Great...Sometimes
- Pros: It looks great when everything is running on full settings and all, and it runs cool as well.
- Cons: It's a big card, you'll definitely need a pretty big case for it. I contacted Diamond and the got back to me right away, but the advice they gave wasn't helpful. I'm not sure if It's the graphics card or my mobo, but whenever playing a game (any game) the screen will go blank or freeze and the sound will loop through a .5 second cycle.
- Other Thoughts: I would get this card again, providing I can figure out how to stop the freezing, which I hope Diamond can help me out with ^.^
A waste
- Pros: This is an excellent performing card, suitable for relatively high end graphics, audio, or CAD station use. It has a high bang for the buck ratio and appears to be a good choice where the budget won't extend to a true workstation card.
- Cons: Here's the waste; it's not a bad product but Diamond customer service is totally useless. Has anyone very managed to get a response out of them? My experience is that they don't answer e-mail, don't even read trouble tickets, and the online chat has actually never been online.
- Other Thoughts: Buy this if you want a reasonable adapter for the money but be prepared to take care of any issues yourself, because you're all alone in Diamondland.
Great card (if you have amd)
- Pros: This is a great card and will make your gaming dreams come true. The game will look as crisp as possible and blu-ray movies on your PC look like a deluxe home theater system.
- Cons: I noticed something funny when I bought 1 of these for a computer I was building for a friend. I decided to buy a Intel motherboard with an i7 CPU. The overall feeling was like you changed your TV connection from HDMI to S-Video. Everything ran fast but the screen became darker and a little less crisp. I decided to get another card and use the speed of this one with the graphics of another and that seemed to work fine.
- Other Thoughts: Remember AMD owns ATI so they might have made it more compatible with their processors. But I would try a lower grade model or a different brand if you are using an intel processor. But if you have AMD trust me this will give you the best graphics and speed out there.
