5 out of 5 eggsgood and powerful card

Pros: The card its self is nice and beefy, with the factory OC a nice compliment, also whats an AMD card with out OC i got mine to 1045/1400@1.200 stable. it runs pretty cool peaking close to 60c but not reaching it do to custom fan control. I'm also running 1 1980x1080 and a 1600x900 i could go for eyefinity but my desks lacks space lol. major improvement from 550ti. good for some photoshop here and there and some 3d rendering but that is more cpu based

Cons: the fans do run somewhat louder that expected
minor complications with switching from NVIDIA (previous 550ti)drivers to CC

Other Thoughts: i could have lowered the rpm with trixx gpu overclocker but 60c is about how hot i feel it should be considering i live in vegas and upstairs gets about 81F in the summer, idling at 44c.
i got it with TR and bioshock both have smooth and good fps, even in TR with tressfx i maintain around 40ish fps other settings on ultimate *note i am running:

FX-6300@ 4.5 cooler master 212plus push pull, idle 29c 45c load
msi 970x
12gb ram OC@ 2250mhz
rosewill hive 750w
x1 ssd and x1 hdd
in a rosewill blackhawk mid case with Windows 7 home premium.

5 out of 5 eggsEasy to overclock, great power!

Pros: This has got to be one of the greatest purchases I have ever made on Newegg! I mean really! First off, I purchased this card in December, and it has yet to fail me once. Some of the many upsides are: it has already good stock clock speeds, and when you overclock it, the two massive GPU fans do an awesome job! I currently have both sliders on the AMD-Vision settings for clock speeds maxed out and I never get above 45C even under load! With such great software, and one of the best deals for it's price (which will be going down soon since the 7870 has dropped in price) I definitely recommend buying this beast of a card!

Cons: Unfortunately with the awesome dual-fan cooling on this it doesn't get hot enough to make waffles.

Other Thoughts: My specs:
AMD FX-8350 Vishera 4.0GHz
Sapphire HD 7850 2GB OC Edition (overdrive set to 1000 @ GPU and 1365 @ memory)
G.SKILL Sniper Series 8GB 1866 (PC3 14900)
MSI 970A-G43 AM3+

5 out of 5 eggsStill Rockin

Pros: Awesome all around card, wish i had 2. 3 weeks and 2 days and this card is stick rockin at 1ghz clock speed and 1350Mhz mem clock, after adjusting some bios settings i am getting 3DMark11 scores of 7090 consistently(could only imagine if Xfire). For those having problems with your clocks holding, have you tried to up your voltage % in the performance tab of the catalyst drivers, its below the clock speed and fan speed, i have mine set at +30% no problems, but i have tons of cooling and temps have not got Over 168F in any test, (replaced a bad side fan). Again i wish i had 2 of these bad boys.

Cons: no cons that i can think of at all, it takes everything i have thrown at it at best settings, games from diablo 2 (DX8), lol all the way up to the new Tomb Raider(DX11), haven't tried Crysis 3 Yet, to many other games to play with crisp graphics. But i do have a lot of DX9 games others have talked about and I still have had no issues. The firefox thing another mentioned is there but i do think it is the coding with firefox not the graphics card

Other Thoughts: CPU/ I7-980 Running at 4.22 Ghz, QPI=7.79Ghz Cooled by Corsair H70
MoBo/ Intel Extreme Edition DX58OG
Memory/ Corsair Dominator 3x 2GB XMP1600 Running at 1623 Mhz, 8-8-8-20-1T, Frequency of 3895Mhz NB Bandwidth
Graphics/ Sapphire Radeon HD 7850 2GB 256-bit running at 1Ghz core clock 1350Mhz Memory Clock 13.3 Drivers
Power Supply/ Thermaltake TR2 TRX-650M 650W ATX 12V v2.3

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: I got it cheap ($75 after rebates/steam deal/sale)
2GB of Vram
Can overclock to a 7950/7990 stock speeds
Fans are WHISPER quiet, at 100% fan speed it was about as loud as my GTX 260 EVGA was at 50%. At 30-40% my case fans are louder than the 7850 2GB.

