CrossFire ready, this card begs for you to add its twin for even greater "pwning" opportunities. It has a PCI-e x16 connection for maximum data transfer from the system. 2 out of 5 eggsHeads Up

Pros: Purchased to run MS FS X as part of an upgrade. Excellent performance.

Cons: "No DVI-D signal" one month short of a year. Ordered a backup 1650 Pro to cover RMA time with ASUS. Booted first time; uninstalled and installed current ATI Catalyst driver. Failed with same "No DVI-D signal". Subsequently determined that the system would boot Safe mode. Uninstalled ATI driver and Catalyst. Reboot normal sequence as system was using MS generic video driver. Ran several tests both cards ATI drivers with same No DVI-D signal results. Prompt Newegg RMA response for the 1650 Pro. Ordered MSI NVIDIA 8600 for backup during ASUS replacement. Submitted ticket to ATI with problem. No fix response.

Other Thoughts: My monitor is Viewsonic 2030b 1600 X 1200. My opinion is that the 1950 is operating beyond it's design limit for high resolution monitors. FS X isn't a demanding graphics application as are games. MS driver supports resolution of 1280 X 1024 and is in current use by the 1950 Pro

5 out of 5 eggsBest Deal in Video Cards

Pros: The Price/Performance ratio is incredible. Windows Vista rated this card a 5.9, the highest score available, so it is a very capable card. I have a dual monitor setup and run games at 1280x1024 and I played Bioshock with all settings on high without a hiccup. I am very pleased.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This is a great card to transition to from SM 2.0 cards, especially if you are going from AGP to PCI-E and want the best bang for your buck.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This card has been an outstanding value. I bought the card last October. The card will clock to 630 using the Asus software and bios and remain stable provided there is ample secondary fans.

I think some users a getting fried overclock returns , I won't get into that though.

This is an excellent value card.

Cons: I had this card for 1 year .........
No cons, really.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing

Pros: This is a great card; got this six months ago (when it was ~200) and it still beats the socks off of any sub-x900 (e.g. NV 8900 or ATI 2900) card out there.

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: The overheating problem is becoming more common among cards today (ATI AND NVIDIA); and Vista is really bad about controlling graphics cards. Most cards today ship with the top fan speed at 40%! For this card, download ATI Tool, and go into hardware->overclock settings. Don't overclock, but crank the fan speed up and you'll have a VERY stable, VERY good performing card. For NVIDIA cards, get R1vatuner. Also, the ASUS version has a better cooler than some of the others, so the overheating problem with this card isn't as bad as some of the other cards in this series.

4 out of 5 eggsDEAD in 2 months!

Pros: It performed as I expected. Its pretty fast and quite until it hits the high fan setting. Smart Cooling keeps going back to Manual Mode in full speed after playing 3D game. That was pretty annoying.

Cons: Idle temp was around 38C initially it creeps up slowly after that to 50C before it died 2 months after installation.

3 out of 5 eggsOverheating problem

Pros: Quiet and really fast...compared to my old 9550.

Cons: The overheating problem that mentioned by few people happened to me. Everthing worked fine until I start to test with 3D game. Few minutes after I enter the game, system halted, screen blacked out. I removed the most updated ATI driver and rolled back to Asus driver as mentioned in earlier post, but the fan speed apparently still stuck at 20%. The setting in SmartDoc doesn't take effect anyway. Following Nerfarian's comment posted here earlier using Riva Tuner to speed up the fan to 50% fixed. Problem solved.

Other Thoughts: I trusted Asus brand-name, but they let me down this time. I ran AOE3 in window-mode seeing the temperature reported by Riva Tuner surged towards 65C, while SmartDoc still reported 45C...no wonder the fan speed remain low anyway. The moment I speed up the fan to 50% with Riva Tuner, the temperature remains around 60C while playing AOE3 Asus should do better.

2 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Excellent performance. Runs Bioshock with all graphic detail options on at good framerate. Amazingly better than my old X1550. Despite problems, would purchase again.

Cons: First card was completely DOA. Computer wouldnt even post with it installed.

Only one DVI adapter, but thats not a big deal - I had an extra one already. As has been said, the card is very long, and the power socket is on the end - making the card even longer. Barely had room in my giant Antec SX1040 case

Other Thoughts: I've had 2 of the cards, so this is an average score for both.

I would have given it 0 stars for the one that didnt work, and 4 stars for the good one. Would have gotten 5 stars, except the size of the card and power socket placement meant I had to shift around some hard drives in my full size case. If it was just the length I would have been fine, but I wouldnt have had room to plug it in

5 out of 5 eggsADD TO CART !

Pros: I read many reviews before deciding on this card and I'm extremely happy that I went with this one. First off, It looks great, only taking up one slot in my pc. Secondly, I installed it in seconds and didn;t even need the driver cd. It automatically downloaded the latest drivers/updates as soon as I fired up the computer and I was gaming in like 5 minutes after install! It was just too easy but no complaints here.
And Finally, I loaded up my pc games: BF 2, Doom 3, C.O.D 2, Oblivion, and F.E.A.R- all settings on high and everything works fast and flawless with beautiful Crisp & Vivid graphics! DVD movies are beautiful as well. Did I mention the fan is very quiet as well. I have my tower on the desk beside me and I cannot hear the gpu fan at all! This is by far the best graphics card I've ever owned and I would reccommend it to anyone.

Cons: None so far-

5 out of 5 eggsI can't believe it's not more money.

Pros: It is simply amazing for Bioshock, I thought that water was going to pour out of my monitor in the opening scene.

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: WOW!
