5 out of 5 eggsLucky Card?

Pros: I got one of these, and it overclocked like crazy. With the stock(still good sapphire 3 8mm heatpipe) cooler idled at 31 loaded at 56C on stock clocks. Overclocked to 1020 core at stock volts, and reached 1060 core rock solid at 1.244 volts. I didn't really touch the memory clocks because I had the 2GB model.(and it tended to not overclock hardly at all on the memory) If you read about these cards, 1020 at stock volts on air is epic. At 1.3v(max) it would run benchmarks at 1075 core clock still stock cooler, 76C at 100% fan speed. I didn't want to push the card to this outer extreme all the time without watercooling so I gamed at 1060 core. This card probably would have been amazing with water cooling.

I sold it online, where some other lucky top bidder may discover that for some strange reason, nothing bad at all seems to happen when you push the core clock from the stock 800 all the way up past 1000.

Cons: One of my friends had the same card and it only got to 960 core on stock volts, and up to 1015 at 1.2v. No additional gain from more voltage, and it ran a few degrees warmer at idle and load. Even after re-mounting the heatsink this one ran a bit warmer than the first one that overclocked so much better.

Other Thoughts: Extremely good value when overclocked, assuming I didn't just get extremely lucky. Performance seems to go up pretty drastically once you pass 1010~ mhz core in skyrim with maxed settings. The stock cooler on here is actually pretty good, but unfortunately loud.
