3 out of 5 eggsGood for average user

Pros: Quiet (no fan). Has versatile output selection. Low cost.

Cons: Poor design of header bracket. VGA socket is so close to end of bracket that it is very hard to install and remove from motherboard and case! Running Windows 7 64bit op sys, it scored the lowest of all 5 categories for performance. A 3.6 for windows Aero performance. The onboard 64meg video got a 3.3! LOL. Also, even the latest version of the utilities programs do not work. Get failed to load dlls error.

Other Thoughts: I built the computer this card is in for a friend who says he is NOT a gamer, so, I guess for daily use, it will work ok. I'd look for another card myself.

5 out of 5 eggsRefreshing Upgrade

Pros: Excellent for existing system upgrade. Purchased to upgrade HP A1130n to support Windows 7 Ultimate. Works perfectly, low profile!

Cons: none... Great for the money. Solid performer for everyday use!

Other Thoughts: Use driver update from Nvidia not the included CD if possible.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS Quality

Pros: Good Card for the price, excellent choice when selling my customers, a little extra beef for their machines. Frees up physical system ram, which is always a plus

Cons: Can't think of any, I'd probably put a little bit more expensive card into my machine, but so far, pleased, and I know the asus name is well worth it. Lacks HDMI Port, but at this price, I wasnt expecting one.

Other Thoughts: Overall, a good card for the budget conceinous customer. Asus makes a good product weather its cheap or a couple hundred bucks...MUCH better than a Zotec card hands down.

3 out of 5 eggsnot right for linux

Pros: overall, a decent spec'd card; good price. ASUS rarely disappoints.

Cons: signifigant tv overscan with linux. drivers for this card line (8400) do not provide overscan control.

Other Thoughts: I'd be quite happy with it if the nvidia drivers worked as well as they do for other geforce lines. I should have checked the ACL.

5 out of 5 eggsIt works right out of the box

Pros: Cost, No Noise, Plug and play, It does everything I want it too. What else can you ask of it.

Cons: Have not found one yet

Other Thoughts: I'm not a gamer so haven't pushed the card, not why I bought it. I wanted to see if there was an improvement for movies and wallpaper Transformers 2 and Star Trek look great.
I already had better drivers loaded then those that came with the card. All I loaded off the cd was Gamer OSD and Smart Dr. So I have to give it 5 Eggs

4 out of 5 eggsIf you need a silent edition to P55.

Pros: Cool running. Silent. After Rebate, way cheap. Great addition to a P55 if you don't need fast video or gaming. Dual output (though 2nd is VGA). It will be useful in P55 till Intel's integrated video Core I5 / I7 MB's come out.

Cons: I liked the older V-Cool Heat Sink design better. Dont expect much in gaming performance.

Other Thoughts: This card fills a hole for office / business class P55 based Core I5 / Core I7 systems, that need to be silent. It's sad when you could actually get better performance from current generations of Intel integrated video.

4 out of 5 eggsworks with M3N78-VM mythbuntu

Pros: painless installation with linux, works with Ubuntu 9.04 - MythTV
i was using on board graphics, frees up some RAM
fanless design is perfect for HTPC

Cons: tv out resolution is at 1024x768, my monitor is at 1680x1050, only get partial picture in clone mode. havent looked deeper to see if there is a fix though
box wasnt shrink wrapped...

Other Thoughts: motherboard - ASUS M3N78-VM
CPU - AMD 4850e
NVIDIA driver 180.44
Monitor - Samsung T220
