5 out of 5 eggsBest bang for the buck

Pros: Quiet and plays everything I have thrown at it at the highest graphic settings. I will have to upgrade my processor and memory to push this card to its limits. Can't beat it for the price.

Cons: The driver software could be a little more automated. Just update the drivers from the AMD website once you install it and your good.

Other Thoughts: This will handle any game you can throw at it, and at relatively high graphics settings. I have been Nvidia guy for a long time, but wanted to try ATI since I was getting a few buggs from the Nvidia cards. No buggs, and a great price, can't ask for more. I will be installing another in my second gaming rig soon.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Bought this for building a new PC when my Nvidia 9800GT fried. Works great, faster that the previous card. So far so good!

Cons: Like some other guy said, why do we need some ugly CG ho on the card image? lol XD

Other Thoughts: A friend with more knowledge about video cards than me recommended me this card, and it was a pretty good deal when I needed a card on short notice.

5 out of 5 eggsHTPC + Gaming = This Sapphire 5770

Pros: A 5770 with a good cooler with a software-controllable fan.

This gives you the best of both worlds:

HTPC (quiet) :: Can be clocked down to lower mhz (650/900), and then the fan can be turned down to the lowest setting (20%). This means no fan noise. Windows Experience Index is still 7.1

Gaming (speed) :: Can be clocked 10% up at the default fan speed (auto, 40-60%). Windows Experience Index is 7.5

Cons: Does not give you HTPC cred, due to the fan.

Other Thoughts: # Always start with a quiet power supply and a heavy steel case if you want a quiet system.

# Most high-quality 120 mm fans are quiet in the 800-1000 rpm range.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat cheap dx11 card

Pros: great gaming card for those of us on a budget, dx11 support for games that use it. the 5000 series scales better than the 4000 series in xfire, and I plan to add another 5770 in the future.

Cons: didn't recognize my 'ancient' 20" widescreen vx2025wm correctly. CCC thinks the max resolution in 1600x1200 instead of 1680x1050. Running at the recommended 1680x1050 (which I did just fine on my Geforce FX5200 for years) doesn't work, the screen will pan because it thinks the monitor is only 1600 pixels wide!
I installed viewsonic drivers for xp, installed latest CCC and drivers (as of august 2010), still doesn't configure right, so I run my 20" now at 1440x900, which is blurry and ok for gaming.
If I can get the resolution issue fixed, this card would definitely deserve 5 eggs, but I'm taking 1 egg off for this monitor issue.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing ;-)

Pros: What I can say? Amazing! For the price, this is the one of a best performances you can get. It is nice. It is cool. It is quiet. It is Sapphire. It is ATI. I love it ;-)

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Smart solution as from an inside architecture & schematics to heat sink & cover & fan. Never had any issues with quality of Sapphire's products ever. Thank you!

1 out of 5 eggsterrible

Pros: none

Cons: Little/poor instructions
Turns off after 15 minutes of use
standard screen adapter is terrible quality; unstable
can only be reliably used with hdmi

Other Thoughts: I'm asking for a replacement. Might retract this review if I just got jipped on a bad card. Still jipped out of more of my cash on shipping either way. Won't be buying sapphire products again.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Graphics Card!

Pros: Lets me play all the games I play (mainly Fallout 3) in the highest detail with great FPS. In addition, it idles around 40C.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I got this specific card for its price per performance ratio. I must say that I am very happy with it. In addition, it does not turn my computer into an oven, so that is a another bonus. If you are looking for a graphics card, I'd recommend this one! Also, in case anyone is looking, the windows experience indices here they are:
Graphics: 7.4
Gaming Graphics: 7.4

5 out of 5 eggsVisual bling on sale.

Pros: Easy install, drivers on disk are old go to AMD for the latest stuff and the card works great. Runs starcraft 2 on ultra without a hiccup.

Cons: You must become intimate with the catalyst control center. I had some empty space on my HDTV... Had to do some help file stuff. In Desktops and displays right click the smaller screen in the corner to "configure" Resolution, scaling, Hz etc.

Other Thoughts: My HTPC: intel I5 661 CPU- Asus p7h55-m/csm MB- Asus BD drive CD-DVDROM- Thermaltake 750w PS- WD 500GB sata drive- Westinghouse 42" HDTV (1080p) and now sapphire 100283-3l HD 5770.

4 out of 5 eggsCareful

Pros: Good card, I have two rigs running this card. Good price to performance ratio.

Cons: This card has an issue with DVI connections & monitor recognition. I actually returned the first card received in my second order because of what appeared to be a DOA issue. Upon receiving the RMA replacement, the same issue persisted. So I did some out-of-the-box troubleshooting only to find my system not recognizing my monitor (Westinghouse LCM-22w3) but recognizing my others (BenQ and another Westinghouse newer model). Ironically, my other PC loaded with the 100283 standard model of this video card recognizes the LCM-22w3, so I was able to just switch monitors.

Other Thoughts: It's a very odd issue to troubleshoot monitor recognition because they are PnP hardware, typically without any real drivers. To any even middle-of-the-road tech person, the card really does act like it's DOA or has a card problem (ie. windows loads in background with black screen).
