1 out of 5 eggswhat a nightmare

Pros: beautiful graphics and speed until they malfunction.

Cons: same thing as many other people here. cards go bad and start artifacting, and flickering screens, lockups, reboots. it's a shame there is a fundamental problem with the whole 7900 series. check the message board at asus website and filter it for 7900 series... I wish I did before buying!

Other Thoughts: I bought two of these right out of the gate to run in SLI. that was awesome! for one day. then the first card failed and I RMA'd it. Ran on just one card for about 4 months and now it's starting to show artifacts in games like FEAR, Oblivion, even strategy games like Galactic Conquest II. I have mega cooling in my case and top of the line power supply. these cards have issues, manufacturers won't admit it. I'm done with them.

2 out of 5 eggsSpoke to soon

Pros: Card ran great for five months.

Cons: It died after five months. Maybe I sould not have just bought another one. I would have to say. Stay away from this card. It might be a ASUS problem. Let's see how long the new one lasts.

5 out of 5 eggsNo problem here!

Pros: The card runs pretty cool (I have 8 case fans) and it is pretty quite (my computer is very quite). I would recommend it to anyone. This 7900GT is just a downclocked 7900GTX, though substanstially faster than most GT's. Mine is overclocked to Core:550 Mem:1800. That is the same core speed as the 7800GTX/7950GT and memory faster then both. It is running the same memory speed as the 7900GTX. No complaints, just another thing to harp about when talking about my extremely fast PC.

Cons: Can't find any.... AT ALL!

5 out of 5 eggsCan't agree with the negativity

Pros: Extremely fast graphic processing power! Oblivion, FEAR, COD2...they all run flawlessly. System never goes above 49C.

Cons: I don't understand the question...

Other Thoughts: Could be the mobo config everyone else has going...I don't know, just a guess really. I'm running mine on an A8N32-SLi Asus mobo w/ an X2 4400 and problems are all but non-existent. Maybe it's because my components are built buy the same manufacturer. Anyway, if you own an Asus mobo, definitely consider this card (or two!) as the backbone of your gaming system. I only say that because the 512mb card by Asus is nearly $xxx more expensive...it makes sense to just buy two of these.

1 out of 5 eggsComplete Garbage

Pros: It has a the picture of King Kong on the fan.

Cons: Totally worthless. What everyone else is saying is true. The card suffers from a hardware malfunction where you will, at random times, get artifacting on the display and then the blinking-screen of death. nVidia dropped the ball on this one- stay away.

Other Thoughts: For those that wish to find out if their 7900GT is bad, simply do a full test on 3DMark. The constant switching in and out of the tests should eventually trigger the artifacting and then cause the blinking screen.

1 out of 5 eggsProblems again...

Pros: Works OK when it isn't being RMA'd.

Cons: I have RMA'd this card twice now. First for severe artifacting in 3dMARK 03,05,06 and FEAR. Now this card has appeared to have overheated and shot itself to hell. Do not buy this card, it is an extreme hassle and only works half the time.

Other Thoughts: I realize that some people are having luck with this card, but I think that for the most part ASUS just has an extreme dud on their hands.
