5 out of 5 eggsA very good card

Pros: Good price and still powerful. Temps idle around 40-48, even when playing games card doesn't get over 70c. Love the blower fan, all the heat goes out the back instead of in the case. Can't wait till bf3 is done downloading to see what it can do. Get 70 fps in dirt3. Settings on high. 4x AA. 5 year warranty

Cons: Fan profile is set to low. Get afterburner to set a good fan profile.

Other Thoughts: Amd phenom ll 945 running@ 3.0ghz
Radeon 6870 1gb
4gb ram
Win 7 64bit

5 out of 5 eggsBest 6870 card I found works w/3monitors

Pros: Great value, actually works with no issues w/3 monitors, even w/active dport adapter, comes out of sleep with no issues. No artifacts, no driver crash/recover etc. I went through 3 other 6870 cards from 2 other brands and all had issues either w/artifacts or w/the driver. Tried on 2 different PCs, one with a 1KW PS that had been running dual 4870x2 cards (so the PS was not an issue).

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: It's refreshing when a product just works and you don't have to struggle to figure out issues on the web, flash bioses, drivers, etc. Just plug and play. That's how it's supposed to be.

5 out of 5 eggsBitcoin Mining Rig

Pros: I am running a bitcoin mining rig using this card (bought at a local store because I didn't want to wait for shipping) and I have to say this is a great bang for buck mining card.

Also I would like to say I have never seen a card run so cool before! I overclocked my core to 1050 with a slight voltage increase for stability and down clocked my memory down to 525 and it is running at 100% load at just over 300 Mhash/s at 33 C. And that is running the fan at 25%. Now I'm not the biggest expert in the world and I know downclocking the memory helps temps but it still seems extremely good for this card.

Anyway this is a great mining card and it is pretty cheap.

Cons: No Cons.

Other Thoughts: None

5 out of 5 eggsHad it a week now. Still Works!

Pros: this card came with Dirt 3 and worked like a charm! gettin great fps. plays dirt 3 so far with the graphics jacked alllll the way up! havent got to play bf3 yet!! but soon. was gonna just get another in crossfire. if this keeps runnin as well as it has been ill be gettin anotherone for crossfire. but i got a 990fx motherboard so i can overclock and i read alot about this card overclocking to 1000 gpu and 1250 memory and i have not got this over 950 gpu clock and 1100 memory. that is NOT good overclocking margines! if the gpu would go from 900 to 1000 it would be fine if it was stable there like my old asus 5850 was. that would overclock better then most cards out nowdays! is graphics goin downhiill or up? lol my buddy has a 6950 and they are not worth the money. all the money he put into it and past the warranty so he is stuck with a card that is very unstable and turns the screen colors and once in a while it freezes up. i would go for two 5850's first

Cons: ok... dont like to overclock much! my old 5850 by asus was wayy better when it comes to overclocking! this is a good card if you dont overclock. when i first got it installed it would boot and after the windows logo it would turn PINK!!! and then log in and on the welcome screen it has lines across that flicker just at startup welcome screen tho. i still havent decided if i got a faulty card or not. ill keep it for another week or two and see if i keep haveing problems with overclocking and stability. now this card does get HOT compared to my old asus 5850 so i dont know if this is faulty or not. i thought all the problems were cus of the drivers and bios so i updated the bios to the newest and reinstalled windows and all new drivers for my mb and vga card. and of course everything else thats needed. i dont like all that junk you have to put on your computer just to play dirt 3. alot of junk comes with it that you NEED to play dirt 3!

Other Thoughts: ill keep with it for a bit and try different drivers and see if anything changes. otherwise ill rma for a new one. i dont like it that diamond dont seem to have their own overclocking tools for their cards! i have to use MSI afterburner just to be able to adjust my fan to the more heat the higher the fan rpm's so yeah kinda dumb amd ccc does NOT have a very good fan control. its either auto which runs your card HOT the WHOLE time or you need to put it at an exact % and if your card is gettin hotter then you have to manually have ur fan set at ONE settin at a time. i dont want my fan at 100% all the time! i just want my fan to raise as the temps raise NOT set to one setting! just seems my old graphics cards have always been way more stable then any new ones now days. i like the hightech stuff but its never stable or fully functional till its outdated then they got new stuff to start all over again.

5 out of 5 eggsdoes great

Pros: runs just as good as my other 6870 which i gave to a friend. definitely an upgrade from even a crossfired pair of 4850's much less heat and power consumption than a pair of older cards.

Cons: is definitely loud at 100% fan speed but come on this thing maxes out at 60-70c in furmark with about a 15%oc with the automatic fan speed. at max fan i couldnt get this to break the 50c barrier

Other Thoughts: perfectly matches my red and black build :D
