5 out of 5 eggsWorks great with my low-end system

Pros: EXCELLENT price/performance, especially with rebate.
Card is not too long and will fit in my mid-tower case without bumping into my hard drives.
Worked in my cheap motherboard without a true X16 slot.
Good quality build.

Cons: Fan is audible sometimes.
Requires a good power supply with extra power connector for the card.
Takes up space of two slots.

Other Thoughts: My low-end motherboard only has a "PCI Express Pro X16 compatible" slot (not a true X16) - so at the most my card sees only 8 lanes or up to X8 speed. Still, it does work and scored 7463 in 3DMark06 (trial) version. Windows Experience graphics and 3D graphics scores increased from 3.4, 3.0 to 6.8, 6.8 over the on board video. I did not overclock anything.

My system:
PC Chips A13G V1.0 AMD socket AM2 motherboard
AMD 4200 X2 processor
2 GB RAM
Windows 7 64 bit

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Card

Pros: Works like an absolute beast, besting an 8800 GTX, and requiring very little power. Even at 35% fan the thing stays WAY cool, and at 70% fan no way is it going to overheat even in the hottest of days.

Cons: The card feels like a little weak when putting it into the PCI-E 16x slot, and even worse the PSU PCI-E 6 pin struggled to get into it's place, but soon as it snapped into place it's been flawless ever since.

Other Thoughts: for 100 bucks, it's way worthwhile, and 2 of em in SLI is the best bang for the buck outside of the 400 series hands down.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card for the sale price.

Pros: My Windows Experience Index went for 4.8/5.8 with a 8400-GT to 6.2/6.2 for Graphics. That was a MASSIVE difference. in gameplay.

Cons: Card takes up two slots.

Other Thoughts: Too bad I found a GTS-450 for the same price (after rebate) the next day. I bought is and now I have a 250 sitting in a drawer. WEI is now 7.1/7.1.

5 out of 5 eggsdoes what i want it to do

Pros: i can run alot of games with this card, even bottlenecked it does very well. for the price if your looking for a mid range card you cannot beat this one, i havent run anything that is extremmely demanding, but if you can buy 2 of these for sli or in a PhysX setup performance vs cost is great :) this is a great card for a budget gamer rig.

Cons: none really yet as ive only had it for a few days in which i sank alot of gaming time in :)

Other Thoughts: for the price i got it at (65$$) its a steal, and a huge upgrade from the 8600 gt i was using, and im used to a little fan noise, this isnt any louder then the othwer card i had and its a much bigger fan. im thinking of buying another for sli.

3 out of 5 eggsnot Hybrid SLI capable

Pros: FAST, OCable.

Cons: NOT HYBRID SLI CAPABLE. Tried all kinds of ways, drivers, it just not able to do it. maybe Newegg.com should have indicated it.

5 out of 5 eggsGood Price Performance Card

Pros: For the price of 66$, it is a worthwhile upgrade.

This replaced a stock 9600 GSO 768MB 192-bit card that reached temperatures between 90C-95C playing SC2 at high settings with an average of 40 FPS.

This stock GTS 250 512MB 256-bit card only reaches temperatures between 70C-75C playing SC2 at ultra settings with an average of 40 FPS.

Cons: Only 512MB and not 1GB.

Other Thoughts: I did a little overclocking of the card and was able to achieve settings of 740MHz core and 1100MHz memory which raised temperatures to around 80C under Furmark load. Stock load temperatures were around 73C. However, at overclocked settings, it caused SC2 to be choppy at times as well as cause it to crash so the overclock was unsuccessful. I think I just need to tweak it a bit more to get it to run successfully.

Also note I am not using a fancy PSU, just a Thermaltake TR2 430W PSU, which may be the reason why I cannot overclock the card to the settings noted above.

5 out of 5 eggsNice card

Pros: This card replaced an evga 8600gts that died. (My last evga card after dealing with their tech support).
Everything about it is better than expected. Games are showing effects that I didn't realize existed until now. The rendering is smooth and the depth of field is awesome! Card is quiet. Fits easily into my hp.
This card was installed in an:
HP Pavilion a1520n
3 gigs of ram
500watt psu

Cons: none.

Other Thoughts: As always NEWEGG was fast!
