5 out of 5 eggsLinux loving GPU

Pros: Ubuntu Jaunty recognized the card on boot, restricted drivers make this baby hum.

Cons: Too much packaging from Asus... Give it to me in an unbleached OEM box.

5 out of 5 eggsVery Satisfied

Pros: Fast. Easy to use. Great features. Very quiet.

Cons: BIIIIIIIG!

Other Thoughts: I purchased this card to upgrade from my Geforce 8400 HD 256Mb card. I have a fairly powerful machine and this card was my limiting factor (according to my windows experience score, anyway). The only problem I had with the install was the size. I had a tv tuner card in the slot next to my old video card and i had to move it over 1 slot to fit this one in. The fan is a monster but it keeps it cool enough. Once I got it in I lost the use of the next slot over. Other than that, I'm thrilled. It took my vista score from a 4.0 to a 5.6, then to a 5.7 once I got the drivers up to date. The monitoring utilities are nice too. As for gaming, the card was kind enough to max out my left 4 dead settings and it looked and ran beautifully. I was even able to play that resource hog game Ghostbuster, though barely. With the rebate this card is a great deal, though I'm sure I won't see that money till the end of the summer. If you have the space, I recommend this card.

4 out of 5 eggsWhee

Pros: When the thing worked, It worked well. Fast and smooth.

Cons: Major in-game freakouts. Doesn't work anymore.

Other Thoughts: Since it's supposed to be about the card, I'd have given it a 5 -- from what I saw, a fully functional card would have been great for the price. The lost egg is for delivery time and return service.

-- "2-day free delivery" apparently means "two days to process the order and three more to ship it."

-- Return service = not so good. I now have to pay $10.00+ for return shipping because I was given a faulty product and it may take a few weeks to get a replacement.

When all goes well, Newegg is great... when it doesn't... not so much.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent card for the price

Pros: Worked out of the box with no issues and has support for Home Theater. Runs quietly.

Cons: Needed to update drivers from Nvidia to get correct resolution but that seems to have been the case on every video card I purchase.

Other Thoughts: Great price with the mail in rebate.

5 out of 5 eggsWhat an improvement!

Pros: This package came FAST! I ordered it and 25 hours later it was at my door. Awesome delivery time. Now about the card. It is factory overclocked beyond normal 9500GTs on the market so you don't really have to mess with the overclocking. However there is a program that comes with the CDs that allows you to overclock. I'm not going to mess with that though because I originally thought my power supply would underpower my card to begin with. I run Half-Life 2 at an average of 70fps on highest settings. On my older card I would average about 10fps based on the video stress test. So this card is 7x times better than my GeForce 8400 GS which was also 512MB. This graphics card is the second one that I've owned and it is great!

Cons: I ran into a couple of blue screens of death trying to start a game, but I think it was a driver issue. I didn't uninstall my old graphics card, but I did remove it from my tower. After I updated the graphics card through Nvidia's website and after I changed in the BIOS the primary video adapter to "PCI-E/PCI"(I originally had it changed to PCI-E/internal VGA ) then I was able to play games. I thought the blue screen was due to my power supply, but that is not an issue. The blue screen occured probably because the drivers from the old card I had. Sometimes when I'm playing a game, there is a fraction of a second where it the game stops. It's no big deal though. It might go away if I turned down the video settings or dropped the Anti-Aliasing down a bit, I don't know.

Other Thoughts: This Asus EN9500 GT's minimum power requirment according to the box calls for 400W with a 12V current rating of 26A. However, I am running this card and the rest of my system: Intel E5200, Asus P5GC-MX/1333 motherboard, 4GB of memory(only 3GBish cuz of windows XP home(32-bit), and of course this card on a 450W with a 12V current rating of 21A. I haven't had any problems so far. Sometimes when I'm playing a game, there is a small drop in the performance in the sense of frame rate.

4 out of 5 eggsI like it.

Pros: Factrory overclocked for those not wishing to tamper on their own. 3 output options. Software included allows for on-the-fly overclock adjustments (including removing the factory overclock), and monitors temp/fan speed. Runs Crysis on my 720p monitor with highest settings (that is, "high" settings in due to DX9 limitations - haven't tried the hack to run higher graphics in DX9 mode). I ran Crysis at 1080 resolution with high settings, but the framerate was unacceptable.

Cons: I'm seeing some artifacts while playing Crysis and Oblivion (random color splashes) fairly regularly - hence the lost egg. Not sure if this is due to the factory overclock or not, but it doesn't bother me personally given the great performance otherwise.

Other Thoughts: I was running Crysis on low settings with bad framerate using the VGA output. Then I switched to HDMI and it runs on High...sweet, but why?

My budget gaming build - spent $500 and it's great. Why do people think they have to spend so much?

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Card

Pros: Great card for the money. Very easy install, keeps very cool.

Cons: Pretty big, takes up two slots.

Other Thoughts: This is the only PCI slot that I am using in my computer, so it works out great.

4 out of 5 eggsNo video

Pros: I love the look and style of this card works awsome for duel monitors. It doesnt take as much space in the case as you would think with the fan and heatsink being a lil on the big side. I run wow and runs wow flawless on full settings.

Cons: I had trouble getting video on the hdmi and tryed to switch to my on board and couldnt get video after install. I ended up having to reset my bios. run on the onboard to set it up for pci load priority wich had to take the card out to get to my jumper due to location on the mother board wich has nothing to do with the cards size just poor location. After all that seem to run fine.

Other Thoughts: Good card, cool look, a bargin for ur buck!
