3 out of 5 eggsDOES NOT WORK UNDER WINDOWS 7 !!!

Pros: As other reviewer mentioned, PITA to intall under Vista as replacement for nVidia. I also had trouble with nVidia Quadro NVS cards and Dell Precision workstations. Finally got these ATI cards installed under Vista and all is well.

Cons: Upgraded system to Windows 7 and now the card is NO LONGER RECOGNIZED as anything by Standard VGA.

NO WINDOWS 7 driver on ATI/AMD web site. No knowledge base or other info saying NO WIN 7 SUPPORT.

If you plan to upgrade to Win 7 soon, DON'T WASTE YOUR MONEY ON THIS BOARD!

Other Thoughts: I asked ATI what board they have that supports 4 displays and works under Windows 7... still waiting for a reply.

Under Vista and XP the board is fine. For 2D. It is NOT a "gaming" board. For $350-$400, it should have been a little better in graphics performance...

1 out of 5 eggsFireMV 2400 PCIE isn't!

Pros: Great reputation preceeded this adventure

Cons: Never worked out of the box. Symptoms either 'nothing happens' or 'constant reboot'. Tech support says, "Will only work in 1x1 PCIE." Saw no hint of that before purchase. Accompanying installation instructions clearly state, "... can be installed in either a X1, X4, X8, or X16 ..." OS is XP SP3 w/ 2 GHz. Symptoms changed by setting 'Primary Video Adapter' to PCIE (nothing) or PCIE (constant reboot).

Other Thoughts: Tech support also said, "PCI version will work, but you won't be able to move to Vista." The card I received wouldn't go into my Vista PC (HP) without dismantling the box - card too long to get into crowded device.

4 out of 5 eggs2 work fine in Vista 64 system...

Pros: Works fine, nice displays...used in trader system: Xeon 5365 CPU (quad core), 4GB RAM, Vista Business 64. Have two of these in the same system running 7 screens.

Cons: PITA to get up and running due to MICROSOFT PISTA, oops, VISTA issues... NOT ATI'S FAULT. Had to go through hoops to remove remnants of previous vid card drivers (nvidia). Make sure all displays are hooked up to cards so Vista will show displays as available... and you won't just have black screens trying to boot.

Other Thoughts: I've had some problems running NVidia Quaddro NVS 285 & NVS 440's together in Dell Precision machines. Changed them out for ATI cards, and machines have been running fine ever since.

5 out of 5 eggsPushing [4] 32" VISIO HDTV's

Pros: Works very well, Highly configurable settings for each display. 4 DVI outputs. Runs cool for a 4 head video card, has silent passive cooling. Used in a low profile chassis with included adaptor perfectly. Very happy with this card, as is my customer. Made good money on this job.

Cons: None really, would have preferred DVI > HDMI adaptors instead of the DVI > VGA.

Other Thoughts: Purchased 4 DVI > HDMI adaptors from new egg also to run the HDTV's. Sync'd up to 4 TV's over HDMI interface. Running Athlon 64 bit processor, 1 GB ram, Win XP x64 edition with the ATI drivers. System stable and running well. Used to display menu's at a local restaurant. Client very happy and wants me to build him another system for different location.

4 out of 5 eggsprice / performance = 4 eggs

Pros: Currently using this at my work - running 6 monitors, 4 out of this card and 2 out of an old x1300 that was previously installed in the workstation. Very small card and not a power hungry monster. No extra fans in the case - no extra noise, ideal for BTX cases.

Cons: ~ $400 for this is a little steep, I would probably never have spent the money if the were to come out of my own pocket.

Other Thoughts: Managed to install and run this card just fine on a cra**y Dell OptiPlex (hate their BIOS) - therefore you can stick in almost everywhere.

4 out of 5 eggstwo of theses card will not work together

Pros: read my other reviews

Cons: if you want to set up 8 monitors two of these cards will not work together. buy PNY NVS 440 instead. ATI support is so so. spoke to 3 different technicians, received 3 different opinions.

4 out of 5 eggsa little tricky to install

Pros: Good technical support by ATI, there is e-mail and phone support for this product. Can support 4 monitors, only tested with one so far.

Cons: Read the FireMV knowledge on ATI's website prior to installing. Not meant to be a 3D card.

Other Thoughts: PCIe 1x slot, Do not install any Intel graphics controller software. You have to disable any onboard video.
