1 out of 5 eggs2010 called to say that in 2010 this card was a piece of... garbage.

Pros: Silent

Cons: Not worth the $40, much better cards available for less.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card in July of 2013 so I could run Left4Dead2 on my low profile computer. It was a unique pc that was ultimately unable to upgrade. Anyway, the problem I was having before I bought a card was the game would load and play fine but would crash at any intense moment. So i found this decent looking card and picked it up for double the price ($80 total). Silly me. Now I can play my favorite game on pc with some friends. But i was still having a crashing issue. and other games would crash too. So i bought a GT 610 for $30 or so. After I ordered it, i matched the two cards online and the 610 was either only slightly better than the 6450 or about the same in comparison. I was very unhappy about this until i installed my new card. No problems what so ever. The GT 610 is a fantastic card for the price. I played all my games on it for over a year, until i recently built a budget gaming rig using the GTX 660. This was probably the biggest factor in my choosing the 660 over the R9 270. Besides, the top 5 cards right now are nvidia, anyway. 980, 780, Titan...

3 out of 5 eggsNice card, BUT

Pros: Fast, easy to install.
Love the low profile option
ultra quiet
Compatible with anything i tried it in!

Cons: Not as pictured.
The DVI port is NOT what is pictured. I am trying 5to find a converter, gender changer, etc that would work with it... the problem is that this is not a standard DVI-D, DVI-I connector.
The port shown has 2 pins on either side of the slot, the one shipped has only a narrow slot and no pins along side. This is one hard cable, or gender changer to find...

Other Thoughts: maybe someone has insight to this. I have not had to cross this path as most of my items plug right in.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat all round card!

Pros: I have uses this card for more than a year in my main machine and have not had any problems whatsoever. The drivers for windows 7 and Ubuntu work great. I have tried some gaming on this card and was actually surprise. It can handle most games at low-medium settings with 25-40 fps. I have it running 2 monitors in an eyfinity setup and I plays games like Minecraft and LoL maxed out. This card also works great for workstation computers that use CAD software. I would highly recommend this graphics card to any budget builder.

Cons: It gets quite hot and you really don't want to touch the heatsink when it is really working.

2 out of 5 eggsSo far not good

Pros: cost

Cons: Can't get this working in a Win7x64, S3200SH board/Q9550. The system will not boot. I have searched and the info I get from the web says that I should update my firmware. I am looking into that at this point but I really think the hardware is no good.

Other Thoughts: I return here to update what happens.

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent Low Power Graphics Card

Pros: Wonder little Graphics Card.

I bought a new HD TV that had only HDMI. My old Dell GX280 SFF did not have any HDMI so I bought this graphics card. Dell GX280 small form factor has a very small psu only 180 watts, and very little space inside it, so finding a graphics card was difficult.

I have used the Asus 6450 for about 6 months now, and I have not had any power issues, or any over heating issues.

I mainly use my computer as a media computer for playing movies, and browsing the web.

Cons: One of the metal clips on my computer was in the way, so had to bend it a little.

1 out of 5 eggsWaste of money

Pros: It works

Cons: Runs hot.
Max resolution was stated as 2560x1600 via the DVI port, I assumed it would be the same on the HDMI port, not so. With the latest catalyst drivers installed on Windows 7 64bit the max resolution that was allowed was 1600x900.

Other Thoughts: I was looking for something power a workstation that didn't need a lot of graphics processing. I'll never go cheap again. This is a strike against ASUS in my book for listing a max resolution not support by the card with the latest drivers installed.

1 out of 5 eggsDoes not work on Win7-64

Pros: Silent & cheap

Cons: I spent several evenings messing with the driver for this graphics card. It is one of those "unsigned" drivers that requires a special mode to get Win7-64 to accept it. I did all that. At one point Win7 was recognizing the card but after much fussing Win7 no longer recognized it. I've done everything several times and suspect the card will not work even with the correct driver installation. It will be returned.

Other Thoughts: In my opinion, ASUS was a trusted name prior to my experience with this card. I'll pay more attention and more money when I replace it. ASUS is not any better than the rest.

I've been using computers for eight hours a day for 30 years. If I can't figure it out, it isn't ready to be released.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Works in an HP N54L.

Cons: In Linux, audio over HDMI loses about the first second of audio -- sound effects are lost, but movies work well enough. I expect this is just a driver bug.

Other Thoughts: Runs a little hot, but works well enough.
