5 out of 5 eggsworth it

Pros: cheap, needed something for video-less mobo this was the cheapest. i could play bf2 lowest of low settings (was enough for me) but after recent addons of 2GB of value select ram it can do maxed out w/o aa. has asus gamerOSD which means i can record my gaming and play it back (higher quality sacrifices game settings but good enough for me)

Cons: none for what you paid

Other Thoughts: i figured i'd wait to buy what ever new gaming tech is around the bend, but turns out i'm not into gaming enough to justify much more than this card. my setup is an e6300, ecs 570 sli-t mobo, 3gb value select ram, rest is subject for change

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget card for everyday computing

Pros: Low price, compact, quality build, works well for both websurfing and watching videos on my pc.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I originally purchased this as a temporary card because I bought a motherboard that only had a pcie video card. My plan was to upgrade once DX10 cards were out but this card has worked so well that I just don't see the need now.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Cheap - Low Profile

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: Owned it for two years works fine. TOTALLY agree with 'computer geek' it IS funny how some of this stuff is rated ... I haven't been rating stuff cuz I feel I should own it for a while. and I'm also trying to be honest about my knowledge of things. I've been involved with computers for 30 years now. and they have been my career my whole employed life. but I don't give myself a high rating on everything. ... Take this video card - I'm not a gamer, gamers tend to know ALOT about video cards... I'd say I know a fair bit ... but there are those that know more.

4 out of 5 eggsfunny

Pros: not to bad for light gaming like ut ect.

Cons: no fan

Other Thoughts: it is just funny to read the other reviews how can you expect a card with 4 pipelines and a 64 bit interface to even come close to a gaming card if you actually had a high understanding of this type of product you would quit giving it a 1 or 2 egg review because it is not a gaming card. it is a great card for the price / features it is in my media pc and works great for displaying home movies or videos on a tv.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Worked well doing mundane tasks, watching videos, and playing videogames like The Sims 2 at moderate or high settings. Able to play games like Oblivion at low settings.

Cons: Started going bad about 16 months after I got it; began crashing during videogames, then during videos, finally while running solitair or just starting up.

Other Thoughts: You get what you pay for, I guess, but I would've expected longer life out of it.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: This is not exactly an official review as I have not used it yet.
It turns out that I bought the OEM version of this, and it came in a retail box with accessories. I am very satsified as it seemed like the OEM should have cost less, and the retail should have cost as much as the OEM. It turns out that the OEM is the retail, so no need to purcahse it from this page. Go to the OEM page, and save your money. ThankGod it came in the day after the day I ordered it.

Cons: The label says XP for system requirements, so it leaves it up to the customer to either do extra research to find out if it will work on Vista. If it does not, than it is not really a con because the label is accurate.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent choice for a low end card

Pros: *Inexpensive
*Supports DirectX 9
*Supports Media Center Edition
*Supports good resolution
*Good brand

Cons: *None

Other Thoughts: I've purchased more Asus video cards than any other brand and recommend them for video cards and mother boards any day. This card, while low end, likes Media Center Edition much better than the 6150 that is included on my Shuttle's motherboard. WIth the old integrated chipset, I couldn't hit 1440 x 900 even though the TV could... with this, I can easily hit it and run Doom3 and Quake 4 at least at good resolution.

Definately a good buy for a low-end/budget card
