Strange Problem
- Pros: Great price and good performance
- Cons: I'll give it 4 balls, but it won't work in the system I bought it for! This card puts the system into a strange stuttering/halting/barely running mode when I try to benchmark it or run the Windows performance assessment. Reboot and it's fine... for a while... Strange thing is the card works perfectly in another computer I have, also with Windows 7. I've tested the card for stability in that other system and it's perfect.
- Other Thoughts: My system is a brand new Core i5 (not overclocked) on the Gigabyte P55-UD3R board with 4 gig of Kingston PC3-10700. Power supply is an Antec Truepower Trio 430 watts and a fresh load of Windows 7 Home Premium on a clean hard drive. This system works perfectly with two other cards I've tried in it, so I'm at a loss to know what's the problem with the 4650... Oh well....
Good card
- Pros: Good performance, cheap, and quiet. Worked out of the box with Windows 7 and Media Center, even HDMI audio using stock Windows 7 drivers.
- Cons: Hard to get to the VGA connector using the full-height slot, it's very close to the edge of this case.
- Other Thoughts: Nice cheap card for HTPC.
i love it
- Pros: It is cool dont hear it and does the job.
- Cons: none
