DOA
- Pros: Packaged well.
- Cons: The unit wouldn't get power, couldn't even get an image to set up the BIOs. Even verified it with an AUSU's tech guy on the phone who said it sounded like a short and recommended a return.
This card ruined a otherwise very successful custom build of a $2,500 computer I saved 8 months for.
- Other Thoughts: I was even running it on a ASUS motherboard, the Rampage II.
Still no Support!
- Pros: Card itself still works after a couple months
- Cons: No software support what so ever! Asus site is dead for the Matrix as far as any activity. iTracker is buggy and does not maintain profiles. No fix for flawed BIOS flash that does not support fan speed changes
- Other Thoughts: This is my 2nd review now after a couple of months of usage and where is your support ASUS???!!! I still can't flash the fan speeds into the BIOS which means the high overclocks are useless without the proper cooling! I could have just bought the BFG maxed overclock edition. Buying this ASUS card for the software support was a mistake! It doesn't work as advertised and ASUS does NOTHING to fix this. Never again!

Good Clocks, Software, BIOS flash Sucks
- Pros: The card seems to clock stable up to 739/1615/2656 at 1200mV core and 2150mV memory. That's based on a 3dmark06 run, a few minutes in Furmark, and some flying in FSX. But would need to test more to make sure. I put in lower settings for actual use (735/1585/2599) in games & apps.
- Cons: The itracker2 (ver 1.1) software sucks and the BIOS flash does NOT set the fan control properly...basically ignores the input settings. The clocks seemed to flash OK (I used lower settings than mentioned above) but when the itracker software is opened upon reboot, the settings don't register and I have to select the profile and activate it to get the settings the stupid bios flash should have done. Also the software won't hold/run any profile properly other than profile 1. So overall I think the software sucks and the BIOS flash sucks too.
- Other Thoughts: I bought the card for the heavy duty parts, much better cooler, and the ability to flash the bios once I determined the highest stable clocks. 2 out of three I got. I generously give this 3 eggs. I hope ASUS fixes this.
