5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: Runs Skyrim on Ultra well.

Cons: Doesn't run Skyrim very well on ultra when you load high resultion textures and other graphically intense mods.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card to play Skyrim. It played it perfectly fine on Ultra without any mods, which a 2GB card should do. When I started installing Skyrim mods for high resultion textures and other demanding VRAM mods, it started bogging down pretty fast. But it did the job I wanted it to do. Now that I am playing a modded Skyrim, I'm going to update this card to the newer 7970 Ghz Edition.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card!!

Pros: Fast Card!
Crossfire Capable!
Runs everything you throw at it!
Comes with plenty of accessories!

I have had 3 of these cards for almost 4 months now, and 2 of them together for an additional 5 months before that. They are just awesome cards! I was never able to unlock shaders on #3, but the first 2 was a snap to his 1536 shaders! Right now I'm running a low OC at 935mhz Core and 1325mhz Memory. I am playing FFXIV maxed out all graphics (AO Disabled) @ 30FPS due to my house not cooling well, and 60 FPS while possible, just puts the temps a little too high for me.

Never had any problems out of any of the fans, they are typically running around 4500+ when i'm gaming, and have never spun of their axis, made a metal grinding noise, or ticked, they are working 100% great

Cons: OC'ing on this card seems to be unreliable. When overclocked past 935 I get Artifacts bad, and when I use the shader unlock as well, it's even worse. Right now i'm steady with 1408 and 935, no artifacts. No fault on Sapphire at all, but I just wish for the money that these 3 in crossfire would've OC'ed better.

Other Thoughts: I am able to run any game right now. Will I upgrade for the 7000 series? Probably not. I think in tri-crossfire these can still blow the 7000 series out of the water in their own way and it's not worth my money right now to be looking into another investment. When the 8000 series comes out I'll look at upgrading, for now these are BEAST.

3 out of 5 eggsgood card, bad fan

Pros: Very fast card, smoothly runs any game maxed @1920x1080 (except crysis lol)

Cons: fan developed a metallic pinging noise, really noticeable below 3500RPM

Other Thoughts: Great card, but the fan issue seems like it is somewhat common in the newegg reviews. It makes me nervous that the fan will stop working sooner rather than later.
I'm not sure if going above 3500RPM makes the pinging noise stop, or if it becomes too loud for me to hear it.

2 out of 5 eggsJUNK FAN

Pros: Fast card and over clocks real well on second bios.

Cons: Horrible fan, it spins when it wants, it has a mind of its own and when it goes off axis it makes a horrible sound like a grinding transmission

Other Thoughts: Needs better fan mechanics. Horrible engineering on the fan.

3 out of 5 eggsGreat while it lasted

Pros: Unlocked perfectly fine. Was able to play BF3 Ultra @ 1920x1080 at about 50ish FPS. On high settings I got about 65ish FPS.

Cons: Just died on me after owning it for 7 months.

Other Thoughts: Never heard the fan really (normally at around 45% under load). Temps were 50 Celsius idle and almost 80 under load.

3 out of 5 eggsGraphics good, sounds horrible

Pros: This card unlocked and performs very well.

Cons: This card's fan is horrible and somehow goes off it's axis and starts making a ton of clicking noise. All of my other fans are very quiet and this one is jarring when it occurs which is frequently. Watching movies or trying to work quietly is now very frustrating. It will make a lot of noise, then stop, then repeat.

Other Thoughts: This is such a common problem, they should make these replaceable without voiding warranties.

5 out of 5 eggsGet one if you can buy one!

Pros: Stupidly simple to unlock to 6970. Mine did very easily. No stability issues. Very quiet even when gaming with Crysis at max settings. Nice package bundle. Card was well protected and comes with a lot of extras. Very happy I bought this card...totally spanks a stock 6970 when unlocked.

Cons: Can never seem to get one! In and out faster than a Bangkok hore...the site would not let me put the "w" on the front on that word :)

5 out of 5 eggsSick Card Literally

Pros: Best card I have ever owned hands down, unlocked no problem. Overclocked like a beast even after unlock.
No need to flash just flip the bios switch and you're done, Sapphire has done the work for you.
I will definitely be buying from Sapphire again, but from the looks of it not for a while, seriously this card kills games.

Cons: Can't think of one.

Other Thoughts: Fantastic card if you can get your hands on one. I got lucky, this card is hardly ever in stock.

4 out of 5 eggsDon't use 2 for crossfinity

Pros: Bought 2 for the extra power needed for eyefinity. and they are fast, fast, fast. If i run on max settings everything from BF3 to Crysis 2 will get constant 60FPS with a max usage at about 85% on each. (when using 1 monitor) If you're planning on buying 2 for crossfinity see cons.

Cons: Eyefinity hardly works when using 2... it causes massive microstutter that I have spent days trying to fix. never managed. I can either use 1 monitor with crossfire enabled and it works great. or I can use 1 card with eyefinity... not both if you use an fps counter it shows 60fps but because of the microstutter it appears to look like 20fps so it defeats the purpose. tried downloading different drivers and cap profiles, nothing fixed the crossfinity.

Other Thoughts: If I could do it all over again I would forget about eyefinity but still use the 2 cards on 1 monitor.
the crossfinity problem is why i took off an egg.
by the way i got 1 to unlock and the other did not.
