2 out of 5 eggsOverheated

Pros: Well, it worked great for about 1 year. And it works fine when I've got the A/C cranked down to 55 degrees, or in the winter. And it works fine for the first 20 minutes of using my computer.

Cons: Unfortunately, it has decided to overheat pretty dramatically, and it manages to crash my computer. Searching for a replacement.

5 out of 5 eggsgood deal

Pros: Amazing price when I bought it
I bought this vid card 3 years ago, since i have upgraded to a HD 5770 in my gaming rig. This vid card is now used in an old emachines with a single core athlon processor, 4gb of DDR ram(nothing special), and a cheap aftermarket case (for cooling) the card ran whatever i need it to on my gaming rig 3 years ago, and on the old emachines it still pushes games like WoW and SC2, IM POSOTIVE IT WOULD DO MUCH BETTER ON A MORE CAPABLE MACHINE.
As i pointed out the old computer is a dinosaur, but overall the card still works after 3 years (which is more than can be said about most nvidia cards)

ATI drivers and software are wonderful

Cons: None! I am a very satisfied ATI and newegg customer

3 out of 5 eggsbest BSOD card available

Pros: Can render just about any game on the market yet still has some trouble with SecondLife. Only issue is atidmg.sys driver file always throws a bsod.

Cons: Drivers are a peice of sh*t, nearly constant BSOD started about a year after purchase. Have tested other Radeon cards with same issue. ATIDMG.SYS is always the error file in a BSOD. No issues with Nvidia cards. Built an entirely new system, used same video card and still same problem. This thing is a year out of warranty and cant afford a new card. So I am stuck with it.

2 out of 5 eggso_O thermal paste

Pros: Its a great card for the money. HDMI is awesome at this price, and it does its job running the majority of the games I run on it. Check other thoughts for some more thoughts here. Seats nice and snug with two screws to make sure it doesn't go anywhere. Great performance when it isn't overheating.

Cons: I play call of duty 4 with everything set on max and it runs great. I load up Oblivion, and the screen is one big graphic mess. Can't watch a video without the drivers going into an infinite loop and bsoding on me. The newer the drivers the worse the problem is. Check other thoughts for more on this, because there is an underlying issue there.

Other Thoughts: Originally I thought it was just a bad card. It seemed that regardless of the driver the card would end in a bsod. I checked every driver revision and none of them changed anything, so I ended up looking at the card itself to see if there was anything majorly wrong with it. Sapphire messed up in manufacturing. I eventually pulled the fan/heatsink off to see if there was a problem under the hood. The amount of thermal paste applied is insane. Anyone else having this problem should just wipe it off and reapply paste of choice, and it wouldn't hurt to upgrade to a better heatsink if you have the money to drop on it. I haven't finished with this particular fix, as I need to order some paste...

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible!

Pros: My first Pcie 2.0 video card, and wOw! what a huge difference! Superb graphics without any flaws, and FAST! This isn't the biggest and baddest card Sapphire makes, but it does EVERYTHING I had hoped it would and more!

Cons: None so far, honestly!

Other Thoughts: Setup: Phenom II X4, Gigabyte AM3 mobo, Sapphire 4830 512M DDR3 graphics cars, (2)x(1) gig gskill 1333 mem, 360gig WD SATA drive. in a Raidmax Smilodon case. Coolermaster modular silent pro 600W pwr sup.

5 out of 5 eggsSOLID

Pros: This video card has exceeded my expectations, easy to install, comes with vga, dvi, and hdmi. The video card comes with a 6 pin power connecting using only one 4 pin molex which is a huge plus, most have to have 2 molex connectors.

Cons: The video card did not come with vga to dvi or dvi to vga adapters. Most video cards I have ordered come with atleast one, usually 2. No where near enough to dock an egg but a point to be made if you are banking on using both as vga or dvi.

Other Thoughts: 60 fps on wow on ultra settings with the screen in wide resolution and all the way zoomed out. 30 fps in Dalaran but that is going to happen.

5 out of 5 eggsSeems like a solid card for the price.

Pros: My last card was a Radeon x1650 build by Diamond. Compared to my old card this new one by Sapphire is practically an ice queen. I'm running both of them on two separate machines and the old one is running 60c on the desktop while the new one is running 45c while playing World of Warcraft and overclocked by a decent bit.

Likewise while the card shows its budgetary constraints, it won't play Crysis at maximum settings with a frame rate much over 30 FPS for example, it still manages to provide very good quality performance for every game I've played since buying it and remaining very stable while doing so.

Cons: The only cons I can think of are that it has a tendency to do a soft crash where Windows restarts the drivers if I play The Last Remnant while over-clocking the card and the over-sized nature of the cooling equipment.

Since the card can easily handle all but the most extreme graphics in that game at stock speeds and I bought a motherboard where such over-sized cooling wouldn't block a slot these aren't really major cons.

Other Thoughts: When I bought this card I looked at both its current performance, how it might fare in the future, how it stacks up to comparably priced nVidia cards, and how cost-effective it would be to buy a second one of these cards down the road and Crossfire them instead of upgrading to a whole new card. Taking all those factors into account this was one of the best cards on the market at the time I purchased it.
