2 out of 5 eggsGood video card but...

Pros: This was a really good card.

Cons: Died 1 week before the warranty expired. I did not know that the warranty was about to expired and contacted Sapphire one week later. They wont help.

Other Thoughts: I guess its time for me to look to other brands

1 out of 5 eggsDo NOT get this card!

Pros: Few. Almost since the day I got the computer as a gift from friends last year I've had constant display driver errors where it stops working and has to recover, and constant Blue Screens of Death (up to eight or ten per day on warm days and five or six during the winter). Updating the driver has not helped. Today the thing finally died on me. After yet another crash the computer went to reboot as usual except this time nothing but a black screen. I unplugged the monitor cable from the card, hooked it up to the default card, and my comp has worked without crashing so far. I will not be using this card or this brand again.

Cons: BSoD, Display Driver Errors

Other Thoughts: Really, there's no excuse for this kind of thing.

1 out of 5 eggsFailure

Pros: None-was never given the chance to find out anyway.

Cons: I bought this in 2010.This thing died on me for no reason. My screen was showing those fragmented lines w/e they are called. Then i have the blue screen of death whenever i turned on my pc. I can't even access to my desktop unless i use the boot menu.

1 out of 5 eggsNo Video Signal

Pros: Huge HeatSink. Looks like it would be a neat fit for a Casual PC Gamer Niche.

Cons: No video Signal. Tried using 2 different Monitors on all video sockets (VGA, DVI & HDMI) - still no go.

Other Thoughts: I am hoping to get an RMA from Sapphire as I didn't get to building the PC until after the 30 days was up. So I am now unable to return it to New Egg for a replacement or refund. Pretty Disappointed with the video card not even working, outside of the retail box.

Cons: None so far.

3 out of 5 eggsNot an expert, but...

Pros: Works well enough. Better as a standalone than in crossfire mode on my machine, but I'm not surprised.

Cons: Getting to be too highly priced.

Other Thoughts: Ok seriously with regards to some of the reviews:

SLI = NVIDA PROPRIETARY

CROSSFIRE = ATI/AMD PROPRIETARY

Other than that...

For those still using MS OS. Manually install updates only, and never install any drivers listed on windows/MS update. Those drivers will hose your system.

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well

Pros: Runs quiet and cool. Plays Portal 2 on maximum settings (I have yet to try other games) with absolutely no stuttering when running on full HD. Everything looked gorgeous once you get it set up.

Cons: My motherboard has no onboard video and this card was not recognized by the BIOS or Windows 7 at first. I'm not sure what changed, but I would never see the first stages of my BIOS loading when I first installed the card. I was also unable to install Windows 7 without installing it over Windows XP because 7 would not display anything on this card.

Other Thoughts: To me it looks a little strange in my case, I'm not used to having a dedicated video card. But once you get past the few bugs I had, it's a great card.

1 out of 5 eggsBig Old Goose Egg

Pros: Cheap..

Cons: Cheap. I've been stuck with this card for a while now and I've been unhappy with it the first week i got it.

It freezes randomly even in Microsoft Word!! I've wiped the old bios, installed the newest ones, call the help line, prayed to the computing diety, and i'm still experiencing the same problems. I don't know if its the hardware or the bios but, this is the one thing i regretted buying for this build.

Other Thoughts: I know with all this complaining I should have just got a new card sooner, which I finally did a couple days ago. This is what you get when you cheap out on the video card I guess.
