1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: Quiet when it works

Cons: I bought this card for my brother's computer to run non demanding programs and it overheated while on the desktop. DO NOT BUY it will crash your computer I will never buy a card without a fan again.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works in an HP N54L.

Cons: In Linux, audio over HDMI loses about the first second of audio -- sound effects are lost, but movies work well enough. I expect this is just a driver bug.

Other Thoughts: Runs a little hot, but works well enough.

5 out of 5 eggsGood HTPC card

Pros: -Low profile, silent, and HDMI output. Haven't put much strain on it as all I use it for is video/ media playback.
-Got it on a sale for 40.

Cons: -Runs warm. Seems to be about normal for a fanless card I suppose. see other thoughts.
-I broke the bond between the heatsink and gpu while installing. I didn't feel i exerted an unreasonable amount of pressure on it in the process. I removed, cleaned, and replaced the thermal paste and reistalled the heat sink. I still don't feel the heatsink is on quite as secure as it could be.

Other Thoughts: I did alot or research when looking for a video card for my parts build of a HTPC computer. Its a Dell Optiplex 745 board, but the rest is parts and pieces from here and there. The card itself runs rather warm, but that could just be from a lack of airflow in the low profile ITX configuration.
Even though the M board in the 745/ 755 is rated to run this card, it is nearing the PCI-Es max wattage. The ITX power supply I have barely handles it and runs crazy hot when I start streaming movies. I think I'm gonna wait until the PSU craps out and just build a new HTPC.

4 out of 5 eggsAdequate, easy install.

Pros: Economical card. Lets me watch 1080p video at my desk. No noise is always a plus.

Cons: Ghosting. Pretty noticeable and distracting depending on the circumstance. (that being anything with straight vertical lines, like, every Windows program or progress bar. :)

I have my monitor on an iogear KVM with the other host being a 10yo Dell 8300, and at the same resolution, on the same monitor, the 8300 does not produce the ghosting I see with this controller. Also, I never had a ghosting problem with this controller's predecessor (onboard SiS).

Still, 4 eggs because it's not noticeable to my eyes on moving video, really. And that video is rendered smoothly and was a big upgrade at a small price for me. If you'll be watching video (or playing games which aren't tetris or pac-man), I think this card should not be a problem.

But it's not exactly a home run.

Other Thoughts: Gets 1080p video to my screen smoothly.

I'm personally happy.

1 out of 5 eggsSAD

Pros: None ... I purchased this card so I could run dual displays ... FAIL

Cons: I purchased this card so I could run dual displays ... FAIL The picture on the page showed a DVI output ... NOT a DVI-D.

Other Thoughts: Now I'm stuck with a useless card because I can't return it due to the fact that I discarded the box it came in ... Goodbye ASUS

4 out of 5 eggsGood enough

Pros: Works fine for what I needed it for to use my big screen TV as my monitor via an HDMI cable.

Cons: Not really fast enough throughput for the size of my TV/Monitor.

5 out of 5 eggsAsus EAH6450

Pros: Silent
Good FPS for a Low Profile Card
Easy to set up

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: I was running 2 monitors off the integrated graphics from the GIGABYTE GAF2A85X-UP4 motherboard with my AMD A10-5800K APU processor. I bought this video card to run triple monitors with 1 HD monitor and 1 VGA monitor off the motherboard and 1 VGA monitor off this graphics card, mainly to do homework for college and being able to have 3 things open at the same time on different screens. Took a while to setup, having to download the drivers, then trial and errored and had to go into the BIOS to force the integrated graphics with the graphics card to run the triple monitors. The card runs perfectly fine and I've had no problems with it. I love it. And for the price you can't beat it.

4 out of 5 eggsVery Good

Pros: This is a very good low-demand card, suitable for a general upgrade of a pc that is intended for non-game functions. It worked right out of the box, after re-assembling it for low-profile, and after squeezing it in the only expansion slot that my HP Slimline provides. As expected, it improves the graphic capability of my pc noticeably.

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: This card comes with two pieces of software: one provided by AMD and one provided by Asus. Between the two of them, the user has access to a lot of setting-changes. The draw-back is that they tend to overlap in a few areas, thus confusing things.

5 out of 5 eggsMy HTPC now works perfectly!

Pros: - Came with low profile bracket
- Install was quite easy
- Drivers a breeze
- Plays live 1080i TV perfectly, all while....
- Running very cool

Cons: None.

Other Thoughts: My HTPC's integrated Intel HD Graphics just couldn't hack it when streaming live 1080i TV from my HD HomeRun Prime and this solved my issue. My HTPC now functions very nicely with no noticeable hiccups due to insufficient video hardware.

My HTPC:

BIOSTAR NM70I-847 (w/ Celeron 847 CPU)
Antec ISK 300-150
8GB RAM
60GB SSD
1TB HDD
Radeon HD6450
