5 out of 5 eggsThis thing was a beast

Pros: I used this card since 2011 and it has been nothing but good to me between gaming and cryptocurrency mining it is just flat out amazing I've tried 7970s and I just don't like them compared to this cards performance

Cons: Fan is loud as hell especially compared to a 7970

Other Thoughts: wish it was still being produced so I could buy more of them from newegg

5 out of 5 eggsBest investment ever

Pros: First I'd like to say thank you Sapphire for making such a great card. I even got a second one 2 months after the first one because it was so great.

These bad boys can take a lot of abuse. They have a whopping 2 gigs of dedicated memory on a single gpu with a total of 10 gigs of shared memory PER CARD.

That's friggin' huge. Even by today's standards.

It can run anything. Twice over. I've tried everything. Crysis, Crysis 2, Crysis 3 MP Beta. The Witcher 2. Minecraft with all of its maximum settings plus a 256 bit mod with shaders. Battlefield 3. Planetside 2. The list goes on people I have tons of modern games installed on this PC. This monster is future proof and I can attest to that.

Cons: None. Beautiful card. Worth every penny.

Well, I don't really find this a con because of my headset and because of my masochist ego. But the cards are big, and they can get loud. Although, again, I find it more of something to brag about then dislike.

Other Thoughts: It's a big card so you'd better have the case for it.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome

Pros: Runs everything great and a lot cheaper than a 580. I also haven't had any problems with noise it is rather quiet even when overclocked slightly.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I wish they still sold this version so I could crossfire the same model cards

1 out of 5 eggsJust Warning Before You Buy

Pros: The card itself is great, I can't think of anything bad to say about it. It runs everything I play ( The Witcher 2, Crysis 2, Deus EX HR, GTAIV with iCEnhancer...etc ) at max setting with no problems, never dips under 30fps. I'm only running one of these, I was thinking of getting two for a crossfire setup, but personally I don't see the need right now.

Some people on here have complained about noise, I think it's really rather quite, and my tower is an open case design, and I am sitting right next to it. My previous card (MSI R4890 Cyclone) was extremely loud...this card is whisper quite compared to it. The size of the card is quite large though, you probably should have a full tower case, or a good 11 to 12 inch's of clearance.

Cons: The $20.00 rebate, this is why I gave the card/Sapphire such a low rating. I bought this card about 2 months ago, sent the rebate in the day after and still have not received it. The company they use ( Althon ) has rebate tracking...says they have received & approved my rebate, I have made attempts to contact them through e-mail, ( they said they'd get back to me in two business days)...it did happen, my requests have been completely ignored. And they have the nerve to offer rushed rebate processing for a fee...personally I think they should be great full that you purchased the card from them, and rush the rebate to you to begin with, not make you have to pay for it, and have to fight to get it.

Other Thoughts: Personally I would buy a 6970 from another company than Sapphire. One that will pass the savings on through the actual price, and not make you intentionally wait, and jump through hoops just to get your rebate back. Seriously, why offer a rebate and not honor it???. I will never buy from Sapphire again after this experience, I have no respect for a company that treats they're customers like this...I expected better from Sapphire.

5 out of 5 eggsRunning 2 in X-fire

Pros: Running Two in X-fire noticeable improvement in graphics effects from my 5850. Blazing frame rates. Temps are good after installing Afterburner. Should be set for foreseeable future on games to come. Cards worked out of the box with no issues, never had a problem with Sapphire cards my manufacture of choice for AMD cards. Came with Dirt3 for free.

Cons: Loud. Sounds like I have a leaf blower in my case when fan spd hits 75%. These things are loud but much better after Afterburner was installed to regulate the fan speeds. Before installing Afterburner one of the cards would not throttle up on fan speed as the temp went up and hit 81c while bench marking.

Other Thoughts: After installing Afterburner I customized the fan speeds for different temps. This is not only helping keep the cards cooler it is much quieter. Temps now do not exceed 64c while under heavy load for hours during late afternoon heating in TX. That is keeping the AC at 79 F during the day. I am still running the cards stock no OCing just using AB for fan control.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card!

Pros: This video card runs all my games great! Its not as noisy as my 5870 crossfire was, and was included with a complimentary copy of Dirt 3 which I find to be a very enjoyable game. The 2gb makes all the difference.

Cons: The card will run a little hotter than I am used to however that would be due to the extra power it uses. Its a little noisy for a single card but I use MSI Afterburner options to keep it within the 70's Celsius so it could always be user error. I just like keeping my video cards cool!

2 out of 5 eggsTerrible luck with this card.

Pros: VERY powerful card for what I paid for it. I was running Rift with almost every setting fully maxed out. AA was only set at 4 though, since i couldnt tell the difference in anything higher. Running at 1440x900 i got an average of 45 FPS in town, with lots going on. Fairly impressive for an MMO. Out in the wild 60 was easy, and stayed at 30-4- during large raids.

Cons: First one i had Shorted out on me within the first week. The second one i got from RMAing the first lasted about 3 weeks. First the DVI port decided it didnt like the color red, and everything had a very blueish tint to it, so i switched over to HDMI. About a week after that i lost all picture altogether. Just to make sure it wasnt a possible motherboard problem we put in an older card my friend had lying around and it worked fine.

Other Thoughts: I'm not sure if i'm just having terrible luck with this card, or if theres some weird hardware conflict going on.

I was running the card in an ASRock P67 PRO3 SE LGA 1155 Intel P67 SATA 6Gb/s USB. My power supply was an OCZ ModXStream Pro 700W.

Nobody in r/buildapc had any thoughts on either of those being a problem.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Card does everything advertised.
Has done everything I've put against it with out even blinking.
Crazy fast video card, especially for the money.
Latest AMD drivers include overclocking tools built in.
Outer Heat-Sink Case encloses entire card, giving less change to screw something up by touching the circuit board.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: Other reviews talk about how "huge" this card is, however it is no bigger than my BFG-Tech GeForce 8800 GTX-OC that I replaced.

Also so far as not seemed as loud as some review make it seems.

Do NOT try to put this into anything smaller than a Mid-Sized Tower. I put this into a Full-Sized ThermalTake Armor case and it fit with no issues.

5 out of 5 eggsIt's fast! Go RADEON

Pros: Runs BF3 on high at 70-100 fps! (with i5-2500 + 8gigs RAM)
TF2 on high at 150+fps
Free DIRT3 game

Cons: Like everyone else says, it's HUGE.
Get's a little warm... be very careful if you plan on over-clocking this hardware. It will heat up fast.

Other Thoughts: 8-9 years ago a Radeon 9800 pro 128mb was $350 Today, you get a 2g card for the same $$. Crazy.