Cons: The powerplay feature is HORRIBLE but that is mainly AMD's fault. Doesn't come with two DVI ports (missed that part)
Vram cooling COULD be a tad better but this is nit picking now :)
Don't expect much help from AMD forums....they're lousy but Sapphire is very good.

Other Thoughts: Because of powerplay this card will CONSTANTLY underclock/overclock during gameplay, and if you play WoW or Minecraft this will cause FPS problems. Download MSI AfterBurner, enable overclocking, then overclock by just 1mhz....it will force the card to run 100% speeds and disable the power saving feature which as of 13.4 CCC is still broken.

I setup two profiles, one profile I set for 150mhz/150mhz and lowered my voltage (for web browsing and videos) for power saving, my second profile is 921mhz/1250mhz so I can play Minecraft without spikes. Anyone having issues with WoW need to try this...it will make a difference.

Room Temp 75F
Power Saving mode temps = 30c idle
Stock Speeds +1mhz mode = 33c idle 40c load

1 out of 5 eggsWORST CARD EVER

Pros: when it worked this card was fast, but I have had nothing but problems since I have received it.

Cons: ***If you play wow dont buy this card**** you have to run direct x9 instead of 11 and you experience constant lag spikes. Problems with this card are extensive and it has since cause my computer to stop working. I will never buy another Raedon card again.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU, Not really good for OC

Pros: The GPU runs every game i have (Tomb Raider 2013, Dead Space 3, Battlefield 3, Dead Island: Riptide, NBA 2k13 ETC.) on MAX graphics without a problem, its sleek and quite and hardly notice its there, it keeps cool around 30-40 degrees (thats partly because all the cooling in my case) so overall its a fantastic card and worth the price.

Cons: the only "Cons" i had with this GPU was overclocking, the GPU works perfectly fine until i put it over 950mhz core and 1300mhz memory, it would "Crash" every game i would try to play, so this card is fantastic at its base clock speeds and recommend to leave it at such.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: price, performance, runs EXTREMELY cool (like 30-40 degrees under load, gpu's can hit around 80 just incase you don't know), overclock.

Cons: No back panel -I guess this is really just a personal gripe I had, but I have a case with a side panel window and I don't like seeing the ugly blue silicon, it makes the card look... antiquated? But yeah that's just a pet peeve I suppose I have.

Other Thoughts: Best price/performance card on the market right now.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat

Pros: Great card with a lot of overclocking potential. Plays every game I have thrown at it, not that I am playing Crysis 3 or anything like that.

Cons: Firefox with accelerated video on causes some artifacting. Not sure what is causing it, but it seems common with the 7850 and Firefox so it must be something in the code.

Other Thoughts: Good card for a decent price. Highly recommend it for anyone looking for a budget card that will play anything they need to play.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card for the price

Pros: Shorter than my old asus 5870's, runs every game out there at max settings (Even Skyrim with Texture pack), requires only 1 plug instead of 2 for power, runs cool and quiet, 127'f under full load, 86'f sitting still, and whomever said it would not clock over 920 mhz needs to do some research, got this thing running at 1ghz clock and 1350 mhz mem clock stable no tearing, though temps shot up to around 180'f. This card is good enough to not need an overclock anyways, I just wanted to see what the stable sealing on it was. Current 13.1 Catalyst drivers work just fine, no complaints just yet but haven't been running it long, will give another update after a month.

Cons: best 3d mark 11 score i got was 6797, and that was at the really high clock speeds, factory it runs 6653 on 3d mark 11 so the over clock did not do much anyways. My single asus eah5870 was getting scores of 5953 and when i had 2 in crossfire the scores were around 12k, but my 2nd card died 6 months ago so its been a while, so this card compared to a 3 1/2 year old card wasn't much, benchmark wise

Other Thoughts: overall, benchmarks aside this is a much better card than my 5870, better tech, more memory and much more under the hood than the benchmarks show, Max Payne 3 i could not run at full settings, not enough memory 2.4gb required, but this 1 card will run it at fill settings with headroom on the memory can't say way, better chip tech i suppose, and compared with a friends Sapphire 7870 framerates were about the same on all new game releases.
