5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU

Pros: -Plays most games at 1080p at max settings (keep in mind I have an FX-6100 OC'd 4.1GHz). Ghost Recon Online, SWTOR, and ME3 all NO problem. FPS 35-100.
-Really cool temps even while being OC'd a lot through TriXX. I randomly minimize my games to check temps and the highest I've seen it is 85C while being OC'd. Idles ~27-37C depending on ambient temp.

Cons: -None so far and I've had this card for a couple months and it's been OC'd the whole time.
-This is a problem with the AMD drivers not GPU: Some games if AA (anti-aliasing) is turned on the game will pixelate/have random giant black pixels across the screen. To my knowledge just turn off AA.

Other Thoughts: -I have great airflow in my case which really helps keep the temps down low. Make sure you do the same and clean out the dust approximately once a month and the card will run great and last longer.
-I highly recommend this GPU as it is amazing for the price.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Deal!

Pros: Great card, easy install, 2x6 pin connectors, almost plug and play

Cons: Turned out the card was in N.J.! Took 4 days even when paid for 3 day; box looked like it was used for football; packing inside was wadded up wrapping paper.

Other Thoughts: After seeing the condition of the box and the inside packing I was a little worried about the card; but it seems to be OK for now. No eggs off for shipping

1 out of 5 eggsNot sure if reliable.

Pros: Initially, ran great. I upgraded from a dual HD 5770 (both SapphireTech) and compared to a single 6850 the difference is performance and sound was day and night.

It ran anything I threw at it without any sort of guff and the temperature never went about 40 Celsius.

Cons: This is where the review ends up like the day and night scenario.

After 3 days the first card (I went through two) began having serious artifact errors and splitting. I checked drivers and core temperatures and nothing was out of the ordinary, I chaulked it just being a defective card. It happens, no big deal.

Or so I thought. The second card worked fine for a little over a week this time before the same issues began, this time even more pronounced. It became completely unusable because in less than a minute of running anything that would put a load on the card it would just go, well, bananas.

Other Thoughts: I've been using SapphireTech for years, well over a decade. I still have an older ATI card from them back when Voodoo was a card manufacturer and the thing still runs, I'd probably still use it in less demanding workstations if it wasn't AGP.

I don't like to overclock, I prefer stability and longevity over squeezing out the last bit of toothpaste I can out of the tube and with SapphireTech I get that, or at least I did.

I'm not sure now, I was thrilled to try out their Vapor-X but now I just feel left at the altar.

I'm not sure about my future card purchases, but I lost some respect in SapphireTech today, and even less in their Vapor-X line.

5 out of 5 eggsX-firing

Pros: These cards are great for a budget build, and have nice specs they have the capability to run most games at high settings.

Cons: If you planned on buying two of these to crossfire instead of buying a higher end bored with 2g of vram on it i misunderstood that the ram wouldn't stack they just use the highest settings of one card. So this being stated... it is better to buy a 6970 card and spend right around the same amount of money and upgrade to xfire later

Other Thoughts: For this being my mistake i don't dock any eggs for it, for they are great cards and nice for budget builds.

5 out of 5 eggsIncredible upgrade

Pros: Upgraded to this from an old GeForce 9500 GT DDR2, so yes, BIG upgrade. Plays SWTOR and Starcraft II on highest settings no problem. (Starcraft II actually has all its settings set to Extreme as the default setting because of this card.) Easy installation, size surprised me a bit, as the 9500 is short, but Cyberpower designed their cases well enough for it to fit with room to spare. Furmark 1080 HD test puts it at 25 fps, and 720 gives it around 40 fps at stock settings. (775MHz GPU clock & 1GHz memory clock)

Cons: When I finished installing the drivers, 1800 x 1080 resolution put black lines on the edges of my moniter, but I think this is something with the settings, not the card.

