5 out of 5 eggsCool little power house

Pros: Their new cooler does work well, compared to my sli 7900 gt's the temps are down to 36 C even after gaming for hours. The dual sli works well, Asus cards, Asus board, and an Athlon II X4 630 OC'd to 3.5 Ghz. I've been running Far Cry 2, Fallout 3, Fear 2, all on the highest settings in 1080p. The only 9800GT with tri-sli capability, I plan on testing that after upgrading to Windows 7. Low power means you can run these cards and not have to plunk down money for a >1000W PS.

Cons: If your board isn't spaced right the tall coolers may cause fitment problems.

I was't impressed with the Asus software bundled with the card, SpeedFan and GPU-Z work perfectly for my use, and are much less obtrusive.

Other Thoughts: Still not as cool as slapping a Accelero S1 Rev. 2 on your vga, but that's not really a con now is it?

Not sure how long it will take DX10 to be fully phased out to DX11, but with new games still being playable with DX9 cards (I've got a HD 3850 in a quad core AsRock AMD Athlon II X4 630, 3.5 OC for a back up rig), I don't think you have to be too worried.

Five eggs for this product, I've had no issues, they run fast and cool, and the drivers from Nvidia haven't ever caused issues. I'll update when I get tri-sli going.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat GPU for the money

Pros: Shipping was rather quick (3 days) but I didn't expect any less from newegg. GPU came well packaged and worked to pefection as soon as I downloaded the drivers for it. I have this GPU running on a '40 Toshiba and I have to tell you it took my breath away for the first month, but still amazes me with the crisp picture quality. Best investment I have made in a long time and ASUS GPU's have always treated me well in the past. Watch 1080p movies and play WOW, SC2, CC Tiberium Twilight and I run all games at max quality no problem.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card

Pros: I just recently built a new computer and finished the build with this card. its great for the money. I can play need for speed shift with the res and all the graphic settings on high wile averaging 36 fps. call of duty 4 modern warfare 1920x1080 all graphic settings maxed out getting 60 fps. This card doesn't require you to also buy a expensive high power power supply it runs fine on my 450 psu.

Cons: the fan can get loud when playing these games that push it but was expected. The card maintains about 46 degrees at idol and under a load playing games it never gets hotter then 65. The thermal controlled fan does a great job at cooling it. This card is longer then most cards, but fits just fine in my mid tower case.

Other Thoughts: My system AMD Athlon 11 x 4 630 2.8 Quad Core
biostar A760GM@+ V6
1x2gb Patriot ddr2 800Mhz
ASUS EN9800GT/DI/512MD3 GeForce 9800 GT 512MB
Raidmax Rhino Panther 450W ATX Power Supply

5 out of 5 eggsGreat budget card

Pros: I like this card. It's a nice step up from my old 7900GTX. This thing is willing to overclock, runs at 700/1000 easily. And I haven't noticed the fan at all.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsFantastic

Pros: WOW! I play WoW alot and figured I'd try playing with all settings at max just to see. 60FPS with max settings in Dalaran (if you play you know how that is). I can now see perfect shadows when a perp is flying over me to try and kill my char (Wintergrasp). Amazing card at low price.

Cons: none

Other Thoughts: Some people have said it is loud. It makes a little extra noise when I first log on, but maintains quieter than my regular computer fans.

3 out of 5 eggsIts ok

Pros: Runs good, installation was easy too. Ran fine for a year and 3 months.

Cons: Noisy, cheap fan, overheats in a snap, and only lasted a year and 3 months. The fan is honestly a pile of junk, it runs okay for a while then eventually starts to sound like a woodchipper, when that starts happening, its gonna keep happening till it dies, about 6 months later.

Asus support does not help either, as most of their guides and instructions are in broken english.

Other Thoughts: Take a look at other 9800s, or at least consider investing in a different fan

5 out of 5 eggseasy peasie

Pros: Audio over HDMI was easy to setup, includes needed SPDIF cable. Drivers recognized Panasonic TV. Was dual screening to 60" in mintues. Was worried this would be much harder. Card is cheap. Cooler, quieter & faster than what it replaced (x1950pro). bluray drive is next buy...

Cons: doesn't come with free chocolate

5 out of 5 eggsASUS = Quality

Pros: It's an ASUS, period. I purchased this to replace my BFG 9800GT. I have the same heatsink on my ASUS as I had on my BFG (Thermalright HR-03 Rev A. Buy one.). The results? This card overclocked from 600/900/1500 to 700/1100/1680 (clock/mem/shader). My BFG locked my pc when I attempted to overclock too 685/984/1653. While the BFG/ASUS cards share the same blueprint ASUS uses higher quality parts. This means fewer defects, less resistance, and greater efficiency. The overclock scores prove it, albeit arguably.

Cons: Tough to remove heatsink, thermal compound was like a glue. No big deal.

Other Thoughts: Runs Battlefield 2142 on full spec w/2x anti-aliasing... not even sure I anti-aliasing on... Running this on a 430W power supply, ASRock K10N78M mobo, Western Digital 160GB. 2 gig's of 533 ddr2 (dell sticks sadly). No dvd drive.
