4 out of 5 eggsWorking on Linux

Pros: Driving 3 DELL 24 inch flat panels for software development running kbuntu 12.04 LTS out of the box.

Cons: No cons here. Took some messing around with kbuntu settings to get the monitors in the right sequence.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat little card

Pros: Great card. It is pushing two 22" Dells at over DVI and 1 24" Dell 1080P LED via the HDMI to DVI adapter. So all three over DVI.

For fun I tried coutner strike global offensive. It ran very well at medium low settings on 1080P. I actually set the core to 700MHz and the memory to 850 and it runs fine. Temps are right around 60C with the built in heatsink

Anyway, this is not ment for gaming, but can be used for light gaming.

Great video card for my work machine and the three monitors.

Cons: None. Priced just right.

Other Thoughts: Newegg is the best. Quick Shipping. Very happy :)

4 out of 5 eggsWorks well on Linux Triple head

Pros: Cheapest way to get good triple head support in Linux. Can support three monitors out of the box unlike non-flex versions.

Cons: Not terribly powerful. What is with marketing a business class card by putting a tightly garbed cartoon girl with a gun on the box? It reminded me of what this card is not.

Other Thoughts: I'm running Ubuntu 12.10 with (3) 1920x1080 using the catalyst module/panel. Composite works, as well as (limited) 3D so Unity or Gnome shell should work. I have had no playback issues with video, or normal work activity. I haven't tried any games, but don't expect much on that front. It's pretty much a perfect triple head card for business/work.

4 out of 5 eggsok i guess

Pros: The card is very nice for the fact that it will run 3 displays with no problem.

Cons: The only complaint i have is that you need to get to dvi-d to vga adapters (http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16812119261) in order to run all 3 displays because the hdmi to dvi adapter is also a dvi-d port so you need 2 of those adapters in order to run the 3 displays.

Other Thoughts: it is a double slotted card so be warned. make sure you have 2 open slots.

5 out of 5 eggsCheap easy solution for 3 monitors

Pros: I bought this card as it was the cheapest solution to run my 3 monitor setup on 1 video card. I was not interested in running "eyefinity", just interested in having 3 separate monitors for my office PC. Currently only the FLEX models of eyefinity cards run 3 monitors without the use of a "Display Port". In order to get those other cards to run 3 monitors, it requires an active dongle which is an extra $30 expense.

Cons: Not good for gaming. The heatsink is fairly large on the card, so make sure the slot next to your PCIe x16 is open before purchasing.

4 out of 5 eggsEffecient Hardware Platform Possibly Crippled By Software

Pros: -Everything you are looking for in this GPU model range are its pros. It supports 3 monitors out of the box, includes HDMI, VGA and even an HDMI adapter to meet all of ones needs.

-The instrument draws so little power that the PCIE bus can supply its minuscule needs.

-A no fan cooling system using a passive heat-sink eliminates all noise, dust concerns and fear of fan failure. Why more low powered GPU's are not gifted with some type of passive cooling system is anyone's guess.

-The item is packed in the box and held tightly preventing any damage to it that could foreseeably occur under a normal circumstance.

-Can be recommendable for a 2D multi-monitor setup if you can live with the cons below.

Cons: Let's make one point clear at the get go. If you are thinking along the lines of the Radeon HD 6450 series being used for middle to high-end gaming, you are sadly mistaking. YOU need to be doing some research to solve those answers yourself.

Now, lets talk about what really kills this cards potential - drivers. Please understand, this is no way 'bashing', it is highlighting potential pitfalls so that interested parties can be informed accurately.
It is probable that AMD does have driver issues with this series of card, which may cause conditions of monitor flicker, temporary video loss on a single monitor and BSOD's referencing the 0x00000116 code. Well, lets here it for the author who got a bad card. Actually, if the reader will take the time and scour the internet for other examples they will find that AMD may be having a problem with this particular model of GPU after Catalyst version 12.1.

Other Thoughts: In my case, I had numerous instances of all the conditions above, all survivable for me except the BSOD. Totally uninstalling the Catalyst 12.4 driver suite and rolling back to 12.1 solved my BSOD problems and made the card acceptable for my use. The other problems listed above still do exist with 3 monitors, but are acceptable for the time being. The system has been stable with no BSOD for 3 weeks now. However, the system is not put in sleep mode, but turned off when not in use.
Take away what you wish from this, but since I am not afforded the room to type my troubleshooting methods, cited references, et cetera, you must take the incentive to do the research yourself.

So, the bottom line here is are you going to take a chance on driver improvement in the future, or are you going to take the plunge and the medicine that comes along with it.

2 out of 5 eggsFirst Failed Sapphire!!!

Pros: *Low Power
*Silent Operation - Obviously
*Heat Sink is really very effective at keeping the chip cool

Cons: *Failed after 10 days of usage
*Heat sink is rather large, so placement in a small HTPC may be difficult.

Other Thoughts: Used this video card for a customer build. I ran the PC daily for a week to ensure stability & performance. Ran beautifully for 3 days. My client killed the card by playing Oblivion on it with Max settings turned up. I used this card due to his stating he only wanted to watch movies & some video editing, no gaming. Otherwise I would have gone with a differnt card, one with a fan and better entry level gaming performance obviously. Client felt bad after I explained what he had done. So apparently if you stress this card out for two long it will die on you. Obviously these aren't as rugged as we would have hoped. :(

2 out of 5 eggsSapphire Flex HD 6450

Pros: Low Profile. Cheap three screen display. I only would use in HTPC

Cons: Very Low power. Yet to try to push three screens.

Other Thoughts: Save your money for a higher Flex Video card.

** Note: I did all this testing with the card before Windows 8 came out video drivers may have been updated. But with two screen 1080p Mouse would jump.

When I try Three Screens I will let you know

1 out of 5 eggsMaybe its a good thing

Pros: Cheap 3 monitor eyefinity without the need for special adapters

Cons: could not get it to display a video signal. All I got was input not supported. I tried four different monitors and different ports. I re-installed the drivers and reset my bios to no avail.

Other Thoughts: maybe my card was just defective. give it a try if your in need of a cheap path to eyefinity.
