Card Works but the headaches to install it will make you go insane
- Pros: it works after 2 days of trying to install it...
- Cons: Spent 2 solid days trying to install the drivers on this card. Installed and got black screen, restarted and windows genuine popped up, tried to install drivers again this time i did and restarted only to get to windows loading screen before log in then it froze and went black had to restart. uninstall drivers and restarted and then reinstalled and restarted only for it to happen all again all the while i was having to find certain files that for some reason werent being found on the install and had to search the disc. finally i read to uninstall everything manually so i went into add remove and uninstalled every ATI and ASUS program i saw.. i had a ATI wonder remote installed that after uninstalling i was able to install the VGA driver and other drivers to use the HDMI output to the TV but i still get error messages that certain components are not working or installed properly.. either way what a headche and now i am able to use my 19inch monitor without any glitches when i scroll
- Other Thoughts: At least it does what i bought the video card for.. the plug in my 42 inch LCD HD tv to watch movies/online shows in HD thru hulu that i missed...
M AKE SURE YOU HAVE EVERYTHING UNINSTALLED THAT IS ASUS AND ATI BEFORE INSTALLING THIS VIDEO CARD OR ELSE YOU WILL HAVE THE BIGGEST HEADACHES EVER
Fan is weak link
- Pros: Stable and fast.
- Cons: Fan failed at 1 year
- Other Thoughts: Great card, but as with any electronic item it's only as reliable as it's weakest link. In this case, it's the 50 cent fan. Sure, it's not going to have the highest end fan out there, but it should last the three years the card is warrantied for. As well, seeing it's the only mechanical component, it should be user-serviceable - which it is not. Now it's going through the RMA process and we'll see if ASUS makes good on this. Normally, I'd just buy another one, but they have to be held accountable for the item otherwise they'll just keep using parts/suppliers who supply borderline quality items.

- Cons: Shipped with outdated drivers. What's new?
- Other Thoughts: Used it to update a 5 year old computer that was used for odd jobs. Took most of the pressure of the cpu and can now use the computer for other projects. It was a dog until now. Perfect for a beater.
