5 out of 5 eggsGTX 550

Pros: THIS IS A GREAT CARD! glad you bought it !!!!!

Cons: To the reviewer who had his GTX 550 die after 6 months, did you know those cards have a warranty and you wasted your money. You could have had and still can have a new or refurbished GTX 550 IF YOU HAVE THE RECEIPT! DUH. Are you shure ur tech knowledge is that high?

4 out of 5 eggsGood Video Card

Pros: Love this card so far, Been getting zero lag on everything I run combined with my i7 processor and 16gb of ram. Keeps cool.

Cons: I really wish this had 2 DVI hookups. Still having problems hooking up my second monitor with the HDMI cable, mostly because I cant find a working HDMI to VGA hookup.

Other Thoughts: hope this breast holds me for a good 5 years

Pros: Card came in and wouldn't properly work with my build. I dunno what went on there, but I RMA'd the card and was refunded the money. Purchased a 6850 1G GDDR5 that can perform well for what I need and is cheaper than the 7950 by double.

Cons: Requires 2 PSU power connectors. Big card. Make sure you're buying it for a full tower case.

Other Thoughts: Would have loved for this card to work, especially for the price.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Running stable at a 1000mhz core clock, never gets above low 60's, and this is in a case setup for silence and cleanliness, not high ventilation. And on that note, I have not heard the card at all, as the auto fan controls haven't pushed them above 45%. Easily handles everything so far at 1920x1080, and should get good performance if I ever get one of those awesome 2560x monitors too.

Cons: Runs sort of hot idle, I guess? Getting high 30's to low 40's depending on the room temperature. Coming from a 4870 though, those would idle at what this hits under load.

Other Thoughts: This model is defunct now, Sapphire just released the same thing with the AMD Boost bios installed, and it's selling for cheaper too. Doesn't bother me, since I'm OCing higher than the boost bios, but I suppose that's good for people that don't want to. There's no reason to run this card at the measly 810 it originally shipped at.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Graphics

Pros: This card is a beast, chews up everything I feed it so far on MAX. It has some really nice overclock head room too for anyone looking to get extra performance. Never goes over about 45 C

Cons: It's a little long and had to work it into my case.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: Great card for the price. I've been running Planetside 2 these last couple days on high settings and never drop below 60 frames even in the most hectic of battles. (This game is still in Beta and not yet optimized 20/Sept/12). I'm dying to run Sleeping Dogs soon which came with the card as a promo offer. Loving it so far.

Also doesn't heat up to terribly.

Cons: None that I can think of.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: Excellent performance, excellent price. Chews through frames like a beast while being whisper silent. Perfect for any gamer.

Cons: None!

Other Thoughts: I came from a loud, hot, 4870X2 and this just floors me in terms of speed and silence. Excellent.

4 out of 5 eggsTired of rebate games

Pros: Nice variety of connections, ATI catalyst center is awesome, great specs on 7970 cards, apparently nice design. Cables are nice..They should supply a 6 pin to double 6 pin adapter in lieu of the molex adapters.

Cons: Rebate process costs everyone time, money, and aggravation...I'm tired of manufacturers playing rebate games, just give an instant rebate at purchase. They tell you to wait 1-2 weeks for receipt of stupid paperwork and then want to charge you $2 if you don't want to wait another 8 weeks...This is garbage! And, we end up paying for all this overhead in the product cost...Either wise up or lose my business as I'm done with this costly process. This is the reason for 1 star...I should take two.

Other Thoughts: The card is a bit longer than anticipated, ensure you have enough unencumbered room for the 24 pin power supply mobo connector and dual 6 pin connectors required for this card.

My i5 3rd gen chip is now the limiting is great with lots of growth potential.

Ensure your monitor/TV can handle 1080i @ 60Hz if you expect to use this over 1080p, otherwise the monitor/TV will drop to 30 Hz (fps) at 1080i making for jittery results.

5 out of 5 eggsWorking great after 6 months

Pros: Eyefinity, three screens at 1920x1080 with no lag. quiet! Even at load I sometimes forget my pc is on.

Cons: Plastic cover for heat sinks was a little scuffed up but I figured urge card worked how would I even notice to care.

Other Thoughts: 3gb of ram. Play tf2 at 150 to 300fps. swtor has no lag. Both games on max settings. Both running 5770ishx1080. Beautiful! Get the sapphire eyefinity adapter for your third monitor, it works and for 30$ is a good price

5 out of 5 eggsprevious review seemed VERY unfair

Pros: previous review gave the card 1 egg.... and i cant figure out why since the review seems completely unfair.

The reviewer talks about wasting 2100 on the card but the card only costs 400 (on sale for less). Therefore one has to assume there are other new components involved. From researching the "green screen" issue that is mentioned there is several discussed issues that could result in the green screen effect. Everything from a bad monitor, a monitor that needs de-gausing, bad connecting wire, dirty or broken connecting wire, not updated drivers, underpowered power supply powering the graphics card, overheated video card due to overclocking..... etc etc etc.... most of the listed issues have very little to do with the graphics card itself.

It seems the previous reviewer is over emotional and under knowledgable.

Cons: unfair reviews of products
