1 out of 5 eggsWon't output HDMI and VGA

Pros: None

Cons: I bought this to replace my HD43xx that was having fan issues. When I plug my older VGA monitor and my HDMI monitor into it the system starts freaking out trying to change the monitor resolutions on both and ends up in a loop that makes it unusable.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Value

Pros: Best value video card for inexpensive applications, like low-end PCs and all other PCs that don't need great gaming graphics. Silent operation. 1GB.

Cons: Not much. Horizontal cooling fins?

Other Thoughts: I go to and view the AMD and NVIDIA parameter tables. The main thing I look at is the GT/s and GP/s divided by price ratio. For low end PCs, GP/s (Pixels) are more important than GT/s (Texels). This one is 2.6 GP/s. Not bad for $29. This helped a Core 2 Duo PC run faster because it offloaded the northbridge <=> memory graphics bottleneck.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Affordability. Definitely worth the money. I'm not a heavy gamer, but the games I do play, it handles it with relative ease. No stuttering on video playback. Screen is set to 1920x1080 on just about everything I do.

Cons: None really - I didn't buy this expecting it to be a world of difference, just as a temporary upgrade until I bought the PC I am building.

Other Thoughts: Great card for the price. If you're on a budget, and would rather just play a game than to play it at the highest detail level, then this is for you. I recommend this card to anyone needing an upgrade, or someone on a budget. Money well spent in my book.

4 out of 5 eggsgreat card for the price

Pros: Does exactly what its rated for
Installs easily

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I bought this card as a upgrade from a Radeon hd 3450. I mainly use it for online gaming and photoshop work. The games I have played so far are Star Wars TOR, Jedi academy 3, Star Trek Online, Silent Hill 3, War Thunder. The card is easily overclockable as I have it running 110 MHz over. For the 30$ price tag you cant beat that.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Installed it in a refurbished SFF desktop. Many notes about using these fanless 5450 cards in PCs mentioned heating. I also fabricated a mount for a (full height) slot cooler to sit against the top and suck warm air from near the CPU and exhaust it out the back. The only real graphics intensive application used is Stellarium (for night sky maps), and it works fine there. Logouts from X11 are noticeably faster.

Cons: Nothing noted.

2 out of 5 eggsHDMI sound cuts out sometimes

Pros: Quiet, uses little power.

Cons: This card is in my multimedia box connected to my TV, so it was only intended for watching movies and shows. I'm using the HDMI out to carry the audio and video, but unfortunately this setup sometimes results in the audio cutting out for a second or two, which didn't happen with my previous card.

Other Thoughts: I had pretty minimal expectations for the card, but unfortunately it fell a bit short.
