1 out of 5 eggsPass

Pros: Nothing

Cons: Ordered 3, 1 causes bug check exceptions (blue screens), another had lines and artifacts on the screen. The 3rd I didn't even open, returning all of them.

Other Thoughts: The video card that caused blue screens was extremely hot, wondering if the lack of a fan is the problem here. Any how, 2 out of 3 (3rd untested) with problems isn't good.

4 out of 5 eggsGood card for the price!

Pros: Cheap, fast enough for someone who is on a tight budget. Also, if you have an AMD A6 processor, this works great with the integrated GPU on the processor.

Cons: The PCB and heatsink aren't red, at least for me. This doesn't effect performance, obviously, but I would like to receive a product exactly as advertised.

3 out of 5 eggsLame

Pros: It works and allows me to have three monitors with a 7660D on XP32. I got this to replace an unfortunately broken video card that was purchased for this very purpose.

Idles at 33C with a 70mm fan. Probably due to the fact that it idles at 150MHz. That's fancy.

Cons: Every reason I got this one in particular didn't happen.

It's not red. It's blue PCB with silver anodized aluminum heatsink. The fins of said heatsink are very tight, so you'll need to be really resourceful or creative to mount a fan. And said fan has to plug into the motherboard, unless you happen to have something that can plug into the brutally tiny fan plug on the card. Much smaller than the typical VGA fan header.

I got this particular version because I couldn't afford better and I hoped I could custom cool it thanks to its flatter layout. Well forget that. The capacitors and VGA header are much closer than they look. Any heatsink you add on needs to have a foot print of no larger than the original mounting pitch.

Oh, and good luck figuring out the RAMDAC layout. VGA+HDMI works, per the usual non-sense arrangement, but I have no idea what the DVI is hooked to because I never got it to output. Maybe it's not really DVI-D? Get the FLEX version if you really need to bank on running two monitors.

So yeah, not that there's a cheap way to do it, this is a ludicrously expensive option for adding monitors.

Other Thoughts: AMD really needs to rename the files for their legacy driver sets. I shouldn't have to buy junk like this.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent HTPC GPU

Pros: Bought this for my HTPC... works beautifully! No muss no fuss install... install, install the drivers, update and you are good.

Cons: None so far.

Other Thoughts: This is not a gaming GPU... I think it struggles with Solitaire, but as a streamer it works very, very well.

I did get my rebate from Diamond.

4 out of 5 eggsGood Card for Low Cost Gaming

Pros: Worked good for low end games... Maxed out Minecraft, but with a really fancy CPU, don't know if that helped... Couldn't run COD BO1.

Silent - duh no fan

Easy installation

Cons: Had trouble getting drivers off of AMD site, it wasn't detected by the hardware detection software, but windows was able to find it and now it's fine!

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent choice for HTPC

Pros: Use it in my HTPC, does the job right, while playing 1080p almost doesn't use CPU. Silent. Can do simple gaming - don't expect hard core gaming, this card wasn't made for it..
Has low profile bracket.

Cons: not free

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: For the price it is a great card, I'm able to run dual monitors one at 1080p and the other at 1600x1200 just fine. Runs smaller games like minecraft perfectly well but has trouble with newer more power hungry games.

Cons: Having no fan makes it run quite hot

Other Thoughts: Other than the heat its a great card for less powerful computers to play games on.

2 out of 5 eggsAverage Card - at best !!

Pros: No Pros

Cons: These folks don't make rebates easy - thank heavens I'm retired and have lots of time . .

Other Thoughts: With all the newest drivers loaded, Windows 7 rates this card as a 1.0 (on a scale of 1.0 - 8.0) which is as bad as it ges. Then I loaded a half Gigabyte worth software (Catalyst Control Center) and maxed out at a 4.5 rating.
