Pros: Appears to be a fine video card with good features

Cons: Unable to find out how good this card is because would not bood on my older board (MSI K9A Platinum). It fit the PCIe X16 slot, but would not post, even with a 550 watt PSU. Upgraded the bios to AMI 1.9, but still no post.

5 out of 5 eggsnice starter video cards

Pros: We use these little guys at the medical company I work I.T. for and I've never had one go bad on me. The girls pretty much only use them for dual screening but I recently got one for my girlfriend since she does a little minor gaming and graphic design and she's never been happier.

The card handles more simple games such as The Sims 3 and League of Legends really well but I haven't been able to try other games yet. It's also really good for when she is drawing/coloring on the computer as well.

Also the card comes with a low profile bracket which is really useful if you need it like we do at work.

Cons: Heatsink gets pretty hot but not at a dangerous level.

As much as I love sapphire cards (I use an HD 6870) the catalyst control center might bug you beyond belief. You can only update the drivers through the control center and if your mobo or CPU are faulty in any way it can sometimes keep the control center from installing. I've only had this issue on one PC but even to this day that poor PC is just running the basic drivers because of it. Still works, but could be working better.

Other Thoughts: If you're planning on trying to use this as an actual gaming graphics card you might want to go for something more powerful but if you just need a simple and strong card then this little guy is perfect.

2 out of 5 eggsPay for what you get

Pros: Works well when working, but will go out quickly but 3 yr warranty.

Cons: First one after 6 months dvi port went out, got replaced. Now after 2yrs went dead.
But has 3 year warranty and will replace, at your expense shipping back with RMA

Other Thoughts: Might want to pay more for better card if using long term

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Does what it says on the tin. Many connectors for happy multiple monitor times. I'm using it for a DAW, so it's probably more performance than I need. Low profile also helps, and it comes with brackets to move the VGA port, which is nice. Not nvidia, so getting it working nice under Linux has nothing to do with bowel surgery.

Cons: Bit hot, but no surprise there. VGA connector could stand to be a bit longer.

5 out of 5 eggsPleasured thouroughly

Pros: -Runs great! Now I don't crash while playing league of legends!
-runs cooler than my CPU (checked with hand)
-not difficult to install just had to take off the metal plate in front so it would fit and shoved it into the correct PCI slot

Cons: -a person who knows nothing about computers except for how to type will have a tough time installing even though its just a step above sticking a flash drive into the USB hub

Other Thoughts: pretty nice software

3 out of 5 eggsWorked fine - for 2 years, 4 months

Pros: Dropped in and worked fine. Improved performance over built in video card.

Cons: Stopped working today, after 2 years and four months. Probably a manufacturing issue with the BGA parts and the thermal cycling these things go through.

3 out of 5 eggsBlacklisted for slow rebate

Pros: Card is OK for a spare.

Cons: Even though my rebate was approved, it's been over 3 months since I bought the card and no rebate. Companies used to be able to profit from interest on the rebate money, don't know why they delay payment now. It certainly doesn't make me want to buy from a company that does this.

3 out of 5 eggsCaution

Pros: Good GPU

Cons: Low profile only for DVI and HDMI. VGA is not low profile unless you want to use a soldering iron

4 out of 5 eggsworks for me

Pros: works for me, plug it in, some dittling with the bios, some surgury on my os and up she goes, I only have basic needs for a vdeo card, and don't have any games other then pychess and AisleRiot Solitaire
I like that it doesn't have a fan, well execpt for the box fan I have setting front of my open box, since it so freaking hot in this room in the summer.

Cons: It a rant really, I wish the amd drivers were more supportive of linux, sspecificly fedora but for now the open source ones seem fine
