2 out of 5 eggsFailed after 3.5 months

Pros: A fine card, when it works

Cons: Failed after 3.5 months - a few days ago it started emitting a high-pitched whine (which I thought was the CPU cooler) and today it started locking up on me.

Hoping I can get a new one on warranty..

5 out of 5 eggsGood Value

Pros: Very quiet .. can't hear it at all. Great value. Has VGA, DVI & HDMI connections making it more versatile. Can't say much more because it went in a brand new computer that had integrated graphics card. Haven't tried any games yet.

Cons: The card does take up 2 slots. In my computer (Dell 570) the slot placement means the fan airflow could be somewhat limited by a card being in the 3rd slot but since I don't have a card there can't say that for sure .. just looks like it'll will be close when I add one. Just make sure you have enough room for it.

Other Thoughts: I read about people having problems getting their rebates, so I was worried about that. I did the online part on 10/14, mailed the paperwork within 2 days & received my rebate 11/8 which was very fast in my opinion. I did choose the "fast option" for $3 but it was worth it.

4 out of 5 eggsGood lowwer level card

Pros: Uses DDR5 memory and the heatsink is very large.
Not very loud even under heavy game play.
Does not require a power pigtail or a large powqer supply. I have a 80%+ 380watt and runs this a a 3Ghz Dualcore just fine.

Cons: Only 96sp and 512mb of ram. Some games now are a little ram limited at 512 (like Farcry2).
Lack of power pigtail means it will not over clock as well as its limited to the power it can get through the MB

Other Thoughts: I was able to get another 50mhz (about 10%) overclock on the GPU and the ram clocked well. But the GT240 is not a greatoverclocker based on design.

Not a good card for new heavy games at high graphics but will play most current games at lowwer settings.

5 out of 5 eggsPhysx card

Pros: Great Physx card. No additional power connectors needed.

Cons: Wish it was a single slot, but I knew it wasn't when I bought the card.

Other Thoughts: Fast shipping by Newegg!

5 out of 5 eggsNo complaints

Pros: Price was good after bundle and rebate.
Super quiet. After listening to my 7600GT, this was nothing.
Easy to install, auto detected by Win7.

Cons: Not really a con for me, but like others have said, the fan is on the bigger side.

Other Thoughts: No complaints at all. Bought it to play SC2 and it's doing fine.

5 out of 5 eggsASUS GT240 w/512MB GDDR5

Pros: Quiet
Relatively Fast
Inexpensive (especially with rebate)
Windows 7 detected the new card and automatically installed the drivers

Cons: Thicker (on the fan side) than a single slot video card. Could be an issue if you need an adjacent PCIE (x1) slot for something like a TV Tuner or controller card.

Online reviews indicate it doesn’t over-clock successfully.

Rebate process. Listed offer code is “ASU-5413 (US)” but it doesn’t work. Tried ASU-5413 and that worked. They deduct $3.00 to send the rebate once all the required paperwork has been received and verified. If you don’t agree to the $3.00 deduction they say you will have to wait an additional 8-10 weeks.

Other Thoughts: Not really a Con, but I ordered it on Wednesday, since it shipped from Memphis, TN, it took until the following Monday to receive in So. California. I am spoiled by most Newegg orders showing up the next day.

I had an EVGA 7600 GT start popping capacitors.

My main computer (i7 860) had an EVGA GT220.
Replaced the GT220 with the ASUS GT240 The ASUS GT240 is noticeably quieter than the EVGA GT220. Windows 7 Experience Index Graphics went from 6.5 to 6.8. Windows 7 Experience Index Gaming also went from 6.5 to 6.8.

Installed the GT220 in place of the defective EVGA 7600GT.
Windows 7 Experience Index Graphics went from 5.8 to 6.5. Windows 7 Experience Index Gaming went from 5.3 to 6.5.

Bottom line, I was able to replace my defective video card and increase the performance of two systems @ a nominal cost.

4 out of 5 eggsNice card, terrible rebate

Pros: Good looking card for being a bargain type, relatively quiet fan (33-35 dbs ish), runs SC II on ultra for 1v1

Cons: ASUS Rebate is difficult. They let you click through a nice little website lulling you into thinking its going to be easy then ask you to mail every piece of paper that has ever existed about the card. Oh well
Doesn't like Crysis at all

Other Thoughts: Good bargain card, especially for Starcraft II.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: so far so good just got it in the mail a few hours ago and runs amazing. I'm primarily using it to play world of warcraft i actually had the setting on ultra and was sitting in the middle of dalaran and was getting 30 Frames per second

Cons: had a problem with the drivers off of the disc during games i would look one direction just slightly and my frames per second would drop to 1-2, so i re downloaded the drivers off of the nvidia website and cleared the problem right up

Other Thoughts: would have given this a 5 had the drivers on the disc worked properly all in all amazing card
