Rebate Absurdity

Pros: The card is OK for the money.

Cons: Just OK

Other Thoughts: I've filled out a lot of rebates over the years, but I NEVER have seen a process so obviously contrived to confuse and trip the customer. Download the form and you will see what I mean. I just spent 1/2 an hour with the form.

I strongly feel that Newegg should not legitimize this type of corporate treachery by participating in the process.

They can offer no legitimate reason for the number of pot holes, walls and obstacles they require for a simple $15 rebate.

I will NEVER buy another Sapphire product!

Rebate never arrived

Pros: Passive cooling.

Cons: Drivers are incompatible with ATI Wonder TV Tuner card. Nearly impossible to get a clean install. This is an ATI issue not necessarily Saphire.

Other Thoughts: Saphire never sent my rebate. I followed their instructions to the letter. I guess not paying rebates saves them money! Won't buy any more cards from these guys...

Pros: very inexpensive card with great features like: DDR3, PCI express 2.0, builtin audio for HDMI monitors
NO Noise
NOT HOT - I'm not sure where everyone else ran into problems but then again I have good case ventilation (3x120mm)

Cons: Average performer, if you can call it a con for the price
I took one egg off because I couldn't call a sub $50 card "excellent" Maybe if it had GDDR4/5 - sorry...

Other Thoughts: My old (exactly one year this month) xfx Nvidia 8600gt scored higher in the vista experience score (this card - mid 4's) but the feel that this card has is the same. For example when I run Itunes visualization it has the same frame rate (~58) It does seem to make my Nbridge run hotter for some reason. Also my CPU runs about 3-4 degrees hotter when I'm using it, depending on what I'm doing. But then again my Nvidia card made so much noise with it's little fan running at ~6K RPMs.
