5 out of 5 eggsStill plays nearly everything

Pros: I usually don't write reviews, but this card has taken everything I've thrown at it with and passed with flying colors.

Cons: The only exception came recently--FIFA 15 isn't backward compatible with Direct X 10 cards. Otherwise, I haven't had a problem running backward-compatible Dx11 games.

5 out of 5 eggs2014 and showing signs

Pros: Got this card in 2009 (see my review) and this card is finally showing signs of wear. It seems to overheat during BF3 (high settings), Guild Wars (higher settings), and causes machine to stop responding (error with display driver responding) and sometimes correct itself. Other times, it will completely crash and I'd have do a hard reboot.

Replacing with a GTX 760 this week. :-)

Cons: big, hot, and ati drivers are not always the best.

Other Thoughts: Couldn't have asked for a better card though, this thing came out in 2008 and it's 2015 (almost) and i'm ready to upgrade.

4 out of 5 eggs2013 and it's still going!

Pros: Worked well for years and now as back ups and loaners. They did their job in my gaming rig for years, now they are in my son's Haswell Sabertooth rig till we get his new GTX780ti. After that they go into my loaner case when someone needs a loaner card.

Cons: BSOD's by atikmpag.sys which in other words means "Never going to get fixed", this was an issue from the start, but one I could live with as it happened once or twice a week at most. I had them going well enough in my old rig to go a month or two without a BSOD, but now in my son's truly awesome Sabertooth we have BSOD weekly.

3 out of 5 eggsNot a fan

Pros: The unit for all intents seemed ok, fan ran quite and the driver support seemed to have an update almost monthly

Cons: Stuttered/paused any time scrolling was more than a page, with several windows open would lock or freeze and running Google maps was a nightmare. Not the most game friendly. And Video editing...forget it.

Other Thoughts: I replaced a 8800gts with this card and I am sad to say it was a bad choice, the 8800 is now back in the unit and running great.

5 out of 5 eggsAll around good card

Pros: 41 degrees idle, 62 load. Free leather mousepad. Fan is quiet (Much more quiet than my old 7800GT)! Runs every game I throw at it on "max."

Cons: Resolutions above 1024x768 in Crysis is out of the question (On High in Windows XP; Very High not tested).

Other Thoughts: It doesn't vent heat out of the back of the case, so cooling has to be done right. I personally installed a fan on my case cover in the bottom left corner (facing the exterior) and the temperature above were produced.