Other Thoughts: I can't hear the fan at 100%, but that's probably because I have a large noise canceling headset on. Point being that it's not that loud. Found the overclocking controls very easily, but won't be touching them until I need to, which may not be in a while. I had an internal battle with myself as to whether I should get this card or wait for the Radeon HD 7770 coming out in a month. The cost of this card and the cost of the 7770 at launch are the same (if you get this for $150) and the 6850 supposedly performs slightly better.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card for the Price

Pros: Driver includes core and memory clock control, as well as manual fan control (see cons). Runs BF3 on High settings which surprised me a bit seeing as how my other rig with two 9800 gtx's in SLI runs BF3 on medium.
Got this card on sale at $145 and it was absolutely worth it for the performance you get.

Cons: Fan is a bit loud over %50, and you should definitely set it over %50 when you're gaming or anything. Needs better fan control too, so it ramps up based on temperature. You can only manually set it and then it won't change, or let it go automatic but then it only ramps up at temperatures I'm not comfortable with.
You can download a third party program to control the fan speed by temperature though, so that fixes this quickly (except for the sound).

Other Thoughts: We'll see how long this card keeps up with pc games that keep getting more and more graphic intensive.

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic Card

Pros: This card is very cheap, and it runs 99% of my games on max, only GTA IV cannot run maxed. I have not had any problems, fits perfectly in my Sentey Optimus Extreme Division Mid-Tower with room to spare. It also keeps very cool with the vapor-x cooling.

And I dont know what everyone else is saying, when I bought this they were having 2 promotions, so it came with a free copy of DiRT 3, and Deus Ex. Both were easily redeemed with steam.

NOTE: Thousands of DiRT 3 codes were stolen from AMD, so for them to make sure your code works you have to go to their site and send them the code, then they will verify it, and send you the steam code. took about a week, but works great.

This card also came with all cables advertised, and all ports work.

Cons: None whatsoever

Other Thoughts: Keep in mind that this runs almost ALL my games (I have just over 50 games, including Battlefield 3, Skyrim, and Need for Speed The Run), and my processor is not very good, its the AMD Athlon II x2 250, 3.0 GHz Dual Core.

Im getting the new FX Eight-Core and a new motherboard soon, but this is my system now:

Operating System:
MS Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit SP1
AMD Athlon II X2 250 25 °C
Regor 45nm Technology
8.00 GB Dual-Channel DDR3 @ 533MHz (7-7-7-20)
BIOSTAR Group A880G+ (CPU 1) 28 °C
Acer AL1717 (1280x1024@60Hz)
AMD Radeon HD 6800 Series (Sapphire/PCPartner) 40 °C
Hard Drives
977GB Western Digital WDC WD10EADS-00M2B0 ATA Device (SATA) 25 °C
117GB Hitachi Hitachi HTS541612J9SA00 ATA Device (SATA) 23 °C

5 out of 5 eggsforgot to mention, buy dual link dvi cables

Pros: supports 1-6 monitors

Cons: have not installed my 6850, so no cons yet

Other Thoughts: forgot to mention that you need to buy dual link dvi cables. dual link dvi cables are backwards compatible with single link dvi ports. i don't think you can use a single link dvi cable with dual link dvi port. if your monitor has a dvi cable fixed to it then it may be a single link dvi cable. If this is the case, and you are already using the single link dvi port for your other monitor, then maybe a hdmi to dvi single link adapter will work.

5 out of 5 eggsJust thought i'd share some info

Pros: supports 1-6 monitors

Cons: have not installed card yet, so no cons found so far lol.

Other Thoughts: to the people who are having issues, go here
it is a manual for this radeon series card (2 dvi (one single, one dual-link), 2 mini-DP, hdmi)
Skip to page 12-13 where the instructions show examples on how to set up multiple displays (1-6 monitors).
read this line: "Two connections between the single-link DVI-D, dual-link DVI-I, and HDMI connections."

This says you can't use all three at the same time. Dual link is supposed to be backwards compatible with single link dvi, so I think if you are having issues hooking up 2 displays to the 2 dvi ports you might have something plugged into the hdmi port. if this is not the case, try purchasing an hdmi to dvi adapter, and use 1 dvi port plus 1 hdmi port to power your 2 monitors. Also, if you are using a dvi to vga adapter, put this in the single link dvi port (the dvi port to the right of the vent, not the dvi port to the right of the hdmi port)
