2 out of 5 eggsBeware of warranty over Year 1

Pros: ToxicCards Have performed well for me 3870s, 4870s, and more

Cons: Sapphire Tech does not handle their warranty. This is fine in the first year, Newegg will handle that (Newegg Rocks!)
However, after the first year you will have to go through a company called Althon Micro. very hard to get a hold of, does not answer phone more often than not. No Email contact or RMA form on their website. With what I have gone through with getting a faulty Sapphire product returned, the Cons of getting the warranty coverage promised are outweighing the Pros of buying the card. It is beginning to feel like the warranty was only 1 year and not 2 as promised.

Other Thoughts: If you are OK with a 1 year warranty and not 2 as promised, Then go for it. Otherwise, check all the specifics of coverages close before you buy.
Newegg's service is stellar, Others are not so much.
Because of my Recent Experience with Sapphire, I will probably not purchase another Sapphire card.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: I was looking for a good mid-high end video card with a decent amount of RAM, good speeds and it needed to be cool and quiet. This card seemed to be the only one that fit those guidelines, and it doesn't cost a ton either. I was a little worried after hearing some Sapphire horror stories; but so far so good.

Cons: If it does break, I understand the warranty isn't the best.

Other Thoughts: I will probably buy a second one soon and crossfire them.

5 out of 5 eggsgreat performer for the price

Pros: - its cheap
- nice looking copper loops showing ;)
- Performance

Cons: - (kinda) noise on high usage is pretty loud, but not terribly disturbing.

Other Thoughts: benched this card vs a 4890 oc (xfx @ 900mhz) in resident evil 5 benchmark. the Realistic difference between this card and the 4890 oc was 3 FPS, in my eyes it doesn't justify getting a 4890 ;-)
* tests were done with the newest drivers and 100% identical system setup.

5 out of 5 eggsInstalled 2nd Card

Pros: Great single card. I got my 2nd and setup Crossfire. Was a tight fit between the two cards and I had only millimeters to spare between the two but they both run well. Cards topped out at 82-85 degrees Celcius when pushing them hard.

Cons: They do run hot when they are getting worked. The case I was using had a very good single 120mm Enermax fan in the front and a single 80mm Enermax fan on the side panel but it was high up and did not put new cooler air on the cards from the side. So, I'm RMA'ing it. I can feel the heat floating up from the case.

Other Thoughts: I'm RMA'ing the 2nd newer card and am instead going to replace my Thermaltake Soprano with a CM Sniper. If you do decide to run these in Crossfire make sure you get one of the more newer cases with a 200mm fan on the side blowing air right onto these puppies and a get overhead 200mm for outtake air. However, the 5870 just came out and a single one of those is almost as good as a pair of these and consumes less power in single or as a pair so, if you're thinking of pairing this card up, better holding off until the 5870 come down in price and just stick it out a while longer with a single Toxic 4870. Great card, been loving it.

5 out of 5 eggsStill kickin

Pros: This card is running great, even after a year. The 5 series are out, but This card still can play the latest games at max settings, no sweat. I play Left 4 dead, Team fortress 2, and GTA 4 at the highest settings. Been running at 1440x900 resolution

Cons: It doesn't pay my tuition.

Other Thoughts: This card will last a loooong time

Some games require a good processor too, not just the card

1 out of 5 eggsI wish they worked...

Pros: ...

Cons: I installed these cards hoping to complete my gaming rig. Unfortunately, they crash every minute the second I start to play any game. I've tried download the latest driver, scaling back performance, etc. but nothings worked. I'll just have to chalk this up as a loss since it's too late to RMA.

5 out of 5 eggsGREAT RMA SERVICE

Pros: This isn't a review on the card. this is a review on the rma service. i already reviewed the card. I was very skeptical of the ram process when i started. i hear horror stories and i thought about buying a new card. i submitted my rma and the next day i had it approved for repair or replacement and so i shipped it off. they said the turnaround is 2-4 weeks from when they get it. That is exactly what happened. they were quick to provide me with speedy email responses and also gave me a tracking number. i got my card today and it works just fine. I'm very happy with Sapphire.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: wish the turn around was like next day, i also wish they would cover shipping both ways and not just 1 but everyone has the same procedure so what can ya do.
