5 out of 5 eggsGood install

Pros: Installed easily. Downloaded and updated drivers. So far so good. Driving an LP IPS monitor with DVI cable for general use.

Cons: None yet.

Other Thoughts: Good shipping.

3 out of 5 eggsNo Aero Themes for Windows7

Pros: Silent. Does the job for movie streaming and movie playing. I'm not a gamer so no comments on gaming.

Cons: Windows7 will not allow me to select the Aero Transparency Theme. Windows Experience Index actually dropped my Graphics score(Desktop Performance) to 4.7, probably because the card fails to offer Aero. Previously, my onboard graphics card was giving me a score of 5.1. (Dropped 4 points).

Other Thoughts: The latest 5450 drivers on Asus website does not contain a fix for Aero. There are no notes on whether they have plans to fix this. I wish they would mention this on their advertisement. After getting intimate with the Aero features, I really hate that I have to take a step backwards and use Window's old themes. I have a 64bit OS.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: low profile capable, no fan noise, good quality and reliability, good packaging.

Cons: low profile bracket compatibility issue, fixable.

Other Thoughts: I have a Dell Optiplex, and the low profile bracket would not fit, I needed a bracket with the holes in the opposite locations. I used a dremel tool to cut the bracket in half vertically. The blue VGA connector cable is short, but it's just barely long enough to work in the other position too.
ASUS, please provide your low profile brackets as 2 pieces in the future.

1 out of 5 eggsBSOD and No Aero on Windows 7 & IE9...

Pros: The card is attractive and quiet. It will make a beautiful coffee coaster. However, I would have rather have spent my $105 at a coffee shop instead.

Cons: I'd been running two cards to support 3 monitors for the last couple of months. In that time I've had about 4 blue screens on Windows 7. Until I had these cards, I'd never experienced BSOD on Win7.

Also, whenver I use IE9, the computer CONSTANTLY pops out of Aero mode - complaining that the graphics card ran out of memory.

This is not at all what I expected from two 1GB video cards. I went down to just two monitors and the same thing happened. Finally, I pulled-out the cards and put my 2-year-old single 512MB card (a competing brand) back in and IE9 worked fine, no problems with Aero.

I have another identical system (Dell Precision T3500) that runs 4 moniters via 2 1GB cards (competing brand), and no problem with IE9 + Aero there.

...looks like I'm going to be buying (competing brand) for a while again.

1 out of 5 eggsBad Card DOE, Horrible tech support

Pros: Card arrived, would not boot up on older MB (pcie x16 1.0 slot). These cards are supposed to be backwards compatible, either this card is bad/DOA or it does not adhere to the standard, or has a conflict with my older MB for some reason.
New egg is refunding the money (the customer support rep tried to waive the restocking fee, but could not in the system, not their fault)

Cons: Contacted Asus on a live chat session, the customer support rep did not answer my questions and ended the chat session twice without answering the questions. On the 3rd attempt No one picked up my chat session waited for over 10 minutes. HORRIBLE support from ASUS.

Other Thoughts: Asus products in the past have been go to products for me, not problems at all. Now after expereinceing their horrible customer support, they have moved way down on My list.
I suggest you stay away if at all possible use a different product.

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: 1.Running great, No complaints.
2.Quiet without a fan.
3.Reasonable price.
4.HDMI output to my bigscreen TV

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I have had good luck so far without any overheating in an Antec 300 case. Quiet. Got it on sale so it was a good value.

3 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Inexpensive and ships with normal and low profile brackets.

Cons: GPU heatsink gets very hot and needs a case with good ventilation.

Other Thoughts: I marked the product down to 3 eggs because this video card was alarmingly warm after a few minutes in just the BIOS. This card is in a server environment with good airflow but I would not trust it in a SFF environment or cases with poor ventilation. I should have spent $10 more and bought the older Gigabyte Radeon model that had a better quality passive heatsink

1 out of 5 eggsGame No Video Yes

Pros: I can't hear it, and so long as your just running video's it really doesn't go that high, bc of the 1Gb it runs a lot of videos at once, good for multiple pc's.

Cons: I wish I could chuck the thing at the wall when it comes to gaming, the 128mb graphics that came on my motherboard works better for gaming than this thing, not to mention if you want to get any good gaming out of it, you have to overclock it. On WoW, 60 fps lowest setting, "crash" one setting higher, can't play crysis, your better getting a 512mb for the same price than this thing.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues you are experiencing with this graphics card. While you should have no problems using this card to play most online games and 3d games 4 years old and older, this video card is not meant for hardcore gaming and should not be marketed as such. Please contact us at http://vip.asus.com/eservice/techserv.aspx if you're having any issues getting the card not performing up to its' specified performance so that we can help you resolve them.

Best Regards,

ASUS Support Team

1 out of 5 eggspac man?

Pros: it is low profile as described and its pretty

Cons: this product would occasionally allow me to run windows and even allow access to my desktop before it would BSOD. Couldn't even play through a simple chess game.

Other Thoughts: I had tech support from the company I.T. professional, and through various attempts to recreate the problem, we found that when the video card was disconnected and running the on board video, it worked without a glitch.

PLEASE FOR YOUR OWN SAKE, DO NOT BUY THIS CARD!!!!

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

We apologize for the issues you are experiencing with this graphics card. Please contact us at 812-282-2787 and provide case number 1155179 so that we can get more details about your system configuration and assist you in troubleshooting and arranging an RMA replacement if needed.

ASUS Support Team

1 out of 5 eggsDOA

Pros: As usual Neweggs customer service is tops.

Cons: DOA

Other Thoughts: I returned it and got the HIS H467QR1GH Radeon HD 4670, a couple dollars more but well worth it.
