5 out of 5 eggsEggcellent

Pros: Hot Dang! - this thing delivers! Crysis maxed out 8x AA... not an issue with my system. High FPS, not sure the exact rate, but its silky smooth, so who cares? It is very cool, have not broken 55 degree mark with a couple hours of crysis and air cooling at auto fan speeds. W/ MSI afterburner fan settings it stays under 40 degrees without being very loud at all - under 50% speed.

Cons: really have not found many. Some of the drivers and other programs didn't install...oh well...don't really need them cuz I haven't hit a problem yet.

Other Thoughts: I really love this card - have OC'd lightly @ 850 / 1150 without a hiccup or any heat issues at all... get it already... it really is nice. Fallout 3 stock with 8x AA, 16x the other thing, and everything ultra looks quite pretty. Crysis maxed out without a hitch. Beauty, plenty of outputs, and comes adapters that you may need. Purchase, and enjoy!

5 out of 5 eggsGreat performance per dollar

Pros: This card blew me away with its performance. Runs any game I have max quality without so much of a hiccup.

Cons: None. Fan can be loud if you have to bring it up beyond 30% drive, but thats the nature of ANY small fan.

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card

Pros: Can play practically any game at maximum resolution.
36% fan speed runs at 34c at idle and wont go over 58c at full load.
Kills my old 9800gt+ setup

Cons: This is not really a con but since they are hard to find the prices have skyrocket .

Other Thoughts: I was able to get one at $250 now I have to wait and see if in the future prices come back down to crossfire this monster.

5 out of 5 eggsAmazing!

Pros: Best card ever! Runs all my games at highest settings. Mw2, Shift, Batman. Installed Dirt 2 demo last night, everything on high played without hiccup.
Overclocking Core to 860 Mem to 1200. I think thats 5870 speeds. Using Afterburner upped voltage to 1.1. Everything seems nice and quiet, not noticing any extra fan noise due to overclocking.

Cons: None. I couldn't nitpick it if i wanted to. Still continues to amaze me.

Other Thoughts: Got it will the price was low, sucks its gotten so expensive. Crossfire will have to wait till prices come down but that doesnt matter when this card by itself destroys every game.

3 out of 5 eggsPerformance is good, but green artifacts on startup

Pros: The card performs great, L4D2 maxed, Borderlands maxed, DragonAge maxed and all have good FPS.

Cons: Every time I start my PC up the desktop is covered in little green twinkling lights and for the first 15 minutes of play I get green twinkling pixels everywhere (W7). Usually I could just return the card to get one w/out problems but since these cards are 100% sold out constantly if I send it back I'll never get to use it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Card

Pros: Fast and quiet. Doesn't require stupid amounts of power to run.

Smart Doctor rocks compared to other overclocking utilities. Drivers are good.

DX11

Cons: I bought this card because of its value concerning overclocking. If you overclock it you can essentially turn it into a 5870 for a hundred bucks less. In order to overclock to this level and not overheat the card you have to adjust the on board fan. Suffice it to say it sounds like an airplane taking off. When everything else is so quiet its kind of ridiculous. If you want to see what I mean take a blow dryer and turn it on next to you while you play games for awhile. If your okay with this than buy this card and enjoy overclocking it. Otherwise, don't buy to overclock.

Other Thoughts: My system is pushing upper end of 18,000 on 3D mark with this. Even still most the games I play are not FPS, such as Empire Total War. This game still stutters with this thing overclocked. Pretty sure because of the bloated code used to develop the game. This is upsetting.

I ordered this on the egg on a Wednesday afternoon and still got it by Friday afternoon with no special shipping prices. The egg keeps their delivery service people in check.

Ordered the card within one minute of it going on sale using iPhone running exchange server for email. As soon as order was placed it was sold out. Good luck.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat ASUS 5850

Pros: Runs DODs very well. It speeds up the killing ratio in the game. 3D Mark 05 went up 3000 points over my previous 2x4850 in firex configuration. This card makes no noise, won't warm up PC case, its lenght is just there. ASUS OC Doctor works well with this card, it can OC with easy 3 steps. Driver from ASUS works well too. Overall great card at ok price. You will be smiling after this card run for you for the first time.

Cons: No CONS, did you hear me? No Cons. I see others crying about drivers, artifacts, lenght, niose, temperature, stickers, win XP (btw, who is using WIN XP when you can download WIN 7 for free from Microsoft, lol) etc... but most of those have no idea what they are doing. You need to prepare yourself in order to install this monster properly. Study some installation process on line, spend some time. So let me say it again. There are no CONS. Its great Video Card.

Other Thoughts: I tried this 5850, then two of 5770 in Firex and just today i bought ASAU 5870 to try out this best card on the earth. (NVidia? You have to face it that this time ATI got you BIG TIME)

5 out of 5 eggsGreat value

Pros: - All current games run at max settings
- Great idle/load power consumption
- Current bundle very good price/perf

Very easy installation of card. Packaging of this card was great very solid box by asus for shipping.

Cons: Since installing I hear a high pitch whine from my Power supply. I am upgrading from a 3870 and didn't think this pulled more power. Currently supply has 38amps on the single 12v rail; Max 560w.

To be safe I've ordered a 750w w/ 60amp on the 12v rail. I will update if possible if this solves the problem.

The card is a slightly longer than my old 3870 and I was worried it wouldn't fit, lucky for me I was able to squeeze it in. Now if I tried on my bottom 16x slow it wouldn't work due to SATA ports. My top slot allowed clearance. (standard midtower case)

I had issues with the Asus CD. The driver install would just lockup. Used ATI's driver causing a loss of being able to use Asus's tweaker tools.

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II 940
Asus AM2+ 790FX
8GB Cosair memory
Windows 7
560w PSU, Soon to be 750w

This is the first time in the 12yrs of building my custom pcs I've had a card that allows me turn the setting to the max and have playable frame rate. I'm in heaven atm :)
