3 out of 5 eggscpu too fast?????

Pros: Matches amd colors nicely?

Cons: Too slow! And runs games (minecraft battlefield ghost recon... Ext) around 55c on low graphics. I know it might not seem hot but it doesnt render the graphics fast enough. I have it paired with an fx 8350 so i know its bot my cpu...

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

If you would like better performance for your system you may try overclocking your card. However, the GT440 may not be powerful enough for what you are expecting. If you would like some advice on a different graphics card, I can certainly help if you would like.

Please contact me if you have any questions at cl-jeremy@asus.com. I am happy to help in any way that I can.

Regards,
Jeremy

4 out of 5 eggsGreat for the price

Pros: I'm pretty impressed with the card. I can play swtor at max settings when sololing, but I can't recommend these settings in a group/ops settings. I played Arkham city with this card just fine on high settings.

Cons: NO SLI. I'd buy another card just if it had the option.

Other Thoughts: Decent card for the price. It runs circles around my old evga 8800 gts. If your looking for a budget build or something just to hold you over before you drop some change on a high end card, this card will do the job.

5 out of 5 eggsIndex Rating Info

Pros: I purchased this card more than a year ago to upgrade from just onboard graphics, without needing to upgrade my power supply (system as a 350 watt). Works great, I use dual monitors all the time.

It use to show a windows index of 6.5 for me, but I recently had some hard drive failure and I added a Solid State Drive to my system. Now that I'm running a fresh install of Windows 7 Ultimate from the SSD, not only does my system respond much quicker, but my index rating for graphics is up to a 6.8. Something to keep in mind if you want to improve overall experience, your video card might not be the bottleneck for performance on your computer.

Cons: This is a mid level card, great for budget systems or getting off your onboard graphics. Keep that in mind and you shouldn't be dissappointed, but don't expect it to rival a card that costs 5 times as much and needs it's own generator.

5 out of 5 eggs$95 can get you a lot

Pros: Performance is awesome for mild gaming. I play minecraft and saint row 3 and dead space, and list goes on and on. and this graphics card can handle high settings on a few of the games

Cons: very few. When i start up any game (except Minecraft) the cores max out and the fan starts spinning at 2000 ish rpm but its not that noisy.

Other Thoughts: Best $95 GPU out there in my opinion

3 out of 5 eggsIt gets the job done

Pros: I could run less graphics intensive games at max settings like Mass Effect 3. I also play COD4, it can do max settings at 1920x1080, but I tone it down to 1366x768 to get my 50+ FPS. I can also run Mafia II which is the most graphically intensive game I currently have at 1366x768 with AA off and everything else low to medium with 40-50 FPS, which is decent for a card at this price range.

Cons: On the box it is advertised that this card hovers around 35 C, this is false. On idle it runs at about 42 C and on load it nearly reaches 50C, given these temperatures are nothing extreme but it's false advertisement on the box. The fan is also loud as hell, I don't mind too much but it is definitely noticeable.

Other Thoughts: Overall, it's a great card for light gaming and dual monitor setups. If you are a more serious gamer, go for the Geforce GTX 550ti, it's only $20 more right now.

5 out of 5 eggsRuns very well with PP CS5.5

Pros: PC based NLE type video editing and quicker rendering.

Cons: None. Yet.

Other Thoughts: I purchased this GPU for use with Adobe CS5.5, namely for video editing and rendering. So far so good, it's doing well with the Mercury Playback Engine. I realize there are bigger and badder GPU's out there, but for the price? It's GOLD!!! This was an upgrade for my now 3 year old Gateway DX4200-09 machine which also received 4GB more of RAM as well, topping it out at 8GB of RAM which is all the MB can handle. This old AMD Phenom X4 9100e / 1.8 GHz quad core is still cutting it up for me. :)
