4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Affordability. Definitely worth the money. I'm not a heavy gamer, but the games I do play, it handles it with relative ease. No stuttering on video playback. Screen is set to 1920x1080 on just about everything I do.

Cons: None really - I didn't buy this expecting it to be a world of difference, just as a temporary upgrade until I bought the PC I am building.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price. If you're on a budget, and would rather just play a game than to play it at the highest detail level, then this is for you. I recommend this card to anyone needing an upgrade, or someone on a budget. Money well spent in my book.

Pros: great price, silent, okay graphics

Cons: it is a must to change the old crusty thermal paste to get any decency out of the card

4 out of 5 eggsgreat card for the price

Pros: Does exactly what its rated for
Quiet
Installs easily

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this card as a upgrade from a Radeon hd 3450. I mainly use it for online gaming and photoshop work. The games I have played so far are Star Wars TOR, Jedi academy 3, Star Trek Online, Silent Hill 3, War Thunder. The card is easily overclockable as I have it running 110 MHz over. For the 30$ price tag you cant beat that.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Installed it in a refurbished SFF desktop. Many notes about using these fanless 5450 cards in PCs mentioned heating. I also fabricated a mount for a (full height) slot cooler to sit against the top and suck warm air from near the CPU and exhaust it out the back. The only real graphics intensive application used is Stellarium (for night sky maps), and it works fine there. Logouts from X11 are noticeably faster.

Cons: Nothing noted.

2 out of 5 eggsHDMI sound cuts out sometimes

Pros: Quiet, uses little power.

Cons: This card is in my multimedia box connected to my TV, so it was only intended for watching movies and shows. I'm using the HDMI out to carry the audio and video, but unfortunately this setup sometimes results in the audio cutting out for a second or two, which didn't happen with my previous card.

Other Thoughts: I had pretty minimal expectations for the card, but unfortunately it fell a bit short.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat upgrade for that old pc.

Pros: The card paired greatly with a old intel core 2 quad q6600. This card is not top of the line by far but it allowed me to watch full 1080p movies and play popular mmo`s at full resoultion.( on a 42inch tv)it was a great upgrade for the price and runs just as well as my i5-4670k`s on board graphics( for what i can tell). The hd5450 is not the bottleneck in that system at all.

Cons: It does get a little hot but thats expected, and the heat sink sucks this is why i drop it an egg but besides that nothing.

Other Thoughts: I fixed the heat issue by puting a fan facing and fixing cables. you dont have to have a fan on it but i did it just because i dont like heat.

5 out of 5 eggsWorks in Older Mac Pro!

Pros: HDMI, Fanless, Better than stock ATI2600 card in Mac Pro 2008

Cons: Requires hacking system files, does display during boot.

Other Thoughts: I was hoping to upgrade the 256M ATI2600 card in my 2008 vintage Mac Pro (3,1, running MacOS 10.7.5 "Lion"), without spending too much on a lost cause. Initially it didn't work, but I followed the instructions here: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/4091453 (I hope that link is allowed; it's got useful information) and those seem to have worked fine, except for the expected issue of not having a ROM that supports display during booting.

4 out of 5 eggsGood extreme budget card

Pros: Very cheap, 30 bucks. Play 1080p videos perfectly in VLC, and I'm talking HQ Raw Blu-Rays at 1080p resolutions. Stays cool, good for average computing. Unusable on most games out there today, as to be expected. If you simply need a video card for computing without gaming, this one is pretty good for the price!

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card

Pros: For a $40.00 card this is a great little thing. Playing Splinter Cell Blacklist on ultra and highest temp is 40. Did not even have to over clock. So for a budget graphics card this is the one.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: No fan but not a big deal. Stays pretty quiet.
