5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: All around great card. Ran quiet and cool with great quality video output.

Cons: Sealed fan died after 5 years in my dusty case. Only fan to die in my case yet, and it wasn't the dust.

Other Thoughts: It lasted as long as I intended to keep it. I could replace the fan for $30, but I would rather upgrade to a new card. A new card is in the mail.

Worthless for me to write a review on this as the card is no longer sold, but it earned the good feedback.

2 out of 5 eggsSparks flew...

Pros: It was a great card. Able to handle a lot of things that I threw at it.

Cons: Well, after almost 2 years of heavy use, and by heavy I mean sometimes days of constantly being on, it finally died. With sparks flying off it. My system is limping on older parts that are not reliable anymore. But I was surprised to see sparks from this unit. It has made me a but weary of purchasing Sapphire again though.

1 out of 5 eggsDied after 13 Months

Pros: Ran great for a year.

Cons: Died after only 13 months. I have been having sporadic issues off and on for a couple of months. It finally died. Fan still spins, but mother board will no longer recognize the card.

Other Thoughts: I haven't had any issues with Nvidia cards. Will probably go back to them, even though I had high hopes for this one.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent card, I dont understand any of the other reviews that had probs. Card's temps 34C idle never goes above 44C gaming. Some folks know how to build a PC and most dont. This Lian Li case I have has been modded and everything runs cool on air, overclockin fool I am...*grinz

Cons: Regret I didnt buy two for crossfire.

2 out of 5 eggsReceived 2 bad cards

Pros: Card ran everything on high, which was what I wanted

Cons: For the first card, I had alot of screen tearing so I RMA-ed the card. The 2nd card I received I wasn't even able to do anything as the screen would either go completely black or white, but if I use the integrated graphics card it was perfectly fine. So another RMA in the process

Other Thoughts: RMA-ing through sapphire, you have to pay for shipping. I bought the card for the vapor-x cooling, but considering I received 2 bad cards, It would have been better if i just went for the gtx 560ti.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: -Runs everything that I throw at it at high-maxed settings (A resuly of my monitor resolution only being 1440x900).
-Runs cool. Idle temps of 40-42C. Never rises above 56C on stock settings, even after a good 4 hours of the Battlefield 3 Beta.
-Decently quiet (But hey, you won't hear a thing if you play with a headset).
-Came with Dirt 3
-Supports CrossFireX

Overall, this card is awesome. It does everything that I wanted it to do.

Cons: -The card is IMPOSSIBLE to find. I ordered mine back in the beginning of September 2011. After I received the card and put together my first build, I went on Newegg looking to buy another Vapor-X for Crossfire... Well, Newegg hasn't restocked the card since then... It's now a month later and I'm still waiting for Newegg to get a new shipment of the cards so I can finally order another one.

Other Thoughts: Come on Newegg! PLEASE, get some more 6870 Vapor-X's
I NEED another card!!

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Anyone who is looking to overclock their card without having to worry about temperatures, this is the card to get. With out a doubt.

-The fan is quiet up until it hits 75%, then it trucks. Which is awesome because Sapphire really was dedicated to making a quiet/cool/overclockable card.

-I have pushed this card to go up to 1200 1250, @ 1.24 volts and the idle temp stayed the same. When it was pushed it got to 56C but hovered at 54-56C while on MSI Kombustor.

-A lot of these reviews people saying it idles at 40c? All i know is, get the extended warranty ;) So they choose a really good card off the shelve for you that is perfectly made. I mean its a big difference in Idle temps, idk where they live but in New york it gets to 95F in the summertime.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: The vapor x technology is without a doubt one of the best cooling solutions you could have for your card.

I live in New York, Buffalo, to give you guys an estimate of what my climate is like. This card runs idle at 28-34C. At full load it doesn't go past 53C.

And i have this overclocked to 990CC and 1140MC, with stock voltages.

I currently use the Sapphire Trixx Overclocking utility, and its a cut and dry setup for managing your graphic card.

The types of games i play are...

-Oblivion Elder Scrolls (with Qarls texture pack)

-Played the Battlefield 3 beta, very buggy, but when there weren't bugs in the game i got around a steady 40-50 FPS with everything on ULTRA 8x AA with super sampling.

-World of Warcraft, is actually a very taxing game when everything is up on Ultra. the lowest peaks of FPS i get are 35-40, but then it keeps shooting back up to 90FPS. To let all of you know, WoW is taxing because they dont use your Graphic card shader clock, instead they tax

1 out of 5 eggsWorked for 6 months.

Pros: Ran Battlefield 3 at high res for a few days!

Cons: It caught fire. And the fan was still spinning, so was not a fan issue. Also the warranty.....yea after the 30 days New Egg gives you, you are hosed. Even though it says 2 years parts and labor. When you go to their web site, they say to talk to the seller, they don't replace devices. And of course it broke on a Friday night so have to wait till Monday to try and fight with New Egg. Hopefully we can work something out.
