4 out of 5 eggsFew Problems

Pros: Good board with a nice bios interface. Good for overclocking.

Cons: Just a few installation hiccups but nothing to serious.

Other Thoughts: The board turns on and then restarts after you make a hardware change and sometimes a system change, this is a little unnerving the first time its happens.

5 out of 5 eggsBest Sub $200 460 hand down

Pros: Runs very cool 30s to hi 50s C
Nearly silent - cant hear it above anything else in the case (less noise and cooler then my previous XFX 5770)
Easily overclocked to 900mhz with 1.51 v, pretty sure i can push it further, but haven't had the time or the need to go much higher.
Actually found this card for about $15 less, fantastic deal.

Cons: None so far.

Not a con, but expanding on what the prior reviewer said regarding CPU limited games. A 3.5mhz Athlon 2 is not a very fast CPU by today's standards (there is much more to it than mhz). SC2 for instance in highly CPU limited (especially when playing large matches 3 v 3 +). BTW this card is pretty much as good as it gets for that game (verified by various reviews, look em up)

Other Thoughts: The review prior to mine seems to be referring to an EVGA card. 850mhz is no sweat with the voltage control available on this card. Smartdoctor works fine, but i prefer MSI Afterburner. Paying extra for a factory overclocked card is silly in my opinion, especially the other brands that still have a stock cooler (basically u pay for a weak overclock you can achieve with a click of the mouse). Custom coolers are somewhat pointless, IMO, as well considering how cool this card runs on a stock build. If you are using a 24' + monitor @ 1920x1080 plus resolutions you might want to go ahead and get the 1gb card. Difference at 1920x1080 is noticeable, but insignificant @1600x1200 and below (where I game at).

4 out of 5 eggsBALLER

Pros: - Can easily clock all the way up to 850 Mhz
- Ran right out of box
- Memory clocked nicely as well
- Price is amazing for the performance
- comes with two mox to 6 bin adapters

- plays Supreme cammander maxed out at almost 100
frames a second on smaller maps while clocked

- runs SUPER cool, this is one of the only cards i have seen run max setting with in a enclosure for any period of time and stay below 50 degrees Celsius!!

Cons: - takes up two slots (to be expected)

-needs two 6 pin connectors even though this card seems power friendly

- EVGA Precision doesn't let you directly control your core clock just the shaders, this can be adjusted for by knowing that the core clock runs at half the shaders speed or by just using MSI afterburner

- will only run two cards in SLI so if you want a TRI SLI build DONT DO IT. i dont ever see someone needing more than two of these bad boys but none the less just take note

Other Thoughts: I popped this bad boy in and instantly got 60+ frames on almost all of my games. This was even before started clocking it. I originally thought that i was able to get this card to run stable up to about 872 Mhz, however when i went to sleep i had some background processes running that proved me otherwise. i stepped it back to about 852 completely stable!! The minor suggestion that i have is if your going to have this card in your box make sure the rest of your hardware can keep up. I ended up getting only about 73 frames a second on borderlands and wondered why since my last card set could nearly match this, up until i look at my CPU and realized that this bad boy wanted my CPU to try to keep up with it. It WALLS my processor at 100% about every time i play a game. This is not completely a bad thing its just pulling all available resources. I Run a AMD athlon dual core at 3.5, so if your looking at getting the most out of this card you have to beat that!

4 out of 5 eggsGreat card, mediocre software

Pros: At 1680x1050 I played Bad Company 2 at highest settings, also Company of Heroes, Supreme Commander 2.
Voltage seems to be at 1V so changing with Smart Doctor is not necessary. Runs at 800MHz overclocked without problems.

Cons: I was trying to install just drivers from included CD - it installs crapware like WOW trial and who knows what else. SmartDoctor claims it will not run without drivers from CD only, but after I installed NVIDIA drivers it worked. SmartDoctor still complains that something else from CD is not installed and it may not work correctly.
With SmartDoctor card seems always start at 675MHz and I need to overclock it every time I reboot. I will try to remove it.

Other Thoughts: MSI Afterburner overclocks card too.

Why is the ASUS card box 2 times bigger than the card? They wasted a lot of paper just to fill in the box inside. Not very "green" of them.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Budget GTX400 Card

Pros: Asus' redesign of the stock GTX460 GPU makes for easier and more substantial overclocking.
This card is smaller than most other gtx460s
This card is a great deal compared to many of the same gpu's

Cons: Not a GTX 480

Other Thoughts: Must buy for a gamer on a budget that wants the latest and greatest technology.

5 out of 5 eggsBig improvement

Pros: This was a good step up for the price from my 8800 GTS 512. Runs cooler, faster and draws a little less power.

3dmark06 score went from 15000 to 20000
FluidMark score went from 215 to 306
Lost Planet went from 47 FPS to 75 FPS
Dirt 2 went from 58 FPS to 87 FPS

All were on the same settings. The only thing I changed on my system was the video card. Worth the $200 for me.

Cons: None so far

5 out of 5 eggsAwesome Card!!!!

Pros: Great overclocking potential.
Core Clock: 800
Shader Clock: 1600
Memory Clock: 2000
I haven't changed the voltage yet.

Cons: The Asus drivers weren't up to date. After installing drivers from nVidia's website, Asus Smart Doctor couldn't recognize the card so I had to use Afterburner.

Other Thoughts: The card is extremely quiet and runs very cool.
