5 out of 5 eggsRenders Premiere Video in Seconds

Pros: This video card is certified by Adobe to work with Production Premium's Mercury Rendering Engine. This card makes all the difference between 2 hours of rendering and 15 minutes!

Cons: none

4 out of 5 eggs470 - The Number of the Beast

Pros: This thing is a monster. Just one of them handles everything on MAX (even when I manually jack up the graphics config files) I've thrown at it so far: Crysis, Crysis 2 (runs better than crysis 1 lol), Bad Company 2, Shogun Total War, etc. Aside from the obviously beautiful graphics, The PhysX processor is particularly impressive in games like Mafia II, and it handles features like AA and AF quite well.

As for the shipping and such; Newegg is the fastest, cheapest shipping site on the net (with help from the great UPS), and their product prices are always competitive with other, over-rated online pc part retailers (KittyDirect?) Come on Newegg, make an IPO and go public already.

Cons: As it is a beast, it creates energy as such. It may get loud with the SmartCooling option turned on, but it is NECESSARY as the card almost ALWAYS overheats-artifacts-hard crashes on me when I forget to enable the option before gaming. I mean, I guess I could turn the settings down a little, but why the hell would I want to do that? I'm currently browsing the egg for a solid 3rd party VGA cooler. The stock one works fine (about 54 degrees C max with SmartCooling enabled), but I'd like to shut this beast up a little.

Other Thoughts: Bottom Line - I highly recommend this VGA.

And as a side note to the Newegg community, I built the following rig recently based upon your reviews. Thank you guys - and go Newegg!

1 out of 5 eggsRotten service from Asus

Pros: Fast card, plays most modern games with no problems

Cons: The card I received back in December has a bad DVI port ,I called Asus to get an RMA and after about an hour on hold I finally get it,the card is sent back to me exactly the same way,I send it back and get it back the same way again,So I still have the same defective card 3 months later.

Other Thoughts: Stay away from Asus,Horrible customer service

2 out of 5 eggsFast but overheats (Faulty one)

Pros: Fast card, it can move anything you throw at it.
Newegg is the best.

Cons: Overheats
Noisy fan at high speeds
Insufficient cooling

Other Thoughts: Well i guess i got a faulty one because this card overheats too much and because of that my games and pc freeze too often and i have to reboot it the hard way. I tried to improve the cooling in my case and to eliminate any potential source of fault, including insufficient PSU or faulty RAM, MOBO, CPU and my conclusion it that the card is failing even with the fan at max speed. I'm gonna have to RMA this card to Asus. Too bad. :(

1 out of 5 eggsNever purchasing anything from ASUS again

Pros: The card performes as you would expect a 470 to perform although it has issues with Call of Duty Black Ops

Cons: AMAZING, lost all respect for this company! I checked my rebate status to see when I will get my $30 and I notice it says "declined"... Reason? lol supposedly I purchased it out of the timeframe? I purchased on 12-31-10 when it was advertised by newegg.com as a valid rebate timeframe, well according to asus they say the rebate date was from 1.1.11

Other Thoughts: I was gonna buy another one of these cards and SLI it and purchase a motherboard for my other computer that I am building but the bottom line is the company has lost all respect for me, they have newegg advertising the rebate I sent everything in the first day and I get s c r e w e d because I purchased it one day too early? not according to the rebate offered by newegg on that day.
Fine they lose my business and I hope you all realize the type of company your dealing with.

5 out of 5 eggsSweet mother..

Pros: Upgrading from a GTS 250 to this card took my graphics rating on the Windows performance scale from 6.1 to 7.5 This card is awesome!

Plays anything (including GTA: IV, Team Fortress 2, BF Bad Company 2, Dragon Age, TES: Oblivion, Company of Heroes, Dawn of War II) on highest settings and rarely drops below 60 FPS.

Crysis at 1920x1080 settings all on high runs between 25-40 fps.

Fan is capable of keeping this beast cool, although...

Cons: fan at 90% is LOUD LOUD LOUD. Fan at 50% is barely audible however.

Other Thoughts: This card is big and requires 2 6pin connectors, I have a 530W PSU and i am able to stably run this card..

5 out of 5 eggsNeeds to be broke in!!

Pros: An update to my earlier post: this card over clocks OK when you first get it, but after a month of break in time I am now getting 771/1542 core/shader and 921 memory (up from 837) on 1.05 v. At first the memory seemed restrained to a 50 Mhz OC now it is slowly improving. So if it doesn't OC great at first go slowly and with time it improves. I guess the heat pads needed to get set or something. Also, at this OC I never pass 82 C in Furmark so I could probably pump more voltage and get more but I'm more than happy with this OC.

Cons: None-I love it. It seems they got the temps worked out cause I have never gotten past 82 (at 85 it artifacts) and in MOH it never gos past 68 with the fan profile tweaked.

Other Thoughts: I moved from 2 4870's to this and it was worth it because my room is cooler and although the max FPS are similar the min FPS are much better.

4 out of 5 eggsGreat Deal

Pros: As always great shipping somewhat expensive to APO, but they gave me a discount so No complaints. The equipment rocks easy to install and use if you pay attention to what your doing.

Cons: Nothing on the equipment....but my wife wouldn't let me assemble the computer until WAY after christmas.........

Other Thoughts: Wish I had more time to enjoy the completed product.....

3 out of 5 eggsNice video adapter, but not what I paid for.

Pros: Very fast. Much quieter than my GTX9800. I use it for 3d modeling and some light gaming. Works well.

Cons: Claims to have 1280MB of 320-bit GDDR5, but mine only has 1024MB of 256-bit. I am a little upset about that, but I am investigating the issue to determine if it is a problem with the card, or just the way Ubuntu supports it. (yes, I am a linux user). Otherwise it is working fine.

Other Thoughts: Can't give it 5 stars with the discrepancy in the memory stats.
