanks, ATI. Really. Because, you know, I didn't think of that.

A more experienced tinkerer might be able to fix this problem, but I'm not one of them. Let me say something in ATI's defense: when it arrived, the AIW was the first to do the super-multimedia thing. I suppose what we have are the startup glitches, or I just might be incompete

Other Thoughts: Let me state some of the premises I had when I bought this video card--hopefully, they'll help you decide if this is the video card for you.

Mostly, my wife and I wanted a card for watching movies and I liked that the card allows you to hook up to an accessory monitor.

This was my first video card purchase, and I wanted something that could drive the games I wanted to play, namely AOE and COD.

Excellent value
Satisfying game quality
Dual-monitor

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Blazing Fast Graphics and really good compatability with games. Tons of inputs and options that can be accessed from 3rd party programs (TV Tuner, Video outs, Dual Monitors).

Cons: Took a ton of time for me to get it working correctly on the sister even with a fresh instalation of windows probably due to the configuration of the comptuers (Mo-Bo). The stand alone programs are rather terrible but the media center package is user friendly and understandable. Watching TV through the TV player is awful but through the media center package (included) it works great.

Other Thoughts: Once this card was set up I've loved it and it's still competitive with the best current cards. I just wish they would improve the software a little.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problems

Pros: Still using this card to play high end games (HL2, BF2).

Great recording capabilities!

Cons: Takes awhile to figure out what you need to update your drivers!

The tv guide software is terrible.

Other Thoughts: This card has been worth every penny I spent on it.

1 out of 5 eggsGreat, when it works

Pros: The multimedia center is actually pretty nice. Bood navigation, nice remote. Picture is good quality.
Newegg is always fast with ontime delivery!

Cons: Frequent lockups on my media PC. About every 45 minutes the system would lose video, lock up or do something strange. Ran with open case thinking an overheating issue but did not help. ATI was little help. Their suggestion was to try every version of the MMC software out there. They RMAed thinking it was defective but it did not help. After a while with them not helping they closed and deleted my support ticket. So much for support.

Other Thoughts: My media center PC is an Athlon XP 2500+ with a MSI KM4AM motherboard. I would probably stay away from Mobo's with the VIA KM400 chipset in them (like this one) with your All-in-Wonder Product.

4 out of 5 eggsExcellent for a starter media center PC

Pros: Easy install, nice solid performance. Plenty of hookups.

Cons: Remote does not have Ctrl+Alt+Delete. :p

Other Thoughts: Buy this card if you are on a budjet and need tuner capabilities. Worth the cash.

3 out of 5 eggsOne Year Owned

Pros: It plays all the high end games out there. I never did mess with the TV tuner. Sorry no help in that area.

Cons: Getting drivers for this card is as easy as the invidia cards. I owned a 3D Prophet before I bought this card, and to tell you the truth, I wasn't impressed. I was actually thinking that I would see a great improvement in applications smoothness, graphic textures etc. If you are in the market to buy a card, maybe you should avoid this one and go for a higher end card. If you can afford $160.00 for this thing, save your money and go for something better. No sense throwing away your money and being disappointed.

Other Thoughts: Do your research. Take your time when making a high dollar purchase.

5 out of 5 eggs128 MB Ram Plenty for all games today

Pros: for a card that does everything it's perfect great gaming card

Someone said that 128 is not enough in his opinion, which is all it is 8mb of video ram is all you need for DVD quality video most games don't recognize more than 128 mb RAM on the video card anyways 128 is plenty until maybe a year down the road where all the mainstream games will actually recognize more than 128 which is one point I tell people don't waste money on that extra ram yet the important thing is actual performance of the card if it has 128 it's plenty

Cons: lots of software to install no way around that though

Other Thoughts: last all in wonder I had was a plain radeon 7500 All in Wonder not pro it worked great and it only had 64 mb of ram. I'm not an idiot when it comes to knowing speed as well as I own an Asus N6800 Ultra Extreme with GDDR3 was interesting to benchmark it next to Asus' 6800 GT V9999 it seems they are identical minus a couple hundred points less in recent 3d mark on the 6800 gt which means it's a much better bang for the buck

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card!

Pros: One slot solution, excellent performance, works just as described. Software package free of bloat and is intuitive. Remote control included in box!

Cons: Included remote's mouse is a bit touchy and imprecise, lengthy software install. Lack of any sort of TV friendly GUI. No DV-I Connector (C'mon ATi, most Hi def TV sets have either this or HDMI inputs)

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card for use in an older Dell system that I had acquired. It works beautifully. Installation was about as easy and pain free as you can get, albeit it took about 15 minutes for the machine to install all the software. I hooked my Xbox up to the Video in Breakout box and I am noticing no delay at all! TV outputs are hardware based so you can still access your BIOS and other OS independent operations without hooking up a VGA monitor. So far the TV Tuner functions as you would expect, it works with analog cable and amplified rabbit ears just fine, but don't expect an ancient set of rabbit-ears to work well with this tuner. About the only thing I wish this card did was tune in AM stations.

3 out of 5 eggsYou can probably do better.

Pros: -Fair/good quality TV tuner.
-Good quality video card.

Cons: Cannot be used with a video game console! While hooking up an XBox to the purple input box, the ATI software decoder causes a one-second delay from XBox video output signal to image on your screen. Big inconvenience for video games!

Other Thoughts: Unfortunately, the video card portion is outdated. 128MB is no longer enough in my opinion. The TV Tuner portion is decent but probably not worth the money. I don't have too much use for this card because it doesn't work well when you hook up a video game system to the input box.
