4 out of 5 eggsgood for the price

Pros: the price is right for a low budget pc build, I bought this model because I was trying to save a few bucks on my first PC build and it has been going strong for over a year now. Plays my games I want, Skyrim, Fallout, Mass Effect, but I cant really go to the highest settings sometimes.

Cons: Dizamn is this thing huge, I had a horrible time trying to make room in my pc case. Other than that, the only bad thing I can say is I have trouble going all the way up to the highest game settings but I knew that going in! Its been reliable, I'd recommend it if you are on a budget or are doing this for the 1st time to build a pc.

Also, the software that comes with it isnt that great so you may want to look into other software to manage the temperature and fan of the card.

Other Thoughts: The software it comes with isnt that great, find other temperature regulating software.

5 out of 5 eggsGood card

Pros: -Can run most games on high settings
-runs very cool
-quiet
-great for the price

Cons: -Original card was DOA but that got replaced

Other Thoughts: To the people that are complaining about the card not having crossfire support, read the the freakin specs. If you bought this card not knowing it didn't support crossfire it is your own fault and you shouldn't rant about the card not having it. The fact it doesn't have crossfire shouldn't influence the score you give it.

1 out of 5 eggsNO CROSSFIRE SUPPORT

Pros: Ok card for the most part but it does not support SLI or Crossfire or even Duel Graphics Support.

If you seek SLI, Crossfire or Duel Graphics then this is
NOT THE CARD FOR YOU.

Cons: NO SLI, NO DUEL GRAPHICS, NO CROSSFIRE SUPPORT
You can update the drivers all day long but it will not change the fact that this card is NOT SLI READY. It is just slightly better then my old 260 GTX and even that older card of several years ago IS SLI READY but not this 6770.

Other Thoughts: I give it 1 egg because the card works but I removed 4 eggs due to the fact that this card is NOT SLI, Crossfire or Duel Graphics READY.

Who puts out any video card today that is NOT SLI or CROSSFIRE READY? Asus does.

Upon reading the reviews I over looked the very bottom of the page where it says Crossfire Support. This card has everything else and I mean everything EXCEPT CROSSFIRE OR SLI OR DUEL GRAPHICS SUPPORT.

Now I am stuck with a card that I can not return so I guess I will hope for the best.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear cybercapri,

I am sorry but this card does not support crossfire. It is listed in the Newegg product description as well as the Asus product specification. I apologize for the mistake and if you have any other questions please contact me at cl-jeremy@asus.com (ref#1043-1336). Thank you.

2 out of 5 eggsasus_pls_go

Pros: It runs very cool, and I am telling you that with the sincerest regard towards the efforts by Asus to make a good product.

Cons: Every game has screen tears. Settings, temperature, drivers, and other system hardware have no effect on this -- screen tears and bluescreens never cease. The framerates also hit low spikes. The frames go from a smooth rate of 60, 80, or 90 (depending on the game) down into the 30's out of nowhere, at the same GPU load. No setting changes this. It did this to me on 11 different titles which spanned from 1999 to 2011 release dates. I had a GT 430 with GDDR3 which was more consistent than this thing with the same games. I even saw these problems on iD games, and I have NEVER seen problems with iD games that the lazier and greedier developers refuse to fix. I'm not sure how cheap the RAM modules are, but I know for a fact that a GT 430 should not be beating a 6770. Skyrim utterly destroys it on the lowest settings. The included software does not recognize the included drivers, so it won't work. I hope their RMA repair is good because I don't want to ever purchase an Asus product again.

Other Thoughts: I'm not quite sure what they were thinking with this VGA cooler. I got a huge laugh when I first opened it up. This thing stays COOL, though. I will give them that. They should have put that cooling design budget into some better RAM and used a reference cool with ram heatsinks instead. The frame tears are ridiculous. I'd also prefer that more heat is directed out of the back.

Manufacturer Response:

Dear Valued Customer,

I am sorry you aren't reaching optimal performance with your HD6770. Since the included software did not recognize the drivers, have you looked elsewhere or are you using the initial drivers? AMD and ASUS provide drivers here: http://support.amd.com/us/Pages/AMDSupportHub.aspx and here: http://www.asus.com/Graphics_Cards/AMD_Series/EAH6770_DC2DI1GD5/#download

Please try those if you haven't already and contact me if you are still having problems. My email is cl-jeremy@asus.com and please include the reference #1043-607. Thank you.

Jeremy

5 out of 5 eggsGreat Product

Pros: Great Price, No problems with any video or game play. Disregard my last review. 7.4 Performance rating on windows if over-clocked and 7.3 at normal speed.

Cons: UPDATE DRIVER THROUGH WEBSITE after cd installation. Windows update will screw everything up. Computer will freeze during video playback and Computer will not detect monitor 8 out of 10 times during start up. Problem happened with following parts:

Gigabyte X79-UD3 Motherboard
Intel i7 3820 Processor
EAD6770 This item
G.Skill Ripjaws Z series (Dont think this one matters) Memory

Other Thoughts: Over all I'm happy with this product.

5 out of 5 eggs

Pros: Great price, runs everything I play, nearly silent and very cool! (temp wise and visually)

Cons: Sometimes flickers and crashes when overclocking using the AMD Vision Control center feature, but that's really of my own doing and not necessary to use the card to it's full potential.

Other Thoughts: I bought this card on the recommendation of a friend for my first budget gaming build. I'm currently running an Athlon x3 455, along with this and I've managed to play the following at 1920 x 1080:

CS:S (Maxed 60+fps)
Battlefield Bad Company 2 (Medium 45-60fps)
GTA 4 (High settings and above 30fps - 45fps)
BF3 (High settings, 30fps - 45fps)
MW3 (Textures on Extra, X4 AA, Everything checked Yes, or on, 45fps)
Dirt 3 (60fps Average)

5 out of 5 eggsAsus 6770

Pros: I just installed this card in my first gaming rig and it performs exceptionally well for the price. Battlefield 3 is running smooth at 1600x900 all high settings, and this card stays cool throughout gameplay.

Cons: absolutely none
