2 out of 5 eggsWorst. Card. Ever.

Pros: They were not DOA and they haven't caught fire... yet.

Cons: Hot! Hot! Hot! Did I mention these run too hot?
Poor cooler design.

Other Thoughts: I took a chance and purchased 2 of these knowing Diamond hasn't had a great presence in the consumer arena lately. In the past I've purchased dozens of Diamond products and felt if was a safe bet. Boy was I wrong!
The first card is mediocre (at best) and the second card is worthless - judging from what I've read of Diamond's support I'll be contacting NewEgg to see if there is any hope of a replacement or return.

Card one - the fan jumps to 100% (and stays there) as soon as the card does any work. While the temperature can be somewhat regulated it is a fine line. Cross the line and boom you're headed toward 90C.

Card two - If this card even gets a glimpse of an electrical outlet it goes into thermal runaway. The temps keep climbing and no amount of cooling, other than a dedicated air conditioner, is going to accomplish the goal of normal operating temps.

On the 5th Thursday of each month if there is a full moon - and you sprinkle pixie dust and ground unicorn horn - you can get this card to run at 450K hashes... at 83C!

1 out of 5 eggsDO NOT BUY IF YOU PLAN ON MINING!!

Pros: 4k, powerful card

Cons: This card has an AWFUL cooler. If you try to run it at 100% without over clocking it will overheat constantly even with its massive and loud cooler. This card is unusually large and barley fits in my full sized case.

Other Thoughts: I have no idea what diamond did wrong with the cooler but it is the worst cooled card I have ever seen

5 out of 5 eggsGreat for Mining

Pros: To start - I normally do not write reviews.
I took a chance with this card and it paid off.
I am not sure what everyone else on here is saying but this card is great for mining. I am currently getting over 730Kh @ 68-69c

Cons: None so far - It is Huge - had to cut a 2inch section out of my antec 300 case to fit the card

2 out of 5 eggsOk for mining but...

Pros: Relatively cheaper than others. Out of the box these will run in the 500 KH/s range.

Cons: Not a good card from a hash rate / watt ratio and they run really hot. Do not plan on using multiple in a rig without risers and "other" helpful configurations.

Other Thoughts: I replaced the thermal grease on one that would always seem to hit 90 degrees Celsius.

3 out of 5 eggsNot HIS

Pros: Hot

Cons: Hot.
HIS uses same heatsink and fan, so what?

Other Thoughts: HIS's two 280X boards at 850 core clock are
not the same and have many basic differences.
They do share a common board manufacturer with
Diamond's 280X:
LIN HORN TECHNOLOGY CO LTD -- E169465
6 CHUNG SHAN RD
MIN HSIUNG INDUSTRIAL PARK
CHIA YI HSIEN, 621 TAIWAN

4 out of 5 eggsDecent card

Pros: HIS designed this card clearly, the HSF appears to be identical. For the last-gen Radeon 79XX series, I know the HIS HSF was one of the best.

After a little tuning and a lot of research, I flashed this with the correct HIS bios from "The Stilt", which allows one to change voltage with their HIS iTurbo utility as well as have VRM overheat protection. Lowering the VDDC and MVDDC, I am able to get 690Kh/s @ 70°C core, 70-73°C VRM @ 70% fan speed. Once I got these figures, I stopped tuning. I bet I could push it to low 700s with optimized bin and more tuning, but at the moment it runs stable. I can game, run multiple monitors running 1080p compressed video, etc.

Cons: My first card was DoA basically, it would hit 100 Celcius on GPU core and VRM regardless of how much airflow I gave the PC.

The RMA process took quite some time due to polar vortex and holiday season rush. In hindsight, I should have called newegg and requested a manager do a fast RMA (where they charge your card the amount of the item, ship it out, then refund you).

Also, it appears Diamond has changed the warranty policy. In 2013 they ended the 5yr warranty, now it is 1yr or 2yr with registration. Newegg should update this in their specifications.

Other Thoughts: Decent card. HIS cooler is probably the best two fan HSF design out there, but not quite as good as the three-fan HSF on a Sapphire Toxic.

1 out of 5 eggsAll Diamond products

Pros: none

Cons: if your try to get a rma you have to jump thru hoops. then when you finally get one & send your product in they mess it up & deny if saying it was altered. DO NOT BUY THERE PRODUCTS

Other Thoughts: THEY SUCK

4 out of 5 eggsWorking well for gaming/mining

Pros: -Getting 705 Kh/s on each card--- Better than some brands apparently clocking in under the 700 mark. On a 280x 700 is a must, so this card achieves that with some tweaking in cgminer

- Works well to game on primary while mining with secondary card, or mining with both while not gaming

- Smooth FPS on BF4, Far Cry 3 etc. No driver problems at all on 13.12

- Looks great, feels very solid build quality

Cons: -Getting 705 Kh/s on each card--- most people I know personally with 280x's are pulling 740 Kh/s on each 280x, so 705 seems slightly underwhelming by comparison

- Even in my GIANT Rosewill THOR case, max case fans, and max GPU fan, the temp of the top card still locks in at 87*C. 80%+ GPU fan on these cards is quite loud,Below 80% the top card breaks 90*C which is too hot for my comfort level. Im sure in an open air care the cards would fare much better (the bottom card in this rig stays at 71*C while Mining)

- Apparently this card is made by HIS but marketed under Diamond. If you look closely at the fan shroud you will see they are actually identical. Finding optimized cgminer settings for the Diamond is nearly impossible. a VBIOS dump actually shows the VBIOS is for the HIS card, so they must be identical...

Other Thoughts: I was able to get these cards here on newegg 2 for $720 and it came with 2 copies of BF4. Great at that price and would highly recommend if you can find them around $350 like I did.

If you are buying a card for mining and can't find a 280x for ~350, you are better off with two R9 270's instead.

4 out of 5 eggsLarge Graphics Card

Pros: Plays any Game including Bf4 at a very high FPS Rate, and is not as loud as some have reported.

Cons: Make Sure you have enough room in your case, this card is HUGE compared to some of the older cards you might be replacing.

Other Thoughts: Also you want to make sure you have at a minimum 750Watt PSU, I bought a new 1K watt PSU and have absolutely Zero issues!
