Big silent type
- Pros: Low power, quiet, dual-head DVI outputs, HDMI output, works with Linux
- Cons: Big, but I have plenty of room
- Other Thoughts: I am using this card in a non-gaming Linux workstation, where dual-head display, noise and power consumption are most important. And 3D is there if I need it.
Like everyone says, this card is big, but it fit fine on my GigaByte EP35-DS3R motherboard in my Antec Solo case.
bad design???
- Pros: quiet, of course. installed easily. adaptors to go hdmi or vga.
- Cons: to my knowledge every motherboard has the memory in a similar spot. the passive cooler on this card is on the left side of the card. i do not see it fitting in the primary pci spot of any board. if you do not plan on running dual boards and/or you don't mind the card being on the secondary pci mount, you should be fine.
- Other Thoughts: the board is long but fits fine on an atx board.
it REALLY doesn't fit
- Pros: Looks super.
- Cons: I didn't believe the other reviews..... I bought this card because the heat sink was on the opposite side. It didn't fit any of the shuttle cases we have in the office.
