5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is a very good upgrade card for someone looking to help those games run smoothly. It is hard to find a good card to run my Nascar 2003 game with 40-50fps and this card can do it.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Great price!!!

5 out of 5 eggsNice budget card

Pros: This card performed better than I expected, even with my ancient 4xAGP P4 mobo. I run HL2 in high with 2x AA - no HDR and Vert. Sync Disabled. I manage 50fps stable with no action and 30+ with lots of action. Other games run well with medium settings.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: My rig is just barely holding on with current games, but it will be replaced soon. P4 2.53ghz, 120gb 7200 HD, 4x AGP Intel Mobo, 1.28gb PC2100 Ram, Audigy 2.

5 out of 5 eggsAnwser to poster below

Pros: None

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: The reason it says 297mhz memory is because that's before it takes into account DDR ( double data rate) it doubles the memory mhz speed, so actually it is running at a speed of 594 mhz.. so don't worry.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat!

Pros: This card is great! In Half-life 2, by default everything is set to high. Same with Counter Strike Source, the HDR effect is amazing. My pc has a AMD 3000+ and it doesn't run with lag at all with this card! VPU clock is 526 mhz but for some reason my memory clock is 300, but this card is still amazing! On idle the VPU runs at 39 - 40c. This is a HUGE step up from my 9250, I can tell the differance.

Cons: Says memory clock is 600 on the site but for me it's 297.

Other Thoughts: If card came with a heatsink and a fan it'd be great. I feel the fan just isen't enough.

2 out of 5 eggsA Sapphire Indeed...

Pros: Decent card with overclocking potential. Handles most current games configured with average to subaverage settings better than most other cards out there. Sapphire always sell cheap.

Cons: Tends to overheat during graphically intense games. Intense texture loading seems to be a major cause of malfunction. Overclocking potential begins to wither. After a few months, card will begin to die and won't overclock at original settings.

Other Thoughts: Drop a non-stock fan on this card immediately - you'll have to tack an extra $20 at least on to the card's price. Sapphire makes strong video cards and sell them cheap, but they forget to cool them properly and the cards begin to break down quickly with the stock fan. They are becoming notorious for this problem, be careful.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Graphics Card for Low/Mid-End System

Pros: When suddenly I bought a Dell 2005FPW 20.1" widescreen LCD monitor, I realized I have to upgrade my graphics card as well to support this monitor, where the native resolution is 1680X1050. After extensive research and review on the internet, and discussing with other users, when I came up with a list of cards, I thought I should talk to Dell Customer Service for last time. As a Pro Gamer himself, when he looked at the list, he did not even have a second thought for choosing the card on ATI Radeon 9600XT. Now I completely agree with him – Dell 20.1” and ATI Radeon 9600XT, the best combination you can get for Low/Mid-range desktops. This card produces crisp clean text and pictures, smooth and fine movie play. Great price for a great card. By the way, Dell widescreen monitor is a piece of BEAUTY (CNet Review), in case you are thinking of buying a monitor.

Cons: Personally I haven't found any yet, so I guess it's better to rely on and review other user's comments for cons.

Other Thoughts: As usual, Newegg is always been the TRUSTED and the BEST for online shopping. I received my card in two days (from ordering to receiving in hand).

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: very good price, performance is as good as expected, plays WoW and Halo just fine. runs cool and quiet.

about 4000 in 3dmark03

Cons: ati driver updates are kind of a pain, but that is hardly the cards fault.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Low-end AGP card

Pros: -Excellent price with rebate
-Fast GPU

Cons: -Slow 128-bit DDR memory (not BGA)
-Only four pixel piplines
-GPU heatsink is extremely cheap and very limited.

Other Thoughts: -Replaced the stock heatsink with an ARCTIC COOLING ATI SILENCER 2 which required milling a portion of one of the memory heatsink pads to avoid contact with a capacitor.

Runs F.E.A.R. HL2 and doom at medium settings no problem, but you will experience lags and "jumpiness" at higher settings.
