Still waiting for this card
- Pros: Best of the best single GPU video card for 2009/10. With a great come back from ATI.
The history finally repeated it's self again - since the days of R300 when ATI ruled GPU market - back in year 2002/03.
ATI finally has fastest single GPU on the market; and Nvidia simply cannot do nothing about it.
- Cons: This custom edition is out of stock :( :(
So I have to take one egg away for overall score; because I cannot buy it from newegg at this moment.
- Other Thoughts: My computer right now is:
ASUS P5K-D Motherboard (Intel P35) Intel quad Q9650 @ 3.6GHz (400x9FSB) ZALMAN CNPS9700 LED 110mm 2 Ball CPU Cooler Patriot Viper 8GB (4 x 2GB) 240-Pin DDR2 1066 (PVS24G8500ELKR2) ATI Iceq4 Radeon 4850 700core/1100mem Antec 900 case. 2X Liteon 16X DVDRW SATA drive Western Digital velociraptor 300gb SATA2 Western digital caviar 750gb SATA2 1.44mb floppy drive (just in case I may still need) Antec high-end 550 watt power supply.
This computer is not for gaming, but I may play sometimes if I get a free moment.
Direct X-11 looks good
- Pros: Fast Card , Runs cool ,DirectX-11, Runs games on high settings without a sweat.
- Cons: DRIVERS! Can not get it to run with CCC. Though there is not much overclocking with the control center. First had black screen had to reset Bios to get it to post. Then pixles and gray and black lines . Dumped the Control Center and it works fine. One egg for that.
- Other Thoughts: Replaced a GTX 260 216 core card , did not notice a $200 increase in performance. Better Bench marks and furture DirectX-11 Games make it a worth while card, but I miss the EVEA Percision software.
Very pleased
- Pros: Excellent performer, easy OC and keeps cool.
- Cons: Large card, but still smaller than others
Power hungry
- Other Thoughts: Coming off of an AGP system with a 3850, this was quite an astonishing difference in performance. I've been very pleased.
