3 out of 5 eggsSo So

Pros: Nice video return, enough power to run any game at the time.

Cons: Ran a little hot

Other Thoughts: Video card was good while it lasted, 2/2.5 years later and it died. The last year it was used just to surf web, no high tasking of card.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Card Ever Owned

Pros: This is the best Video card I have ever owned, and only payed 140$ for it. Still to this day runs all my games on high/ultra, only runs on high with battlefield 3.
A lot of people are complaining about it being hot, when I first got it I noticed it was hot so I took off the heatsink, applied Artic Silver and it runs REALLY cool, usually around (idle)32-45(under load). I am pretty sure that the main issue was the heatsink wasn't completely screwd down to make the best contact. Made a surprising difference.

Cons: Needs to be rebuilt to get cool temperatures, but completely worth the time. DVI-to-HDMI Signal isnt strong enough for my 50ft HDMI cable, worked for a while but now I have to move the adapter slightly around on the DVI port for it to work.

Other Thoughts: AMD Phenom II x4 965 3.4 GHz

G.Skill 2x4GB 1600

2 out of 5 eggsHit and Miss

Pros: *One of the fastest of the HD4xxx series.

Cons: *The non-stock cooling system blows hot air into the case
*Runs very hot
*Prone to failure
*requires 2 pci-e power connections

Other Thoughts: I had this card for almost 2 years. The card always ran very hot even with more than adequate case ventilation. Had it's first failure 6 months after purchase and was repaired by Asus via warranty. Failed again a month ago.

2 out of 5 eggsSO HOT

Pros: These cards do their job, their about as low profile as you can get

Cons: SO SO HOT. As in, they ruined my power supply. Three of them. They take a LOT of power.

Other Thoughts: Will probably have to change these cards. Can't stand them.

4 out of 5 eggsPretty good

Pros: Pretty good card. Runs the games that I play on full settings without dropping below 60FPS. I'm actually going to buy a 2nd one and Crossfire it because I was pleased with this card.

Cons: If you don't have great cooling, the card starts to sound like a jet engine.

3 out of 5 eggsYou get what you pay for.

Pros: Had card for about 4 months. Affordable for good graphics. Could play SC2 on Ultra, which is awesome, but lags (not quite often) in nexus wars.

Cons: Fan is horrible. After turning on comp from sleep mode, fan stops spinning. Luckily I have asus smartdoctor so that I can adjust the fan speed manually or else the thing would've been fried. It's quite a hassle having to check often whether or not the fan is spinning... Cooling isn't too great either, idle is at 42C average, and under load is around 55-63C.

Other Thoughts: Should've paid a little more for a better graphics card...

4 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price. The card runs Star Craft 2 at Ultra settings with no noticeable drop in frame rates. It can not run World of Warcraft Cataclysm at Ultra settings. I have most settings set to 'fair' in Cataclysm. I think this is mainly due to the massive view distance possible now in CATA. The only lag I get while playing WOW is when turning my char get a massive drop in frame rates from all the landscape being rendered as I change my view. So I found it necessary to drop a lot of settings in order to still have a semi good view of the surrounding area. In 5 mans I get around 150-200FPS depending on the instance.

Cons: Cant run World of Warcraft Cataclysm at Highest possible settings.

Other Thoughts: If your gonna spend 130 bucks just fork out an extra 50 and get one of the 6850's for about 180 they are all also DDR5 with 256-bit and many more new features the 4000 series cards do not have. I'd imagine one of these would run WoW at full bore.

4 out of 5 eggsFantastic card, but beware of the bundled utilities...

Pros: Price and performance. The catalyst Control Center allows easy setup of Crossfire. Running two of these in crossfire mode allows max detail with great framerates for Fallout3, Left4Dead2, STALKER series, etc. without overclocking.

Cons: The utilities bundled with the card (GamerOSD and SmartDoctor) caused some instability with Windows 7 64bit pro. Fallout3 would APPCRASH until I uninstalled these utilities. This is the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars.

Other Thoughts: Core System:
Intel Core 2 Duo E8500
Asus P5Q Pro Turbo
Asus Radeon HD4870 X 2
G.SKILL DDR2 PC2 8500 X 8 GB
