5 out of 5 eggsPerfect for HTPC

Pros: Totally silent
Low power consumption
Cheap!

Cons: None

Other Thoughts: If you need a silent, low power graphics card for a home theater PC, this is the one. It plays standard and 3D blu-rays with amazing accuracy and clarity. It installed in my Asus M2N32-SLI Deluxe motherboard without a hitch and the latest driver from Nvidia's site is trouble free in my experience. I am using the HDMI out to my BenQ W1070 3D projector and 120" screen. It looks AMAZING!

5 out of 5 eggsSilent, solid, 2nd video card.

Pros: Absolutely silent, compact, with support for just about any display connector you might have.

Used this in a HTPC where its silent operation and flawless streaming impressed me quite a bit.

Eventually pulled it out of the HTPC to use in my main to drive my 2nd and 3rd monitors, and again, not one issue.

Cons: Runs a little warm, but that is to be expected.

Other Thoughts: I didn't ask it to do too much in terms of gaming, but for what its worth, it pushed Magicka out without any hiccup whatsoever. It's an extremely capable card, given its specs and design.

5 out of 5 eggsGreat card for older comp upgrades

Pros: This card was purchased and used as a replacement for an older GT 8600 (256 mb) that went out after a couple years. This computer is an older VGC-RB30 desktop, so very old by today's standard, but works great, very quiet, and gets the job done extremely well for the intended purposes (viewing HD streaming, HD video chats, dual monitors 19 and 22", etc).

Cons: None to date. Note that this will run games but at average settings, but remember we're talking about a much older machine and hardware, even though other hardware components have been upgraded to 'max' the potential.

5 out of 5 eggsNice Video Card

Pros: Excellent Video card, was a breeze to install Extremely Quiet. Installed on an older HP PC AMD Dual core 5000+ 2.6 GHZ 3.00 Ram Windows 7 Pro 32 Bit

Cons: Had to go into Bios to re-enable audio after Drivers downloaded, Not really a con

Other Thoughts: This is a Great Video Card for the Price You cant go wrong. I Will Definitely Remember this video Card On My Next PC Build

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Good bang for the buck

Cons: none really for the price

Other Thoughts: Has helped extend life of my older system AMD socket 2 CPU 64X2 dual processor 6000+. Not really used to play games but cured lag on YouTube videos and generally sped up system. Runs relatively cool even with passive cooling

5 out of 5 eggsExcellent HTPC GPU, Including MadVR

Pros: I am utilizing the Asus GeForce GT430 graphics card in a home theater PC (HTPC) build. The motherboard I utilized does not have a HDMI out port. Also, I wanted a GPU capable of running MadVR, which was not possible with the Intel i3-2120. This graphics card has the HDMI out I needed and the processing power to handle MadVR. In addition, the card is passively cooled, which means that it does not contribute any noise to my HTPC build, a very important consideration for a computer sitting in one's living room. I have been very impressed by the video quality of both over the air TV, Netflix and Hulu video, and MKV rips of my DVDs and Blu-Rays. I was able to create custom refresh rates in the Nvidia Control Panel in order to dial in as close as possible to 23.976 Hz and 29.97 Hz for smooth playback of my MKVs. Given all of this impressive performance and the passive cooling, I have been impressed at how cool the card runs.

Cons: None

5 out of 5 eggsGT 430

Pros: No built in fan! Good drivers on Nvidia site. Runs all my FPS games. This video card will last a long time. There is nothing to break. I try to build a system that will last at least 6-7 years, without major problems. Nvidia is still the leader for the long haul.

Cons: Does run a little too warm. This can easily be fixed with a PCI fan blowing on your card! Easy, and really gives the card a chance to show you what it's got. I use fan N82E16835192007, and run the fan on high. Replacement fans are cheap! Nearly everyone has the proper size, even Radio Shack!

Other Thoughts: Why would you buy a video card with a built in fan? You know they don't last. ??? Is your daddy paying for your system? If not, I recommend this one. Yes, indeed.

5 out of 5 eggsHTPC Wonder Kid

Pros: Single slot, which was important for me because of the sound card below it. It has 128 bit bus (it's a plus compared to the numerous 64 bit offerings). Doesn't require additional power, so easier cable management.

Cons: 128 bit bus (if you need 3D gaming). Only one heatpipe, but it's quite enough apparently.
In 3DMark Vantage was approx. 5% slower than the 9600GT 512MB/256 bit, which is not a deal breaker for me.

Other Thoughts: I have it in a Lian Li PC-C33 which has an internal 140mm fan blowing on the card. Initially the max temp was around 70...72 Celsius while playing 1080p mkv, a little too high for my taste. My previous card, ECS9600GT fanless was cooler in the Antec P180.
On idle the mem/gpu frequencies decrease at 150/51 MHz so the temp goes down quickly.
However, after I made a pseudo-duct, isolating the video card region from the cpu cooler (just a piece of plastic from a file cover), the max temp dropped to 64 Celsius and idles around 45. The case has no exhaust, just the 140mm cpu fan and the other 140mm (Noctua 1200 rpm).
Overall, I'm quite satisfied.

5 out of 5 eggssilence is golden

Pros: Not the fastest graphics card, but that is not the point with a fanless design. Great choice for a HTPC, audio channel stays active in win7 when the television (samsung) is turned off. Have it coupled with TV tuner for free over the air digital TV

Cons: remember this is for HTPC, not gaming

Other Thoughts: Initially I was using the sandybridge 3000 video port and it seemed to work ok. Because the PC is on 24/7 for backup jobs and video survailence, there were random resets after one or two days. Disabling the Intel video interface and using the standalone graphics has solved the random resets.

5 out of 5 eggsthank you asus!

Pros: wow for a fanless video card this thing will run all day and night without overheating and stream 1080 hd like a champ

for 70 bucks its the perfect upgrade for an old pc that is mainly being used to stream video to the 40" led tv my gf has

Cons: its probably not going to play the high end games, but purchasing hardware is all about spending the minimum for maximizing what your needs are especially in this economy

Other Thoughts: my girlfriend does nothing but stream videos of korean dramas and her old video card was junk, tiny little pci-e card with rinky dink heatsink and fan in the middle

the fan got old and plagued with dust and made noises and she didn't want to spend more than 100 bux for a video card so this was an awesome deal for what she got
