got a defective unit
- Pros: good performance so far
- Cons: the one I got was a bit defective. When running on idle, everything seems fine, but when engaged in a game (World of Warcraft) in my example, it would start making some scratching noises.
At first I thought it was the fan, but I've played with that and it does not seem to be the case. I searched for similar problems on Google but it seems nobody else has experienced this, so I'm hoping this was an isolated case.
I'm going to exchange it for another one with RMA, I'll update on how that goes.

- Other Thoughts: A huge upgrade from my 4870. Plays every game very smooth without any problems. I have also noticed that it runs very cool and quiet.
I didn't buy it here, but I wish I did. I would of got it a lot faster, instead of having to wait for it from Coast to Coast shipping.
FAST!
- Pros: Fast, low priced mainstream card. Purchased it at the retail price! Includes Dirt 2.
- Cons: not specifically a con, but does not overclock very well with stock cooling. LOUD when fan is set to 50 and above.
- Other Thoughts: Great overall, the 5800 series along with my OCed core i7 made me switch back to watercooling after going air with my last AMD opteron setup with a 1900xt. Draw your own conclusions ;)
