5 out of 5 eggsGreat Gamer Still

Pros: Great Price.
Very Overclockable, Wow.
Stock Cooling Keeps It Cool.
Compete's With Even The Newest Graphic's Cards.
Beat's The 6850 In Most Benchmarks.
1440 Stream Processor's Mean's Ability To Keep Up With Future Games.

Cons: Poor Heatsink And Fan Design Blows The Hot Air Into Your System Case Instead Of Out The Back.
Only One Crossfire Bridge, So You Can Only Use A Maximum Of Two Graphics Cards In Crossfire.
Does Not Handle Tessalation As Well As The 6000 Series And Up.

Other Thoughts: Overall This Is A Great Graphic's Card, Able To Play The Newest Games On A Medium High To High Setting.
I Would Recommend Buying Two For The Price If Your System Can Support It. I Have Been Running Mine For Just Over A Year Now And Have Never Had An Issue. Just Wish I Bought Two When I Had The Chance.

5 out of 5 eggsSatisfied

Pros: 129.99. Same price as the 5770 and lower than the 6850 and better performance than both.

Quite satisfied

Cons: It doesn't cook or clean my crib

Other Thoughts: The card has performed marvelous so far, and considering I game at 19* by 12* resolution, all games aren't maxed out but one notch below.

1 out of 5 eggsDied within a few months and no service

Pros: Good speed, and relatively quite, when it was working

Cons: The fan has all but gone and not I cannot get service without paying the Canadian RMA company $45, plus the cost of shipping my card to them. This is the last time I purchase a product under the Sapphire label. Other companies have dealt with their poor quality products far better than this.

Other Thoughts: I advise you to stay away from Sapphire Technologies if you care about your warranty.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing video card

Pros: This is my first ATi video card in a loooooong time. (Last one was a 9700 Pro) and wow, this thing impressed me. For $140 you really can't get anything better. This thing is on par with GTX 470's. It plays any game I want it to on max settings and highest Anti-aliasing. Gotta love it!

Cons: Got lots of that white goo on the top of the PCB, it's nasty but doesn't affect the card's performance

Other Thoughts: Sapphire and ATi/AMD have earned my respect, I'm going to use this thing for a long time

1 out of 5 eggsFan Died after 2 months + Driver Issues

Pros: - Good Price
- Good Performance
- Ran Cool (for a while...)
- Looks Good

Cons: - Constant ATI Driver issues. Bad Company 2 ran perfectly smooth (around 30 FPS) with an 8600 GT 256mb card on low settings. Once I installed this card with a fresh install of windows 7 64bit and the newest ATI drivers my FPS in Bad Company became a slideshow. 5-10 FPS average. After TONS of tweaking I managed to get the game around the 30fps range at low settings - just like the 8600GT did prior. What a joke. After installing 10 different versions of the ATI Driver I found the "Sweet Spot." Version 10.10 (almost 2 years old) ran the best and gave me around 60FPS at low settings. Still terrible considering how much better this card should be compared to the 8600GT.

- Problems with other games such as BRINK. New drivers allow brink to run around 10-12 fps. Amazing performance! Not really. lol

- Fan died after 2 months of using it maybe 6 hours a day at 100% fan speed. Terrible.

Other Thoughts: Maybe I just got a lemon...but either way...bad drivers are bad. ATI needs to step up their driver game big time.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Sapphire and its support

Pros: all good reviews

Cons: bad support from Sapphire when it comes to RMA

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card a month ago and was having issues from the beginning. While I tried to fix it (from software perspective) myself, it already passed 30 day return period. When I contacted Sapphire and issued a ticket, they said they will make the RMA, but they wiped out my ticket and now I am explaining them the same from the beginning. Very bad company, I don't recommend buying anything from them!

5 out of 5 eggsAMAZING Card

Pros: Absolutely fantastic card. Stays cool, fan is surprisingly quiet under 60%, just becomes audible over 65%. Runs games such as BC2 flawlessly at 80fps. Got it for a great price too!

Cons: None! But it's a shame that it's out of stock.

Other Thoughts: BUY IT! If you can of course...

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value!

Pros: I bought these as soon as they hit the market. I had been shopping for replacements for my 4850's for about a month when I stumbled on these. I paid about $290 for 2, which was a steal. Now, they're even cheaper. I'm considering another one for my rig. My Vantage GPU score went from about 10,000 with the 4850's to about 20,000 on performance with the 5850's.

Cons: I've had a very hard time OC'ing these in xfire. I had the same issue with the 4850's as well. This is no big deal, as I did not buy them to do more than the factory settings.

Other Thoughts: I am currently running an old phenom 9950 BE. I've read and seen Vantage scores that show about a 20% increase in GPU scores and frame rates when using a Phenom 2 processor (but I believe that applies for any graphics card with these processors).

I use my PC for streaming HD movies and games over my projector and have had excellent luck with them. The 5xxx series cards have had plenty of time for AMD/ATI to get the drivers perfected, as opposed to the 6xxx series. That was one factor for leading me to these cards.

5 out of 5 eggsSapphire HD 5850 Xtreme 1GB

Pros: This card runs very cool, quiet, and it is shorter than my HD 4870 512MB it is replacing.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: I put this into a 4coredual-sata2 r2.0 BIOS 2.20A with an E6700 Wolfdale, 2X2GB of Twin-X DDR2-800, and 4 hard drives quad booting XP 32-bit, Vista 32-bit, 7 32-bit, and 7 64-bit. I removed my HD 4870 512MB and replaced it with this without uninstalling any drivers, and all Operating Systems found the correct drivers with exception to XP which I had to go get the HDMI audio drivers. After a reboot on all systems I had a fully functioning system without any black screens, blue screens, reboots, or any other anomalies. I played L4D2 for hours on Vista 32-bit and 7 64-bit without any issues. I played Burnout Paradise the Ultimate Box for 45 minutes on XP 32-bit also without a hiccup. The only system I did not game on is Windows 7 32-bit, but I do not expect any problems.
